More like 2 meatloaf patty's cooked and stacked covered in gravy. Mashed potatoes/gravy. Grilled green beans not a big fan but these were dang good. Garlic bread that cudda used more garlic & butter. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and told we could pick a place to sit. Our server was very friendly. The menu was easy to understand and the variety of food was perfect for this small restaurant. I ordered the fish and chips. My fiancé ordered shrimp and chips. We were very surprised at the portion, and the taste was really good. It's a small town feel, so it was nice to just take our time to eat and talk. There was no rush to get done eating. People may balk at the prices. But for good service, the rising cost of supplies, and the limited time they can stay open, the price for their food was not unrealistic. In fact, we had no problems with their pricing at all. You get quality food and excellent service. I can't wait to come back and eat here again. read more

We sought this place out after reading reviews. I'd give 3-1/2 stars if I could. It wasn't anything extraordinary, BUT the hamburgers that another table ordered looked pretty good. My husband ordered breakfast; the pancakes took up most of the plate and were unnecessarily large. For the cost of the plate, they made a killing in profit, but we do understand the cost of overhead. The eggs were perfectly cooked (OE) and the 2 slices pf bacon/2 sausages were nothing special. My cobb salad was average. The chicken did have some seasoning which was welcome, as the tomatoes were overly soft. The corn muffin with butter was AMAZING! Our initial server brought me a tiny glass of water while others had a medium water. Not sure what happened there. She went on break and sat at a table where we got to listen to her current life story while another server took care of us. We acknowledged that this is a small town cafe and can be expected, but our second server (wearing glasses) was working her buns off. Hope she got the tip. read more

The Napavine Grill has been several different restaurants over the past 28 years I have lived in the area. New owner brings their own spin on what a small town restaurant can be. Each time we have been treated to interesting menus and decor. The most resent face life and menu have not been a disappointment. The restaurant is spotless and the neatly decorated in a "Tigers" theme, honoring the Napavine High School. The owner said they want to embrace the community and have implemented several different reward programs for students. I believe one involves reading and ice cream? Then menu has more choices then one might expect and the food expertly done! The dessert case (it caught my eye on the way to our booth) a rare treat, with home made pies, slices of cake (including "Death By Chocolate"), assorted brownies, and lemon bars. All ranging from ~$2-4 each serving. We were told we could order a whole cake and/or their "Death By Chocolate" cake in advance for events. But, what did you eat, I am sure you are thinking a this point. I had the $11 special, a 1/3lb (!) cheese burger deluxe on a soft brioche bun, w/fresh sliced whole potato fries, and an old time chocolate malt (or, shake). They serve the malt in a large glass milkshake glass with the long handled spoon smothered in whipped cream. The inside of the glass had extra drizzles of chocolate running down the walls! They even brought out the rest of the malt in the big metal mixer cup!!! Just like I remember, 50 years ago, when I was a kid! All that for $11!!! My spouse had the in house/to order hand battered and fried Cod, Chips (french fries), and coleslaw. Both orders came out hot and fresh together from the busy kitchen. Everything was done to perfection! There is a large back room where one could have a nice sized party seating over 20 people at tables and chairs, that can be reserved. The Napavine Diner is a relatively new restaurant In Napavine. Open since last summer'21. The staff and D. the cook are quite friendly. (The most diverse staff in Napavine!) The food is overall delicious. Breakfast is served into the afternoon. The pies and cakes and soups are awesome! Clam chowder is homemade and to die for. The lady that makes all that is a gifted chef. It's a family place filled with families, workers and retirees. Fresh, not frozen, Cod and Halibut are a signature dish. Really nice surprise to find this restaurant on Yelp. We were looking for a late breakfast and we found the perfect spot. This is a mom, pop and son, smallish restaurant not far from I-5. Soon as you walk in you can feel the love and care they've put in. First of all, it's clean and happy looking. They use their own recipes for cooked corn beef and pork, house made desserts and a little toranni syrup (if you want it) in your coffee. It was delicious! While we were there a dad and little girl came in. The owner promised her ice cream if she ate all her protien (and delivered!) The husband spotted our dog in our van and made her bacon to go. I gave them 2 stars because the waitress was efficient and nice. We both ordered halibut. Very disappointing meal, and expensive for what was served. The halibut was flat as a pancake and dry. Hello, looking for a diner ? We were and am so glad we stopped . Sunday 6 pm checked out the menu and settled on the turkey dinner for my mom ... omg I swear all three of us could have split this , mashed potato , squash , a huge amount of stuffing and thick cuts of turkey , mmm . My sister ordered the 3 pcs cod , fresh lightly battered was very good . Now for me , the pork chops , mashed potato same veg as my moms , these were the largest pork chops I have ever been served . All of us took home a To go box we were very full , but wait apparently the owner makes her own pies , so mom and Lori split a piece ( really a wedge ) of the coconut cream they didn't put down the spoons till it was gone needdless to say we were stuffed . Heidi was our server and never stopped smiling , never did I see a glass with ice always topped them off . Jesus was the master chef in the kitchen his dinners were perfect , timing ,taste all of it . We sat in view of the service window and I swear the burgers that were sent out were stacked , saw onion rings that looked darn fresh home made . We happened upon this restaurant because we were nearby needing a place to eat and it was fantastic. We sat outside at the picnic table and enjoyed the great weather. There were 3 of us and I had halibut fish and chips (amazing), my husband had the French toast and loved it and our friend had the mushroom burger and loved it too. Everyone was super friendly and the food was nice and hot. The dole sorbet is sooooo good too!!! We can't wait to come back and try something else. read more
