OMG. This place rocks! I had the shrimp taco and the governor which both were delicious but the governor is the bomb! I highly recommend this food establishment. Also the service is excellent.

Solid option for Mexican food. Portions are good size for the cost. The meat is all well-seasoned, the red and green salsa options are both flavorful. Service is very quick. The only negative for me is that they don't give complimentary chips and salsa for the table, like some restaurants do. Still definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Been here a handful of times and the food is always delicious! Whether you get a breakfast burrito or tacos you will be satisfied, I know I was! If you want something really yummy and juicy get the birria taco! The green sauce was so tasteful too! The people here are friendly and the service is pretty quick! The ambiance is cute and cozy! I always make sure to stop here when I'm in town.

Great tacos in Williams! We got chips with Nany's salsa, which was recommended by the owner, and street tacos, regular tacos, and a quesadilla. Everything was so good, my brother really liked their shrimp taco and said it was the best meal while we were traveling to Grand Canyon National Park. I was not used to the Nany's salso though, but I thought it worth a try, and their chips were good.

Hey folks, this is a must stop in Williams! The tacos here are as good as any I've had in the US. Skip the other tourist traps and head right down to Nanys Tacos. I tried the Lengua, Shrimp, and Fish tacos and they were all delicious. The lengua was tender and flavorful. Perfectly seasoned! The fish and the shrimp both tasted fresh and the seafood was cooked to perfection, not rubbery or overdone and the toppings accentuate and does not overpower the flavors. We were the only table seated when we got here, but pretty soon more groups of people came down to eat. There was only one server, so he was getting overwhelmed a little bit. But other than it, it was a great experience. There was plenty of street parking around if you were driving here.

A must stop in Williams! We started with the chips and guacamole. My husband had three tacos rice & beans. El Pastor, Fish & Shrimp...outstanding! I had a Birria taco with consume dipping sauce. Highly recommend from the locals on the Railway Line as the best place in town for Mexican- thanks Rob! We walked the few blocks after a day up at the Grand Canyon and it was worth it! We shared their famous Carne Asada Tacos with rice and beans- jumped in eating so fast I forgot to take a picture- stope in the little corner restaurant - delicious

Wow! Great tacos! We stopped in for dinner and the place was packed. Neat Mexican vibe inside. Dining room is quite small, however the tables were turning pretty quickly and we were seated in no time. Our server was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Our orders came out quickly. I had the chips and salsa with the Nanny's salsa which I was very good. I had the Quesabirria and El Pastor tacos and they were both amazing. My wife had the steak burrito that was a little bland, nothing like the tacos. We all enjoyed our meal and would recommend to others when in the area.

We walked in already a bit disappointed. Right off the bat, they don't allow you to do red and green sauce on enchiladas--you have to pick one. Same with the meat: no mixing, it all has to be the same. Their beer selection is "unlimited" only if you count about five different bottled beers. The vibe inside wasn't the warmest either. They do have pozole, but fair warning--they drop a whole pig ear in it. That was a hard pass for me. The server recommended the Governor taco (shrimp), but it came drowned in a creamy sauce that made it super heavy. Definitely not for me. We also tried the mini jalapeño chimichangas, which I won't order again--they had no meat, kind of a weird seafood taste, and just didn't work. Chips and salsa? Be prepared to pay extra, and honestly the salsa was way too salty. The enchiladas themselves were fine--good, not great. Service was just okay. Overall, not a place I'd rush back to. We asked for a check we were the only place in the whole place. She said you have to go to the

Wow really wonderful food. For dinner we shared the steak fajitas which was delicious!!! Large flour tortillas were hot and fresh. Service is extremely attentive and friendly. Definitely coming back to try breakfast. read more

Been just over a month since our last visit and decided to stop for lunch. The tacos are still amazing y tiene más sabor (have great flavor). Todays visit saw our group order the carne taco, quesabirria taco with consommé; bean cheese and rice burrito, and the governor taco (shrimp, jalapeño tomato onion and mozzarella). Steady foot traffic but staff was quick to seat and serve everyone. Definitely going to have some full belly's and sleepy folks on the drive home. read more

