The food is just so-so. Not horrible but not that great either. I had the Veal Masala. It had an off taste, sort of like when you use cheap ingredients. It was overly sweet and the veal was slightly tough. My husband had the Chicken Florentine and it was salty. The wait staff are friendly. The owner visits with customers. He interrupted our dinner a few times. Not everyone wants to converse with the boss. Of note: One of the workers said it was hard to keep good people here. This was my first visit here and boy was it a good one. We went in for dinner at about 6, two couples were sitting eating already which was a good sign and there were constantly people getting TO-GO which was a good sign. The server couldn't be any more pleasant, quick to pick up the dirty plates and was on top of the refills. She even kept refilling the waters after we paid and sat and talked for a while which you don't see often. Ok on to the food, I've never had authentic Italian food but I imagine this is what it tastes like. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and the sauce was thick and flavorful, definitely didn't taste like it was from a can and he confirmed he makes the sauce to order and it tasted like it! We also got the bruschetta and garlic knots for appetizers which were delicious. The owner was very nice and talkative but not overbearing. He was very concerned that everything was cooked to our satisfaction! It was a really great first experience and I look forward to coming back. We absolutely love this place, we have been back a bunch of times and when I'm heading home from work and my wife says I'm on my own for food I make a detour straight to Napoli. What a wonderful meal! I had the Linguine Posillipo (mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari) and my husband had the cannelloni. It could not have been better, but...I saw another table that had a loaf of bread so I asked for that with the oil & garlic dipping. The bread is fresh baked and you must get the dipping oil! Visiting the Smithfield area for our grandson graduation. Checked out Yelp for nearby restaurants. Discovered Napoli for Italian cuisine. We were not disappointed. My wife enjoyed the gnocchi with Bolagnaz and I enjoyed the jumbo shrimps and bay scallops in a spicy red sauce. The seafood was cooked to perfection. The sauce was very good and compliments the seafood perfectly. The owner and Chef "Max" was out visiting to assure everything was satisfactory. He explained he came from Naples Italy and wanted to keep everything authentic. We don't get down here often, but will be returning to Napoli. Thanks for a great meal Max. read more

Started our amazing Napoli meal with my fave mozzarella de bufalo caprese and it was the best I've had since my trip to Naples last summer we went with the chicken Parmesan and today's special Bucatini with meatball and baked. The owner baked us a fresh loaf of his authentic Napoli bread and I'm telling you you need to make the trip here it was the best meal . Only thing missing .., was my after dinner shot of limoncello but that's ok I have some chillin at home waiting for me. Thank you to Julie out waitress for giving us a great recommendations. I was coming to eat her regularly, even though the menu and the food is a direct copycat from another restaurant not far away. One of the servers made derogatory comments to my party because a photo appeared on Yelp of a dining room in another restaurant when my party was eating there. The server proceeded to berate us for going to the other restaurant, as if we're not allowed to choose where we spend OUR money?? Despite friendly owners, clean place and food (even if it is directly copied from another place) I give this review 1 star. 1/2 star is better but not an option. Napoli is a good restaurant. We've often eaten their take out pizza. Our favorite to get is the Bianca Pizza with large pieces of soft and fresh cheeses on it. The only reason I give this place 4 stars is because it's touch and go with their pizzas. There have been times I've gotten a pizza that was completely burnt on the bottom or sopping wet with grease by the time I got home with it. My family has eaten inside the restaurant and the food is decent, but expensive. Overall, a good place to eat. read more

The food here is great but lately they've been price gouging. They've changed for the worse. Dishes are about 18 each, NOW you don't even get a salad with your meal if you order take out when previously they used to include it. For $18 a pop you'd think a small salad. Over $10 for a loaf of bread. Prices going up has deterred us from going as often as we'd like because the food IS good, but every time we go back it's more and more expensive.
