Simply mind blowing. 6/18/2024 had 4 brake rotors replaced. Why not pads also...I don't know (…read morecould have been MY choice?) but being told should always be replaced together. 3 days later, while driving in Ashburn I noticed breaks still causing car to shake . 3 days after repair. I called and explained concern and fact that the next day I was taking car x country to Arizona. Hence couldn't bring it in. I told them I would bring it back in when car returns after sons school ends. I asked that they make notes to my concerns about the brakes before I left town so file is documented for later on. They did have notes and did know about the concern reported 3 days after initial repair. Son brings car home from Arizona several months later.....bring car in......they say Rotors warped but tough s^&*. No warranty .(3 days!!!!) They wanted over $1,100 AGAIN to replace rotors that they installed less than a year ago. They said, " come get car, keys under matt". Prior to this experience, I liked bringing car there as it is family owned and close to my work. Unable to discuss situation on phone as they didn't ever answer and relied on texts only. Closed mid day when went there to talk about it. Like I said, Mind Blowing!

I have called and always get sent to voicemail saying it's outside of office hours even when they're supposed to be open, and I sent a message through Facebook that was marked as read but got no response. I haven't seen anything about them being closed, they're just impossible to reach. Not very good customer service.

Recently I got to a stage on the project car (aka Betty) that it was time to turn to brake drums and I could think of no place better, or more economical to tackle this task. The downside? You gotta already have access to the base; but hey, a lot of my fellow yelpers fit that requirement. Oh, and you better not be afraid to get dirty; this place is hands on; they'll help if you really need it, but you are the labor and talent working on your wheels. Tire mounting and balancing, brake drums and rotors and the like, the onsite tech will handle the machine work for you, but you gotta have those things off the vehicle yourself. A bay or two are set aside for oil changes and other quick work, stalls and lifts are available for the more time consuming work. They have a storage area, for a small fee, if you need more than one weekend to get the job done. You don't own more than basic hand tools you say? That's okay too, there are plenty of tools available for use. You just gotta follow the rules of the Tool Crib. Parts of Betty and I will be back soon!

The signs are still up and the phone message is as if it's still open, but no one answers. We don't join the military to get rich, but there have always been things like MWR Hobby Auto centers to help save our pitiful pennies. This has been one of the perks I have enjoyed the most in my career. So sad to see it die.

Galean, Daniel, and AK were honest, communicative, and very thorough in explaining what was going on with my car. I never felt out of the loop, which I really appreciated. I dropped my car off last Thursday, parts had to be ordered, and they still completed the repair right on the timeline they promised. Picked up my car yesterday (4/1/26) My car is now running like new! I was referred by a mechanic friend who said they're the best in the area--and he was absolutely right. I'll definitely be coming back for any future work. Thanks again, GT Peace team!

The owners, Galen and his brother Sean, are top-tier professionals who truly understand their craft. Whether you drive a foreign or domestic vehicle, you can have complete confidence in their ability to service it with expertise. I highly recommend this shop. Their professionalism, technical proficiency, and attention to detail are evident from the moment you walk in. I have personally trusted and patronized them for nearly ten years, which speaks to the consistency and reliability of their work. When it comes to pricing, you are receiving outstanding value. The quality of service is absolutely commensurate with what you pay for, and they stand behind their work with confidence. We asked for a shorter time since it was my daughter's spring break. At first they said it was ok but then they changed their mind. They insisted on a minimum of three weeks. I think that they run a racket on the tesla loaners and charge the insurance with luxury rentals. Their main focus was to secure as much money they could procure for themselves ignoring all the requests of the customers. In total they took around $12,000 for a repair of less than $2000 for an average paint shop. (they tell everyone a minimum of three weeks!)

They gave me a repair estimate of $17,335.18 on October 15, which seemed reasonable, and I assumed work was being done. For over two months, I waited with no updates. Suddenly, on December 5, they emailed demanding the loaner back immediately and threatened a police report for "failure to return a rental vehicle." I called their rep (Alfonso), who said he would extend the loaner--he never followed up. That evening, the loaner was remotely disabled (Valet Mode) while I was driving, stranding me overnight in 20°F snowy/rainy weather on a busy DC street. I had to pay for towing myself to avoid freezing. The next morning (December 6), they called police (Rockville and Prince George's County), claiming I failed to return the rental. They also told officers my Florida license was "fake" or fraudulent. Police cleared me immediately. I repeatedly explained my disabilities (immune-compromised, OCD, ADHD, anxiety) and asked for accommodations to get my medication and belongings from the loaner (less than ¼ mile away at a friend's house). They refused and left me stranded without transportation or meds ever since. Now they demand over $14,000 in storage/rental fees--almost as much as the repair estimate--yet no work was ever done on my car. I have video, emails, bills, and records. This was unsafe, unprofessional, and unacceptable. Avoid if you value safety and clear communication.
