First time visiting this place. ‼FYI: if you want hookah they allow you to smoke on their rooftop, ONLY. the space (kinda covered, but still very cold on the roof), they did have tall heaters BUT it didn't help much honestly and they didn't want to move them closer to us to feel the warmth. SERVICE: 9/10 I waiter Angel (I think that's his name) he was pleasant and accommodating (as much as he could be). Music was cool too. They took requests(no dj, just aux cord vibes) still a vibe. AESTHETICS: cute inside the restaurant, and the rooftop was decorated cute, and couch was comfy. OVERALL: 3.5/5 I would definitely visit again (but in the Spring/Summer. We didn't eat. We went for hookah and vibes. I'll come back to try the food though!

This cute Mediterranean spot is in Johns Creek. Inside was gorgeous, great ambiance. We sat on the rooftop which was a bit empty yet there was a belly dancer to entertain the few of us there. It was incredibly hot on the rooftop, actually hotter than being outside. I tried the Salmon and Lamb, both were absolutely delicious. The food alone was 10/10. They also had Hookah but that is only available on the rooftop. Definitely a great spot to check out when in the area.

Came her on a Friday night with a few friends to celebrate ladies night. The place was beautiful and the service was great! The food was amazing! I'm not a big fan of Persian food but this place may have changed my mind. I ordered the sea bass with the Nara rice and it was so amazing. All of us ordered something different and all shared. The cauliflower with the salmon also blew my mind. I really loved it. The cauliflower had a hint of spice to it not to spicy but the perfect amount of heat. It was sooooo delicious! I would definitely be coming back!

Beautiful decorated venue! Nice ambience for sure! The food was actually really good! We were happy and didn't feel bloated for once. We will be back to check out the weekend entertainment on the roof top. They have music and belly dancing. We will be back soon!

Food is good the wings for the appetizer was amazing. Very cute place and quiet and private. The food is a bit pricey. But delicious. The waitress was a bit rude she kept pushing to order more food when I told her to let me try these orders first.

I have been to Nara several times and the only time I left not frustrated was on a Monday or Tuesday right around opening time (at the time was around 5-6 PM). This is one of the few rooftops in this area, so I really loved it. If you are looking for a more chill vibe, I suggest avoiding Nara on Friday and Saturday nights. The reason why I will more than likely never return to Nara is that their reservations are a nightmare. It is, firstly, so hard (if even likely) to walk in and get a table upstairs. Even if you are trying to get a table for 45 mins-1hr before you go, I suggest get a reservation and not try to walk in. Multiple times I have called and made reservations, days in advance, and was not seated in time (usually takes 20-30 mins to seat after your reservation time). Where one occurrence, I was even told I did not have a reservation when I had received their confirmation texts. If you are able to be seated, the music is loud and you will not be able to hear the person next to you. The food, I would say, is a fusion of Persian / Arab cuisine. You can get both zereshk polo and maqlooba here! The food is not bad, but did receive a completely cold maqlooba one time. I think even in their Persian dishes they use different spices that aren't authentic Persian. I did come here for my birthday, and they brought out a very cute birthday baklava with a candle and put on happy birthday.

Come to Nara around 9PM with a rooftop reservation if you want to hookah, drink, and eat to belly dancers who start performing around 9:30. We took a few shots at the bar while we were waiting for our table which took a while since bar service was slow. On the rooftop, the music is very loud (we had to request them to turn it down) because we couldn't even hear each other talk at our loudest volumes. If you want to hookah away from the loud music, you can reserve a patio table on the ground floor. Food: The hummus, wings, and spicy Nara fries were delicious as apps with the wings being my favorite. The combination kabob platter was a LOT of food, but I only enjoyed the beef barg for its tenderness and was not impressed by the lamb, ground beef, or chicken. Overall, I would come back to Nara to hookah with appetizers and skip most of the entrees as I've found better Persian food in the area, but none with the fun rooftop atmosphere.

