OMG. This place rocks! I had the shrimp taco and the governor which both were delicious but the governor is the bomb! I highly recommend this food establishment. Also the service is excellent.

Solid option for Mexican food. Portions are good size for the cost. The meat is all well-seasoned, the red and green salsa options are both flavorful. Service is very quick. The only negative for me is that they don't give complimentary chips and salsa for the table, like some restaurants do. Still definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Been here a handful of times and the food is always delicious! Whether you get a breakfast burrito or tacos you will be satisfied, I know I was! If you want something really yummy and juicy get the birria taco! The green sauce was so tasteful too! The people here are friendly and the service is pretty quick! The ambiance is cute and cozy! I always make sure to stop here when I'm in town.

Great tacos in Williams! We got chips with Nany's salsa, which was recommended by the owner, and street tacos, regular tacos, and a quesadilla. Everything was so good, my brother really liked their shrimp taco and said it was the best meal while we were traveling to Grand Canyon National Park. I was not used to the Nany's salso though, but I thought it worth a try, and their chips were good.

Hey folks, this is a must stop in Williams! The tacos here are as good as any I've had in the US. Skip the other tourist traps and head right down to Nanys Tacos. I tried the Lengua, Shrimp, and Fish tacos and they were all delicious. The lengua was tender and flavorful. Perfectly seasoned! The fish and the shrimp both tasted fresh and the seafood was cooked to perfection, not rubbery or overdone and the toppings accentuate and does not overpower the flavors. We were the only table seated when we got here, but pretty soon more groups of people came down to eat. There was only one server, so he was getting overwhelmed a little bit. But other than it, it was a great experience. There was plenty of street parking around if you were driving here.

Highly recommend from the locals on the Railway Line as the best place in town for Mexican- thanks Rob! We walked the few blocks after a day up at the Grand Canyon and it was worth it! We shared their famous Carne Asada Tacos with rice and beans- jumped in eating so fast I forgot to take a picture- stope in the little corner restaurant - delicious

Wow! Great tacos! We stopped in for dinner and the place was packed. Neat Mexican vibe inside. Dining room is quite small, however the tables were turning pretty quickly and we were seated in no time. Our server was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Our orders came out quickly. I had the chips and salsa with the Nanny's salsa which I was very good. I had the Quesabirria and El Pastor tacos and they were both amazing. My wife had the steak burrito that was a little bland, nothing like the tacos. We all enjoyed our meal and would recommend to others when in the area.

We walked in already a bit disappointed. Right off the bat, they don't allow you to do red and green sauce on enchiladas--you have to pick one. Same with the meat: no mixing, it all has to be the same. Their beer selection is "unlimited" only if you count about five different bottled beers. The vibe inside wasn't the warmest either. They do have pozole, but fair warning--they drop a whole pig ear in it. That was a hard pass for me. The server recommended the Governor taco (shrimp), but it came drowned in a creamy sauce that made it super heavy. Definitely not for me. We also tried the mini jalapeño chimichangas, which I won't order again--they had no meat, kind of a weird seafood taste, and just didn't work. Chips and salsa? Be prepared to pay extra, and honestly the salsa was way too salty. The enchiladas themselves were fine--good, not great. Service was just okay. Overall, not a place I'd rush back to. Here we are again in Williams AZ. We come once a year. We found Nanys a couple years ago and wow! My family and I love Mexican food. We have a place back home we love and think is the best. Nanys is right on par with the best of Mexican restaurants. The quesobirria tacos with consume is super yummy. All their salsas are perfect. Their Barbacoa is juicy and delicious. Update: brought our leftovers back to the hotel. Chose to eat the leftovers instead of the decent but not great hotel breakfast in the morning. Hubby says "this is great even cold". A huge compliment from the pickiest eater I know. Original Review: After all the decorations on route 66, we weren't sure about the understated exterior. We gave it a go and boy am I glad we did. I had the pollo burrito which was delicious. Authentic chicken with beans onions and cilantro. Hubby had 3 tacos. 1 chicken, 1 brisket and 1 carne asada. He was expecting street tacos size but they were full size tacos. While eating, I could see a couple on the sidewalk debating on coming in. I wanted to pull them in and assure them it was great food. Oh and another thing, the food was hot. Temperature hot. Not from a warming oven. When my husband went to pay he noted how clean the kitchen was. A great experience. It's hard to believe that you can find a place that is this good in a town that is quite small. My fiancé and I are visiting from Hawaii. We came to Williams to catch the train to the Grand Canyon and both nights we needed to find a place to fill our tummies. We came here the first night we were staying in town (based off of other great reviews) and had the chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, chips and salsa. Listen y'all, this place is the real deal. The food is so, so good and the owner of the restaurant is just the sweetest. You can tell she really puts her heart and soul in this place. She makes all of the salsas/ hot sauces and they are absolutely kick ass. The habanero is a banger! We loved it so much we stopped by to grab more tacos before heading back to our airbnb for our last night here. If you're visiting Williams, do yourself a favor and go check out Nanys Tacos, you'll regret it if you don't! read more

