Ambiance was nice with dim lighting and good R&B soul music playing. No live DJ on a Thursday night. Only 3 other parties were there so the place was pretty empty. Host was very prompt and polite. We were seated right away. Service was great. Food arrived fast after we ordered. Flavor of the food was very good. Only downside was that there were no condiments on the table (salt/pepper, hot sauce, ketchup, etc.) so I asked for hot sauce and they charge an additional $2 for a small cup. I would go back again for food and try some hookah.

For a Wednesday night, I didn't expect much. It's been open a year. Stopped in on a whim for a drink & a bite. The ambiance of the place is nice. TVs had sports (no audio) & music was jammin. There were only 1 other couple inside when we arrived. They have deals almost every day on either drinks or food. FOOD: Ordered the mozzarella sticks & catfish entree. The mozzarella sticks were flavorful. The catfish dish came topped with arugula & had 6 hushpuppies. The catfish was fresh & the arugula made it a delicious bite. I would have liked a little bit more of arugula to have with each bite of my fish but not a deal breaker. The hushpuppies were very good. They had bits of corn & came with sauce but didn't need it at all. Overall, I enjoyed both items ordered. Drinks were ok. Mine was slightly overpowered with lime, but it was good overall. This place would pop if more people were there. I noticed there's a 15% gratuity for parties over 4 & checks over $100. This place is located in a pocket & it's not easily seen from the street. I'm willing to try this place out again.

Sapphire is a stylish spot inside a shopping mall with plenty of parking. The service was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, from the fried chicken in a waffle cone to the shrimp and grits. Hookah is only $20 during brunch which is the best price near the city. Great vibes, great flavors, and a place I'll be returning to.

I'll start with the good and say the DJ was great and the food is good once you get your order and once they correct it. I can't say if it was our server or the kitchen that messed up, but I will say the way the entire staff and owner handled the situation could have been better, and we should have known we were in for an afternoon of disappointing customer service. Our group of 4 placed orders pretty quickly; however, the 4th person didn't get their food until the rest of us were almost finished. We wanted to wait to start eating until she got her food since the waiter kept telling us it was coming right out, but after 15 minutes of no food and the same run around, we decided to eat our meals, and our friend boxed hers to go. Only after being asked about the delay was the server finally honest about the kitchen forgetting the meal. Not so much as an apology for the inconvenience. After boxing the food to go, we asked for our checks. Again, the server completely forgot about us, and we had to flag the owner down to ask for our check. He didn't actually come over when we waived him down because he was too busy smoking hookah and drinking Belaire, but he grabbed the server for us. When the check came we were not shocked by the automatic gratuity which was displayed on the menu before placing our orders, but we were surprised by an additional "Fee" with no description. When asked about the random fee, the owner informed us that they charge 3% of the total to use a card but if we wanted to pay in cash they'd take it off. They do not disclose this fee anywhere, not even on the receipt, and had we paid in cash and not asked about the fee, I highly doubt they would have taken it off. When advised that the law requires them to tell people about any ACH processing fee ahead of time so that we the consumers can decide if we'd rather get cash or use a card, he was rude, claimed that he wasn't the owner (even though his staff confirmed he was), and that there's nothing he can do to remove the fee. In an age where automatic gratuity is included for subpar service, "suggestions" for additional tip on top of included gratuity, forgotten orders, and rude owners who lie and refuse to comply with the law (even when the law is as simple as adding a sign)...this is not a place I'd recommend anyone spend their hard-earned money. I will be reporting any illegal practices to the appropriate governmental agencies for investigation.

Went to Sapphire for a date night on a Friday and really enjoyed ourselves. We made a reservation but it wasn't really needed. It gives lounge atmosphere, DJ came about 9p and played a great mix of new and old music, the food was pretty good, they have a full bar with wine and they offer Hookah for $40 (menu online). The service was good, our hostess Morgan was mad cool and super dope. It wasn't very busy but she was very attentive. The food came out really quick, the lamb chops and the salmon were very good. There were a couple bdays going on and Halloween decorations were still up but the space is medium sized with tables and booths. I'd definitely go back, it was a vibe.

Wanted to try something new. Sapphire was a great chill spot. It wasn't super busy and the music had us vibing. We sat quickly and our sever helped quick too. Everything was pretty fast. Drinks and appetizers were out in under 10 minutes. And our food came shortly after. Egg rolls and Mozzarella Sticks I got the salmon , broccoli and veggies. Salmon , broccoli and peppers could've been cooked slightly longer. But the food wasn't bad. Lemon Drop Martini $5 first round of shots was great too. I'll definitely be back to try Brunch. But it was overall a great place to try.

