But during my troubleshooting, something wasn't adding up - it felt more "electrical" or "computer" based. I noticed the "service engine soon" light and decided I needed a code reader. Long story short, I tracked one down at NAPA and headed in to buy it. The gentleman helping me was pleasant, and listened to my theory - he agreed the code reader would help. Sara was behind the counter and was able to track it down in inventory. Fast forward to an hour later. I'm back in the store to return the code reader - I had figured out the problem without it. I feel bad returning stuff like this, but ultimately I'll want a better code reader tool, but I want to research that more. Sara was there to help me again, and took care of things just dandy. The other fellow that worked with me on my first visit was interested in hearing the resolution. Good folks here, and I appreciate them just being there for me. Hopefully there isn't a "next time", but if I need something, I know these NAPA folks will be there to assist me.

I was so happy to stop at the store to pick up a part that I really needed. It was closing in about…read more10 or 15 minutes, but I was the only one there and no other cars in the parking lot except one employee. It's always been my experience when you buy wiper blades that the store has pre-installation. Not Napa auto parts! I was shocked as I thought Napa was a top-notch auto parts store compared to the competitors. Then I was told by the employee if I wanted installation, maybe I should go to the competitor! Wow. That was unexpected. I really needed the wiper blade as mine was ripped, but I wasn't too happy about not having an installed right away as the weather is pretty messy. The employee also explained that he could not leave the store because he was the only one there. Again, they were closing in 10 minutes and I was the only one there. I understand cameras and management watching, but I feel sometimes customer service and common sense should prevail. All in all it's a great product and here I am a day later and still don't have it installed as I will need to read the directions and next time go to the competitor I guess.

I called on Wednesday about a new Battery for my car and asked about the Core Charge on the new one…read moreand about getting a credit for my old battery and was told there was a Core Charge and that was it. I Next day I went in, bought a new battery, paid for the core charge, and told I can drop off the old battery at any Napa store. I spoke with a 6ft thin man, black hair in braids. I installed the new in their parking lot, brought in the old battery and was told by that counter person to leave it on the counter mat in front of him. I said Thanks, after not getting any words from the counter person, and walked all the way to the door, when a second counter person at the counter (shorter mid age man with thin blond hair) called out to me about the Core Credit. Only then did the Tall thin Black Hair counter person say there is an $18 core return credit available. I will not return to that Napa store because the first counter person was fine with me not getting the battery credit........No interest in serving the customer. Rather, happy to see the customer get shorted $18. NEVER AGAIN. The receipt Ref is VER. Emp 24. I spent $235.

I count myself lucky since I lost an important steering linkage while driving before St Patrick's…read moreday. How is that lucky you might ask? It's lucky because at highway speeds it would have resulted in the notorious "Death Wobble" common on dodge and jeep. So I lived to repair the problem. I was on a side street and limped my truck home that was pulling to the Right. If I made it to the railroad track I'm sure it would have sheared of the residual inner tie rod end as well. Anyway I found out it is possible to drive a vehicle with one wheel. Where can you go and pick up an emergency outer tie rod on a Sunday morning for a vintage 3/4 ton Dodge Ram? NAPA that's where. I wanted to redo both ends but they only had 1 at the time so I took what they had and will redo the rest of the front steering in the future. Special shout out to Mark P. For helping me get the part and the use of his floor jack and tools. Couldn't have done it without. I was also very lucky to have a neighbor who happen to have a 11 ton press in his garage. I was able to get it the vehicle rolling again. Parts on Line are about $11. And compared to 20-60 at NAPA. 18/2017