We sat around until everyone around us was served, most of whom arrived after us. It appeared that there was no real control of what and when food came out of the kitchen. There is no wait staff so you're pretty much forgotten after you place your order. I finally asked for my money back and left. I don't recommend this restaurant. read more

This place is so good. The lengua was so tender we also ordered a Burria quesadilla that was big enough to feed my whole family. The consome was the best I ever had and the meat was so tender. Great serving sizes for the price. But don't over order like we did lol. Will come back again next time in town for sure! I would give 10 stars if I could. read more

We were in the area riding the little coaster and needed to find someplace to eat. This place was calling out to me lol. We had carne tacos as well as the quesabirria tacos. Every western desert mountain town of sufficient size has a taqueria that probably blows the nearby traveler-themed restaurants out of the water. Nanys Tacos is that taqueria in Williams, AZ. The bowl of pozole was heaping. Hunkering, even. The Chile Colorado burrito was also sizable, but not unreasonably so, and the salsa did not overpower the meat like that dish sometimes does. Combined with a friendly and accommodating staff who didn't lose their patience with us agrand Canyon-bound tourists, and you have a local gem. Would recommend. read more

Meh Tried this place cuz my husband saw it had such great reviews so I had high hopes. We were seated and greeted quickly. They asked if we wanted chips and salsa for $7.99 to which we upgraded to guacamole. This came out quickly.... guac was good and chunky...if you like that. Salsa was more like a spicy tomato soup ....not great. Our drink order was taken 2 sodas and 3 waters. Sodas came quickly as well but the water didn't come til much later so we actually just walked back to the car to grab our own and that was faster. We got 3 breakfast burritos which according to the menu included potatoes. Chorizo- tasty but on the burnt side Egg and bacon - a little bland, bacon was thick cut with too much stringy fat Steak and potato - very good, tasty All the burritos had a tortilla that seemed home made and for me was the best part. My husband wanted 2 tacos but the server unsold him to 3. Tacos are a good size, tasty with plenty of filling. He got; Shrimp Barbados Asada So why the low review? Service not very friendly - never came to check on us after served, slow with the drinks....I mean we went and got our own...and they never brought us the check plus overcharged us in the end. I asked what the extra $2 was for and she said it was for the potatoes in the breakfast burrito and I said "are you sure, I think it's included" she said "no" ....after we left I relooked at the menu and sure enough it says they are included guess it's my bad Food was average at best. I wouldn't recommend going but I have also been to the Mexican food place in the Main Street and would recommend them-great food, great service. read more

It isn't a fancy restaurant, but the food and service were amazing! Get both salsas! The one with grilled jalapeños and onions was soooo good and the cheesy one was great too. Our whole family enjoyed everything and our waitress, Emily, was excellent as well. read more

Definitely worth the money and the drive! Nanys was a teeny tiny hidden gem serving some delicious food, we ordered two quesabirria tacos, a carne asada burrito, a cheese quesadilla, 4 tacos de birria, 2 fish tacos, one taco de lengua, and two carne azada tacos. To drink? Two modelos, and three aguas for $110. Little pricey but it was really good!!! The waitress was super sweet and the cook spent his time singing and dancing. It is a very small space and the food is made to order so DO NOT show up starving. Five stars well worth it! Will definitely be back next time we are in town read more

If you're a fan of Birria tacos, you absolutely have to eat here! This has been by far, the best meal we've had while on our vacation traveling from Oklahoma to San Diego and now on our way back. Seriously, if you're passing through Williams, AZ, and you love Birria tacos, you have to eat here. Only thing that would have made it any better is if they had A/C, but the tacos, freaking awesome. read more

This place is an awesome little gem of authentic Mexican food in Williams!! The space is small and decor is nothing special but the service is fast and friendly. The food speaks for it self!! Everything is authentic and has the perfect amount of flavor and heat! I hate a sample plate of tacos (carne asada, chili verde, barbacoa and brisket) they were all so in and if I am ever back in Williams I will definitely be stopping by again! Delicious! I got the shrimp and fish tacos to go and they were awesome. Nice and fresh! The green salsa was also great. The staff was super friendly and I would highly recommend going if your in the area. Just make sure you check the address I got mixed up in the beginning but they moved locations. read more

