I wish 0 starts was an option, and I never believed it when other people said things like that until my experience at this shop. Let's start from the beginning, I bought a used car and the previous owners had the engine replaced at this shop, and so because I was having issues with the engine and oil leaking from my new car I was forced to take it back to the source, not my choice. When I did bring it here, the first time, I was told they had no idea where the leak was coming from and that my check engine light "might" indicate something is wrong. I "might" need to replace the catalytic converter and it would cost $1000 for parts plus 5 hours of labor. All that for $100. So not feeling comfortable with this shop, or driving around hoping my check engine light didn't mean anything I took it to the shop I've been going to for years. They quickly found the source of the leak and told me that my catalytic converter was completely clogged and was a source of the check engine light. They fixed my catalytic converter in less than 2 hours, not 5. They did advise me to bring the car back to the shop that replaced the engine as the source of the oil leak happened when they damaged a seal installing the engine. They also found that the electrical wiring wasn't correct and that's why my check engine light keeps coming back, again, this was all a result of the engine installation. I took the car back to progressive and gave them the detailed list of what the other shop found, they were very specific and even wrote down what to tell them. Well... Once again I got my car back from progressive who said everything was "fine" and my drive way is full of oil spots and my car sounds worse than when I initially brought it in. They refuse to fix the problem even when I had another shop spell it out for them. I cannot wait until I no longer have this car, and I don't have to deal with this shop. Buyer beware, if you actually want your car repaired properly take it anywhere else! read more

Last week I called here to find out how long I would have to wait for an inspection. The shop is ten minutes from my home, and I thought I would take a chance, since the gentleman said I was next in line. I came in, gave them my keys and sat down to wait. He said it would be twenty to thirty minutes and I would be out of there. Fifteen passed and he went somewhere (maybe lunch?). A young girl took his place at the desk. To make a long story short, my inspection took an hour and a half. There was nobody in front of me, and you all know a regular state inspection only should take 20 minutes. Then, they failed me for a battery tie down! I have had the car inspected 3 times before this and not failed. Even the auto parts store said they couldn't believe they failed me for a tie down. Anyway, the girl said if I came back they would take me immediately and re- inspect for a dollar. So I just came back for the re-inspection. I asked how long it would be, "Ten minutes?" She said she would ask the mechanic. She came back and said twenty minutes! For real! I usually spend twenty minutes having an inspection. All he had to do was see the tie down and pass the vehicle. The girls said it takes a long time to get back into the computer and get the inspection straightened out. Apparently the inspector isn't very computer savvy. Well, unless you really want to be taken advantage of, I would NOT come here for an inspection. read more