Visited this establishment last wknd for my mom's birthday brunch and we had a wonderful time . It started out with the reservation process , extremely smooth and found out that the owner is a fellow New Yorker, which is always a plus !! We were taken care by a great server , I believe her name was Lee . She was welcoming and very attentive to every need. The lamb chops were a hit at the table and the mimosa tower definitely was the highlight . My mom requested music for wherever we were going to celebrate her and the DJ was on point . His selections had us moving in our seats !!! Thank you Sapphire !!

The vibe was nice! I went on a Friday night to celebrate my birthday and the service was pretty good! They took care good care of us. The wings were perfectly crispy & my drink was so pretty and pink, and tasted delicious! I would definitely go back, the vibes were really good there and the DJ was cool! It was easy to go online and make a reservation, and even though we were a few minutes late, he still worked with me because it was my birthday! So I will be back!

This place just opened 3 months ago and hopefully it picks up. Food and ambiance was nice. It would really make a great place for a party with friends or just hang out at a lounge. Food is a bit pricey but it's expected.

I went for my birthday. The management was sooo friendly and accommodating. The staff and bartender were friendly! The atmosphere is very inviting! It was very clean! But I want to rave and rant on the bartender!! She was very attentive and she made sure I was okay from the time I sat down to the time I left. In Atlanta and surrounding areas that is rare to find someone like her! I definitely recommend Sapphire every chance I get. 10/10 I will be back again! It is a comfortable atmosphere! They treat you well! The food and drinks!! Lawd I had dreams bout them lamb chops!!! Seasoned to my perfection melted in my mouth! (Mouth watering as I type this)!!

We found this place on line and we were very pleased. The service was great and so was the food. The DJ was great and it wasn't too crowded. The food was a little pricey and the hookah. The hookah was smooth one do the best I've had.

He was rude, ignorant, and a straight-up coward for the way he spoke to a group of women. Puffing his chest out, cursing at us like he wanted to fight--completely out of line. It would have been a whole different vibe if men had been with us. Let me be clear: this is 100% about security, not the establishment. I actually enjoyed the place. We were there for my daughter's birthday, had a great time, and our waitress was top-notch--super sweet. We paid for a section, which came with a bottle of wine, and were told we could take it if we didn't finish it. At the end of the night, my daughter walked out with the unopened bottle. It wasn't bagged. This security guard lost his mind--cursing at her and at me, telling us to "get the fuck out" and "don't come back." I tried to explain no one gave us a bag, but he didn't listen and didn't care. I have never felt so threatened over something so small. He completely ruined what had been a great night. I did call afterward, and someone was very apologetic and said they would handle it. I hope they actually review the footage, because his behavior toward a group of non-aggressive women was rude, aggressive, and unacceptable. We were honestly just confused by the whole situation. Yes, I understand the rules about taking alcohol out, but it wasn't bagged and we had been drinking--maybe we should have asked, but still, that didn't justify his behavior. I don't blame the waitress much; she had a lot going on and probably forgot. The villain of the night was that one stupid-ass security guard. His delivery was everything. All he had to do was calmly tell my daughter to go back in and get a bag. Instead, he chose to curse and threaten us. What a poor excuse for a black man. I liked the establishment, but I won't spend money somewhere that hires people like that. To that security guard: talk to your mom, your sisters, or any woman in your life--because you clearly don't know how to respect women. You're a coward, and you wouldn't talk to me

Every time the music comes I have to shout to talk to the person sitting next to me. Side note, if your bar tender asks if you want a double, asks the price before saying yes. My girlfriend made this mistake and we ended up paying $75 for three Tito's and tonic.

When we entered, there was no cover charge. The front area seemed to be dining only, so we walked to the back bar for drinks and hookah. The drink and hookah menu had no prices; two drinks in plastic cups and a hookah was $92, which included automatic gratuity. Hookah was just okay; didn't really taste the flavor. We closed our tab and moved from the bar seating to the lounge seating along the wall. We requested a server for food and waited awhile. The wait time for food was ridiculous for it to come back inedible. The calamari was fried hard, so we sent it back and got a smaller amount with minor improvement. My fries were limp and cold, so didn't eat those either. Despite a mixed crowd, in terms of age, the music was all 90s hip hop and R&B, even older. The DJ played no dance music or anything current. My friend stepped out because she saw other people smoking and it wasn't hookah if you know what I mean...and they attempted to charge her $10 for entrance (I wouldn't pay $1 to get in there). So, later arrival means cover charge. Unh uhn, get somebody else to go!