The location looked outstanding! The atmosphere was fantastic, the decor upscale, and everything looked really clean. Upon walking in I was very excited to try the food. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the decor or the prices!! For Persian food there are much better places... my favorite is the Persian Basket! I suggest going there and having great food Vs this. My wife is Persian and makes fantastic Persian food... so it can be tough for us to find food that compares or lives up to our expectations. Our whole family loves Persian food and eats it quite regularly. We started with the wings. They were delightful, light and lemony. My youngest loved them... they fell off the bone with little effort... I thought they were quite good. For our meals my wife and I ordered the kabob, my oldest order the steak kabob, and my youngest ordered the shrimp. Prices are really quite high here especially for the reg kabob. You do get two good size kabobs but again the prices are out of line when compared to other locations. We know what it takes to make them... my wife does it quite often... and for the effort needed these prices are just pure robbery. The kabobs had a flavor/spice to them that made them just off. The texture was good, the cook was good, but this spice (maybe Cardamom) was overwhelming and I have never had kabob with this flavor. My wife didn't like it all, I tried to muscle through it... especially at these prices... but couldn't either. My oldest's steak kabob had the same issue... he didn't like his either. My youngest's shrimp was the best meal at the table... the spice flavor was not as prevalent but it was still there. The shrimp were huge! The fries were good. My youngest ate some of the shrimp and then some of my kabob. I ate the rest of his shrimp... again the shrimp were the star of the night. Service was great... really nice young girl but she didn't know anything about the wine selections... just way young... no big deal... she was always trying to be helpful. She was very delightful and always near buy... until it came time to pay. Then we waited and waited and waited! The bill came and I about fell over.. especially considering we were leaving more food then we ate. It was a pure waste of money and food. My whole family was disappointed. We could have gotten much more food, that was way better, at the other place we liked and really wished we had gone there instead. I don't know exactly what the spice was that was used but it really was way too strong... and just wrong for true Persian food. My wife's family is Persian, she is obviously Persian, I have eaten at a lot of Persian places, we have had many home made Persian meals and never have I ever had kabob that tasted like this. We won't be going back...

Came here for a late night meal and to enjoy the rooftop. The place was pretty empty when we came but they still had a belly dancer to enter the few people there. We tried the pita bread and one of the chicken dishes. Everything was great and we enjoyed being able to experience this place without a huge crowd. This spot is definitely a hidden gem

Nara is a chic Middle Eastern restaurant in Johns Creek that offers indoor and rooftop seating. We had reservations for the rooftop, which was very nice, but way too windy. We ultimately decided to dine inside and it was a classy and romantic ambiance. A lot of couples were enjoying their date night. I had the Milli Kew cocktail and it was weak in all honesty. The waitress brought out a complimentary bread tray with walnuts, goat cheese, olives, and tomatoes. Very tasty and authentic. For our main entree, I had the lamb kabob with barberry rice and my friend had the koobideh kabob with spicy cauliflower. The dishes were delicious and beautifully presented but the grilled vegetables were lackluster. We ended our dinner with a delicious baklava cheesecake and it was sweet and savory. Everyone was super sweet and accommodating from the hostess to the waitress. Excellent service.

This may be our new favorite middle eastern restaurant in the area. It was super easy to get reservations on a Sunday. The decor of the place is beautiful on the main level. We didn't venture upstairs to the patio since we had our baby with us but even on chilly nights they had the outdoor heaters going. They typically have a few wine bottle selections that are 25% off. We ended up picking the Quilt Cabernet which was pretty good. Love their free starter. The feta/goat cheese was really fresh. Just want them to add some walnuts to the platter and it would be great. We ended up ordering the mirza ghasemi for our started. The eggplant was seasoned and cooked well and we liked the creamy topping they had. Based on our server's recommendation, I choose the chicken koobideh which was 2 skewers of very flavorful chicken and your choice side of rice, salad, or cauliflower. I opted for the red lentil rice. It also comes with this pita and a yummy red topping. You get to pick your sauces with your entree and I highly recommend getting the red and green hot sauces. It complimented our meals perfectly. I wasn't a huge fan of the garlic sauce. Hubby got the Nara Special which allows you to get 2 skewers of your choice. He went with chicken and beef and he enjoyed his meal as well. He went with the house rice as his side and liked it. The food, service, and ambiance were great. We can't wait to go back!

First time coming to Nara and the overall food, service, and atmosphere were all amazing! To start off, making the reservation was very seamless and we were able to update our reservation 2 days before. After we ordered, complimentary bread came out and this had to have been some of the best bread we ever had. We ordered a side of hummus and requested 2 extra orders of bread to finish all of it! We also ordered a side of falafel that came with a nice dipping sauce. Our waitress also helped recommend entrees and drinks while bringing out the appetizers. Our party got 5 drinks in total and they were all on the stronger side. The entrees took a while to get out despite the restaurant not being very busy. Unfortunately when we came they were all out of shawarma, so the majority of us settled with a beef kebob or nara grill with beef. Both were quite tender, large in portion size, and extremely flavorful & well seasoned. To finish the night, we received a complimentary dessert for our friends birthday!