We were meeting some fellow Minnesotans who were on a separate vacation from us. Our paths crossed in Williams so I started looking for restaurants. The reviews for Nany's were the reason we went there. We called ahead to hold 13 seats since I read they have limited seating. And they do have that. About 25 people max for seating. They saved us some spots and were immediately seated. Ordering was quick and efficient. The waitress rated back the orders and we had no issues with the service. The staff were very accommodating even though they were closing before we were finished. Everyone had different tacos, burritos and quesadillas. Nobody disliked anything. Hard to believe with 6 teens and a 4 year old amongst us. Our daughter was on a quest for authentic Mexican food and we definitely found it here. We all recommend eating here and don't worry about the best dish, they are all good. Just order and share to get the taste of all the dishes. Oh, and the chips and salsa and special chips and salsa are both spicy but amazing. read more

I saw another review say that these were the best tacos they ever had - I thought, "well, that's probably just because they haven't eaten tacos in Los Angeles before!" But after eating here - wow! These really rival any tacos I've ever had, whether in the Bay Area or LA. Very flavorful and huge tacos. Definitely recommend! read more

Que bien! Necesita comer aquí - you need to make this a top dining spot when you are in Williams. It has a small interior, approximately 5 tables. No outdoor dining that I could see. We ordered our food to go. The soup on the weekend is plentiful, fresh, and flavorful. The tacos were delicious!! We ordered several different ones: pollo asasdo, carne asada, carnitas, green chile. She returned with the coffee and said "You know if it gets busy...." leaving the sentence hanging. I replied I would leave if it did (the restaurant only had maybe 3 tables full at that point, by the time I left at 640 there were two tables empty). After eating the food, which was quite good, I promptly packed up and left as soon as I could 25 minutes after being seated. I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. In today's economy, making your customers feel like they need to eat and run, and doing so in a rude way, is a master class in how to make your restaurant fail. I do not recommend this place.

During our travels through Williams, Arizona, we decided to try Nanny's Tacos based on its high Yelp reviews. Admittedly, upon entering the restaurant, it didn't make a great first impression, appearing as a typical hole-in-the-wall establishment. However, I've had some incredible meals in similar type places, so I remained hopeful. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be a mix of highs and lows. The restaurant was small and crowded, reflecting its popularity among visitors who likely read the same reviews we did. It would greatly benefit from outdoor seating to accommodate more patrons comfortably. Additionally, the restroom was tiny and poorly maintained, emanating an unpleasant odor reminiscent of a porta potty. It's essential for them to address this issue which can be addressed without significant costs. Now, let's talk about the food. The standout dish was undoubtedly the QuesaBira. It was by far the best item on the menu. Though a bit greasy, it showcased a somewhat traditional preparation methods, with the tortilla dipped in the flavorful liquid the pork was cooked in before being placed on the flattop to melt the cheese and pork. It was a top-notch dish worth trying. On the other hand, the remaining dishes left much to be desired. I ordered the steak burrito, which was oversalted and disappointingly small, roughly 3/4 the size of a typical Chipotle burrito. Despite its affordable price of $10, it lacked the flavor I was anticipating. We also had the steak tacos, and while they were decent, they didn't leave a lasting impression. Same thing with the Cali Quesadilla, which had a generous portion size. Unfortunately, the steak was chewy, and the bacon was undercooked, detracting from the overall experience. Considering our visit, I struggle to understand the high reviews Nanny's Tacos received. To me, it falls into the 2-3 star range. The standout dish, the QuesaBira, deserves praise, but the other offerings failed to impress in terms of flavor. Although I acknowledge the restaurant's small size and the need for improvements, such as addressing cleanliness issues, I believe there is room for enhancement without significant financial investment. read more

Nany's food is amazing! My wife and I stayed in Williams for two days visiting the Grand Canyon.. we are from SoCal and we know our Mexican food to say the least. Nany's honestly is one of the best we've ever had, great authenticity, family feel, and best was Nany visited with us for 20 min or so made it an even better experience! If you follow the address posted on the hotel, it says that it is at the corner of the second street, but it is not. When we found the address on the post, there is another post saying that they have moved to the railroad. read more