A nice Korean sing room 노래방 in Duluth with lots of pretty faces. Pretty good service and tasty food…read morewith cold drinks. We enjoyed the ambiance and company with two bottles of whiskey. 짠!

I believe the cons outweighed the pros during our visit to Luxor, a unique noraebang (Korean…read morekaraoke establishment) in Duluth. Three stars is still okay, but I wouldn't consider myself a fan of this joint just yet. I called and made a reservation for 20 people on a Saturday night at 10pm. I was told over the phone that our group would get the biggest room in the house. When we arrived, on time, this was not the case. I think we got maybe the 2nd or 3rd largest room in the place. We got Room #6 which is a rectangular-shaped room with a long table running down the middle and an open, U-shaped couch lining three of the walls. This couch could seat 16 people max and we were all sitting rather snug. When all of our group was there, this meant that some people had to stand. Fail. It was already a bit uncomfortable for the 16 of us who were seated just to get up and move around, pass the mic and song book, order/grab drinks and food, etc. Due to our large group size, we were told there was a two-bottle minimum for the room. Bottles start at $100 per. We ordered Johnnie Walker ($100) and Grey Goose ($120). These two bottles got us 4 hours of karaoke. After tax and automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill, our total was about $300 for the room. For 20 people, this works out to only $15 per person, so it's actually a very good deal. (We were actually a few short of 20, so our per person total was higher.) Those two bottles weren't enough for our group, so we ordered an extra bottle (Crown Royal, $120). Someone in our group already paid for this bottle in advance, separately as soon as he ordered it. At the end, when it came time to pay the bill for the entire room, I was presented with a ticket with all 3 bottles on it. We almost got double-charged for the bottle of Crown! If we didn't question the staff about the extraneous line item, we would have paid an extra $120+ for nothing. After bringing this mistake to the staff's attention, they seemed apologetic. I just don't know for sure if it was an honest mistake or not. Apart from the small room size and billing discrepancy, some other things I did not like about Luxor were: (1) song selection access and (2) smoke. Actually, smoky environments don't bother me *that* much, but I thought it would be worth noting. Like Ai Tunes, Sound of Music, and other NRBs, Luxor has a restaurant/lounge/bar-type area outside the karaoke rooms where people can order food, drinks, and just hang out. It's smoky in this area, so be forewarned. I think Luxor actually has a good song selection, but accessing all these songs is a pain For example, I noticed they had Adele's Skyfall theme song in their database on the same weekend the Skyfall movie premiered. That's pretty impressive. Unfortunately, the song book only had a mere fraction of the songs that were actually in the system. Not only that, but there was only one remote for the entire room (and it was written in Korean) so it was bothersome to hand off the remote due to the aforementioned spacing issues, plus we had to keep asking our Korean friends to help operate the remote for us. All these issues aside, Luxor does have some great things going for it. While this place is super Korean and caters mainly to young Korean clientele, the staff are also young and Korean and thus, typically speak and understand English well. Everyone seemed friendly and attentive and service to our room was generally good. Each bottle of alcohol ordered came with regular glasses, shot glasses, mixers (Coca-Cola and cranberry juice), and platefuls of fruit and snacks. The fruit plate was beautifully presented and included pineapple, watermelon, grapes, oranges, kiwi, and strawberry. The snack plate had peanuts, seaweed, cuttlefish (win), banana chips, and a couple other extras. All of that was very nice and among the best snacks I've seen at any Atlanta-area KTV. The theme of this place is awesome. It's like you're singing karaoke in an Egyptian pyramid complete with wall carvings and hieroglyphics. Yes, it sounds bizarre and that's because it is. Outside the door of each the rooms are colored lights. They blink and light up when people are inside singing. Inside, the rooms have plenty of fun, colorful lighting from lasers to strobes to rotating, light-up disco balls. Our room had one big TV at one end and two smaller TVs in the corners of the opposite end. In general, the setup was nice -- we just had too many people for the room. The sound and video quality were good. One fellow Yelper described Luxor as it being "the Clermont of karaoke joints." I wouldn't go so far as to say that. The actual build-out is nice, but I did notice an exceptional number of drunk people here. There was vomit on the floors of both the men's and women's restrooms. Apparently, this is the karaoke joint to come to if you want to get wasted. As my friend CJ told me, Luxor is more of a place to drink rather than to karaoke.