Came here for a date night. Getting here early, and leaving early was the main goal as that week that I went it was Thanksgiving week. When we went, it was pretty dead around 6 PM. We placed reservations for tables, but after we got there it wasn't really needed as there were plenty of tables. I would say if you do come later with a bigger party that it would probably be a smart idea to do that. We started with appetizers and also a drink. For starters, we shared the kibbeh, hummus, and the koobideh crustini. For drink, I got their Picture of Nectar. This drink was sort of like their version of a manhattan if ytou're trying to Following the apps and for the entree, I ordered the lamb shank. All of the appetizers weren't bad. But I do have to say, that if you're not a lover of onions, this is a hard cuisine to get into. Almost all dishes have onions, and mass amounts of it. I enjoyed the kibbeh and the crustini, the hummus was great as well and definitely should be an order if you're not a lover of onions. For the mains, my lamb shank was pretty great. I also got the saffron rice, which I thought was different. Lightly flavored by that saffron, and the long grain rice that you always see for Mediterranean food. The lamb shank slid off the bone which was great. Overall, Nara is a pretty solid choice if you're looking for Mediterranean food. Note that the interior decoration is pretty top notch. I found myself fiddling with the table light.

Worth Every Mile!…read more Before heading out of town for my family reunion, I came into Atlanta to see one of my girlfriends. I told her to find us a place where we could enjoy some good food and drinks. She picked **Fade & Facet** in Duluth, and although it was about a 40minute drive from Austell, let me tell you it was absolutely worth every mile. When we arrived, it was raining a little, but parking was easy since it's located in a strip mall. The outside is beautifully lit with neon signs, flowers, and plenty of photo worthy spots. I'm actually upset we got so caught up talking, eating, and enjoying ourselves that we forgot to take pictures! That just means I'll have to come back. As soon as you walk in, the vibe hits you. Great music, beautiful décor, a lively bar, and several seating areas including a private room where you can reserve space for hookah stick drinks... gathering. If you're looking for a girls' night, date night, double date, birthday celebration, or just a fun evening out, this is definitely the place. Wear something cute for the Photo ops We went on a Thursday evening, and I highly recommend it if you want to enjoy the atmosphere without the huge Friday and Saturday crowds. There was one birthday party there, but it didn't take away from our experience at all. Now let's talk about the service... **Jayda** was amazing, and **Lindsay **our bartender/Manager was everything you want behind a bar. She created one of the best drinks I've had in a long time the **Los Paradise**, made with tequila, mango, and lychee! It was beautiful, creative, smooth, and absolutely delicious. Every drink recommendation she gave us was spot on. She also made the experience personal because she sat down at Eye Level and talked to us and took our order. She was veryAnd just awesome There's a little disc on your table so pay attention to it because this is where you scan one side to get the menu and you can scan the other side to do a Google review. Do not ask for a menu it is right there on that disc.  What impressed me most was how the staff worked together. Whenever Lindsay got busy, Jayda checked on us without missing a beat. That's true teamwork. I also noticed a gentleman walking around who just gave off "owner" energy. Sure enough, he was! I had the chance to chat with him and hear the story behind Fade & Facet. He checked on guests throughout the evening, making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. You don't see that level of hospitality everywhere anymore. We ordered: * **Seafood Island Spring Rolls**  crispy rolls stuffed with salmon, crab, shrimp, peppers, onions, and pepper jack cheese. Absolutely delicious. It came with some red cabbage, and I actually wrapped the red cabbage around the spring roll and dip it in the sauce and man. It was so good!!! * **Grilled Lamb Chops** perfectly seasoned and served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and their sweet-savory plum sauce. Which took it over the top my girlfriend said while we were Order oh, I don't want them. Oh I don't eat lamb and she actually had my lamb and took one of my chops so annoyed you only get three they were tender too!  * **Oxtails**  rasta pasta tender, flavorful, and served with coconut rice and plantains. Comfort food done right. My girlfriend ordered lobster, but it missed but Linsay apologized immediately and fixed it without hesitation. That's what great customer service looks like. One thing I really appreciated was that they close at 11 p.m. on Thursdays, yet no one rushed us out. We were allowed to finish our food, enjoy our drinks, relax, and continue our conversation. That level of hospitality made the night even better. I also love supporting Black owned businesses, especially one that's been around and continues to provide such a quality experience. Between the amazing food, creative cocktails, attentive staff, music, décor, and all the Instagram/ tik tok worthy photo spots including the iconic Fade & Facet wall this place exceeded every expectation I didn't have. I thought I was gonna come here when I saw the videos on tik tok and just get Photo ops, but that's not what happened If you're in Atlanta or even if you're 30 to 40 minutes away make the drive. Grab your friends, your significant other, or your family and make an evening of it. You won't regret it. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Atlanta. And if you go tell them Dee from Philly sent you!

