We bought a wedding ring set, took it here to have it resized from a 7 to a 4.5. This was a new purchase from a box store. When I called ahead of time and described the ring and what I needed done, also stating there was nothing around the bottom of the ring that would be in the way, the individual on the phone stated that it could be done. Knowing that without them seeing the ring there was no assurity it could be done, we mentioned we would bring it in to be looked over. We brought it in within 1 hour of the phone call. The ring was taken by a young lady into a back room so she could show it to someone (I guess the expert). We knew there was a problem, when they came back and shut the door, so we couldn't hear the conversation. They both reappear and the older woman stated that it could not be done do to the diamonds on the side of the ring and they don't size down more than 1 or 1.5. Of course I was disappointed, but my husband stated we just were at the wrong place. Sure enough we took it, the same day, to The Diamond Studio, they looked at it with no hesitation and said it would be ready in a week. We did not share our experience with Naperville Jewelers to The Diamond Studio staff. Well here it is, we picked it up today. As instructed and promised, the two rings were resized from a 7 to a 4.5 and sodded together and look beautiful. I have stated this repeatedly and I will say it again. Don't say something can't be done, just say YOU aren't capable of doing it. read more

I needed a place to resize my watch bracelet after I acquired a few recently. I'm usually a DIYer, but this is brand new territory for me so I got a bit spooked! I walked in during lunch hour and they quickly took care of me. 5 minutes later, they were done resizing both my watches and I was out the door! Had a nice chat with the staff there and they were all extremely friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. And I didn't! After a day of wearing one of my watches, I noticed that the clasp was a bit uneven and was not sitting on my wrist as well as it could be. "You piece of sh!t" says OWNER Edmond. Wife paid to have ring sized. Ring returns obviously damaged. I returned to ask for a refund and politely discuss. She was upset and I didn't want a scene, so I went alone. I just wanted a refund. Simple request. The owner was so offended that I would question his work that he starts yelling at me. "What are you, stupid?" "How do you know I did that?" "Look at all of this gold in here I made" "No money for you! Get out! You piece of sh!t" Yes, I was there to try to explain, but was always respectful. He's lost his mind. Now my wife's wedding ring is damaged, I'm out over $200 AND I need to pay to have HIS damage repaired. I'm almost 50 and I've NEVER been treated like that. Between him yelling at me, me trying to explain what happened and his associate (Dawn) yelling at him to stop screaming, it was a mess. People stopped on the sidewalk to watch the scene he was making. All of this because he was "insulted" that I questioned his work. Needless to say, it was TERRIBLE work and an OUTRAGEOUS way to treat a customer. Maybe he used to be a good jeweler, maybe he used to be professional, maybe he should retire. read more