We stopped for lunch on our way to Reno after reading good reviews about the food. We stood in line waiting for the cashier, when we mentioned we wanted to eat there rather than take-out the young woman literally gave us a massive eye-roll and frown. She dropped the menus, and stomped off even though we tried telling her we knew what we wanted. We immediately decided to try our luck elsewhere. Too bad restaurants with good food have terrible help. read more

Nany's Tacos was the best. Maraya, the owner sat and talked with us as we ate. She has owned a food truck in Phoenix for 25 year. Food was terrific. Waitress and cook were fantastic. The place was a little hole in the wall on a backstreet in Williams. Do yourself a favor and find it. Chef's ! read more

Wow!!! This place was a jewel. Referred to us by Wylan from the deli at Safeway. Thank you Wylan! The menu is very simple but the food was soooo tasty. This place is just off Route 66 on a little side street it's easily missed. I loved my quesobirria tacos. My husband enjoyed his cabeza and lengua tacos. Definitely recommend this place. read more

The absolute best Mexican food in Williams. The menu is limited now, mostly tacos and burritos, but this place is definitely tops! We have had all of the tacos and none of them disappoint. My personal favorites are the chili Verde and the chili colorado. Their chili Verde is the best in town. My wife (and everyone else we talk to) loves the quesabirria. The lengua tacos are delicious too. Not everyone has lengua, or does it right, but Nany knows what she's doing. All of the meats are done well and delicious! read more

I'm very confused on how this place has 5 stars. The food was far from "authentic" and more along the lines of bland and questionable. There were tons of flies and every once in awhile, you could hear the flies get zapped in an electric fly trap. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This was a recommendation from the Grand Canyon train bartender and he wasn't wrong! The restaurant is small, but they do offer takeout. The tacos were great and my favorite was the Quesabirria Tacos and you must get the dipping sauce for them. Prices were reasonable. read more

We stopped here on our way out of Williams and are so glad we did. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Nany came out and talked to us and told us all about her, and the history of Nanys Tacos. We will definitely visit next time we come back. I asked for coffee and she handed me a menu and she asked if I knew what I wanted to eat. I said I needed some time to look at the menu and she frowned and walked away without saying a word. It was obvious she thought I was going to be there a while and didn't want me sitting at the table long. She returned with the coffee and said "You know if it gets busy...." leaving the sentence hanging. I replied I would leave if it did (the restaurant only had maybe 3 tables full at that point, by the time I left at 640 there were two tables empty). After eating the food, which was quite good, I promptly packed up and left as soon as I could 25 minutes after being seated. I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. In today's economy, making your customers feel like they need to eat and run, and doing so in a rude way, is a master class in how to make your restaurant fail. I do not recommend this place.

The lamb chops are absolutely outstanding, and the filet was cooked to a flawless medium-rare, exactly as ordered. During our travels through Williams, Arizona, we decided to try Nanny's Tacos based on its high Yelp reviews. Admittedly, upon entering the restaurant, it didn't make a great first impression, appearing as a typical hole-in-the-wall establishment. However, I've had some incredible meals in similar type places, so I remained hopeful. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be a mix of highs and lows. The restaurant was small and crowded, reflecting its popularity among visitors who likely read the same reviews we did. It would greatly benefit from outdoor seating to accommodate more patrons comfortably. Additionally, the restroom was tiny and poorly maintained, emanating an unpleasant odor reminiscent of a porta potty. It's essential for them to address this issue which can be addressed without significant costs. Now, let's talk about the food. The standout dish was undoubtedly the QuesaBira. It was by far the best item on the menu. Though a bit greasy, it showcased a somewhat traditional preparation methods, with the tortilla dipped in the flavorful liquid the pork was cooked in before being placed on the flattop to melt the cheese and pork. It was a top-notch dish worth trying. On the other hand, the remaining dishes left much to be desired. I ordered the steak burrito, which was oversalted and disappointingly small, roughly 3/4 the size of a typical Chipotle burrito. Despite its affordable price of $10, it lacked the flavor I was anticipating. We also had the steak tacos, and while they were decent, they didn't leave a lasting impression. Same thing with the Cali Quesadilla, which had a generous portion size. Unfortunately, the steak was chewy, and the bacon was undercooked, detracting from the overall experience. Considering our visit, I struggle to understand the high reviews Nanny's Tacos received. To me, it falls into the 2-3 star range. The standout dish, the QuesaBira, deserves praise, but the other offerings failed to impress in terms of flavor. Although I acknowledge the restaurant's small size and the need for improvements, such as addressing cleanliness issues, I believe there is room for enhancement without significant financial investment. read more

Nany's food is amazing! My wife and I stayed in Williams for two days visiting the Grand Canyon.. we are from SoCal and we know our Mexican food to say the least. Nany's honestly is one of the best we've ever had, great authenticity, family feel, and best was Nany visited with us for 20 min or so made it an even better experience! They have moved from the address shown on yelp. The address on yelp now is a hotel. If you follow the address posted on the hotel, it says that it is at the corner of the second street, but it is not. When we found the address on the post, there is another post saying that they have moved to the railroad. read more