I'm not sure how much it was but the shrimp were big. Drinks: cute but No alcohol at all. Literally tasted like juice. I forgot which drinks we had but the drinks had candy in it. Very fruity. The drinks were $13. We also ordered shots of Don which were $13 a shot as well. Hookah: we had a hookah that cost between $30-$40. I'm guessing it was the cheaper one since they have other options that cost more. They allow you to mix three flavors which was great. However, ours was really weak. We didn't even finish it. Maybe the higher options were stronger. Now on to the service. Let me be very clear...The 2 stars is only because the location is new and hadn't had time to figure things out yet. If it wasn't for that, I would give it a 1 start based on service alone. Our server was nice and attentive the whole night but the issue came towards. Once we were ready to leave, we asked for our checks. My friend and I asked her to split the hookah between the two of us since we were the only two smoking hookah. She said ok. When it was time to pay, she said she was going to cash out our food and drink ordered then the hookah. We didn't think anything of it so we said ok. Cashing out with the food and drinks, we were not told that they add an automatic 15% gratuity and it did not show on the screen when she showed us our total so I added an extra 20% tip. Same for my friend and her tab. THEN, she goes to split the hookah between the two of us on separate tab, which also added another 15% gratuity each tab!!! No ma'am. She tried it! She tried to get four (4) 15% gratuity tips and 2 additional tips since we were unaware the first time we added additional gratuity. We asked her why we were being charged more gratuity when we already paid and paid extra? She said gratuity is added on every bill, even if it's 1 item. I asked if that was the case, why didn't she just add the hookah on our drink and food bill then? She said it had to be rung up separately. My friend asked to speak to the manager and after some professional back and forth, the manager agreed to remove the 2 gratuities that would have been charged on the split hookah tab. Good customer service by the manager for removing the additional gratuity. Be mindful of your tab...15% gratuity is automatic and make sure if you have to split anything, split it on 1 tab. I'm not sure if the menu mentioned that gratuity was automatically added but the serves sure didn't. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind gratuity being added but at least be ethical and make the party aware. And definitely don't split tabs to get more.

I have been coming to Charcoal N Chill for over three years, including before the current…read moremanagement took over. Over that time, I've had many great experiences here and have recommended the place to numerous friends and family members. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left me disappointed. A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to attend a Friday evening event. I arrived as I normally would, only to discover there was a cover charge and a bouncer at the entrance. The cover charge itself was not the issue. What bothered me was how I was treated. During the interaction, the bouncer physically pushed me away from the entrance. I found that completely unnecessary and disrespectful. As a result, I asked to speak with the owner or someone from management because I did not feel comfortable discussing the situation with the bouncer, especially given how I had been treated. To my surprise, I was told that the owners had asked me to Zelle the cover charge. To be clear, I was never asking for a discount, exemption, or special treatment. I was simply trying to address the way I had been treated at the door and have a conversation with management. Over the years, I have spent a considerable amount of time and money at this establishment and have actively supported it by bringing many guests. I never expected preferential treatment because of that. What I do expect, however, is to be treated with basic respect and dignity. This review is not about the food, hookah, ambiance, or service inside the lounge, all of which I have genuinely enjoyed for years. It is about a customer experience and the choices made by management in handling that situation. A long-time customer who has consistently supported the business should not be made to feel dismissed or disrespected. I thought about this for more than ten days before posting because I genuinely enjoyed this place and did not want to leave a negative review. However, the experience stayed with me. Since then, I have stayed away despite having been a regular visitor. I sincerely hope management takes feedback like this seriously. Respect costs nothing, and it is often what customers remember most.

This place is honestly one of me and my friends favorite spots to go to. The food is always good,…read morethe service is great, and the place is super clean every time we go. The staff and owners are really welcoming and make you feel comfortable the second you walk in. The vibe is what really makes it special though. Good music, good people, and they actually try to make sure everyone is having a good time. They'll even accommodate the music and play songs you like which makes it feel more personal and fun. Also not gonna lie, I really think they have one of the best DJs in town. The music and entertainment are always on point without it feeling too loud or chaotic. It's the perfect little neighborhood spot to chill with friends, have drinks, eat, and just enjoy yourself. Definitely one of those tucked away gems in a plaza that you end up going back to over and over again.
