The service manager there is the definition of the word "empty". Second time of coming in to fix my car in a year and both times he is just plain nasty. Rude, talks over you, shows zero care for customer service or empathy. Told me it's "not my problem" my wife is pregnant when I told him I needed a replacement car because she needs the computer system for her car to drive that I waited 7 months for. My 70 year old mother was there too, and when she tried to speak he stuck his finger into her chest and said "well first off" very very rude to where I had to stand in between my mother and him to give space. Laughed when I asked for a replacement. Laughed when I told him I defended my 70 year old mother. He needs to be fired and replaced.

Other than the Tesla process, this was easily one of the smoothest, most seamless experiences I've had. After hitting 4 or 5 other dealerships, I finally landed here in St. Pete, and it was just different. No pressure, no games, no shady stuff, just straightforward and respectful. I traded in my Tacoma and bought a low-mileage Tundra, and from start to finish it was just easy. Huge shoutout to Sam J. He was awesome. He clearly loves what he does, and he was just as excited about the truck as I was, which made it fun, not stressful. He never once pushed me. And honestly, the finance side was a breath of fresh air. That's usually where I brace myself, but the finance manager was professional, clear, and respectful. No pressure, no fast talking, and everything was explained cleanly, which truly exceeded my expectations. Big purchase, big decision, and this team made it feel simple and solid. If you're looking for a new or used car, I'd definitely recommend stopping in. Ask for Sam J. You'll be glad you did.

They are a family owned and run operation that seems to pay attention to what matters to the customers and their staff go above and beyond to get the job done. This last purchase my previous sales representative Amy Walker (she was great our 2nd last purchase) wasn't in so we were pleasantly greeted with Devin Wilder's welcoming offer for assistance as we walked in the front doors. Devin, an associate with about 5 years of tenure from my recollection was great in product knowledge while maintaining a very positive "can-do" attitude throughout the purchase process in a comfortable and low-key manner that was simply enjoyable and stress free. Other administrative support staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant throughout the entire transaction. We had originally stopped to see a specific CPO used vehicle which had unfortunately for us just been sold and he offered us other options on a similar new and in-stock vehicle to which we happily agreed! The whole process from start to finish was as good as it gets in my opinion and we will be sure to visit Suncoast for our next vehicle sometime in the future. If you want a friendly, knowledgeable and relaxed, comfortable experience, see; Devin Wilder

I purchased a used vehicle a month ago from this dealership, which I'm beginning to regret. I…read moreunderstood that I was purchasing it with the various obviously visible dings, scratches & chips in the paint & windshield & the fact that the cup holder cover was missing. I also noticed certain other issues such as the steering being a bit rough during the test drive & upon the salesman showing me the view of the trunk & the location & shape of the spare tire, that the latch was not working at all & had to be replaced, which was taken care of on their end. None of those issues were considered "deal breakers". However, upon cash purchase & taking the vehicle home I very quickly noticed that the rear driver's side window was completely inoperable, which was never divulged to me either via the vehicle's Carfax report or verbally by any of the staff & which is obviously an issue of not only ethics but more importantly of safety. Since the ink was not yet dry on the purchase contract & the vehicle was still literally sporting the temp dealer issued tag that I had just left the dealer lot with, I immediately made several unreturned phone calls to the service department, leaving messages on their voice mail. When I finally received a return phone call days later, it was conveniently after business hours had closed for the day AND the week. I finally decided to just drive directly to the service department & handle it face to face instead of over the phone. That also proved to be a complete waste of time since they told me that it would cost over $430 to replace the window motor on a vehicle they were well aware needed replacing prior to my purchasing it & conveniently chose to withhold from me. Of course, I declined to fork over that ludicrous amount of money for a problem that should have been addressed in the same manner as the trunk latch. Again this is an issue of lack of ethics, in addition to being a safety hazard. From what I understand I am entitled to four free oil changes at this dealership, but I am considering biting the bullet & paying out of pocket in order for a more reputable establishment to handle my future vehicle service issues since I don't trust this crew one iota. My wife & I are also leaning towards dropping the Better Business Bureau & Pinellas County Consumer Protection a line about the unethical conduct perpetrated at Suncoast Chrysler Jeep Dodge Dealership. I strongly recommend for folks to avoid making any purchases or doing any business with an operation like this.

A young single mother, raising a son with muscular dystrophy, reportedly spent $10,000 on a vehicle that became inoperable within just two weeks. When she returned seeking assistance, she was allegedly told she would need to pay an additional $4,000 for another vehicle rather than receiving meaningful support or accountability. This story, now circulating on TikTok, raises serious questions about ethical business practices and the treatment of vulnerable consumers. Businesses that serve the public have a responsibility to operate with transparency, fairness, and integrity--especially when dealing with families already facing significant challenges. Rather than responding with hostility, the community should focus on lawful and constructive action: documenting complaints, reporting concerns to consumer protection agencies, organizing peaceful demonstrations if appropriate, and encouraging public awareness so others can make informed decisions. Accountability is essential in maintaining trust within any community.

Buyer Beware I…read morepurchased a vehicle from AUTO BY TOM INC, and the car broke down immediately as I was leaving the dealership. I returned it the very same day and formally requested a full cancellation of the contract. The vehicle has remained at the dealership since that day -- I do not have possession of it. Rather than resolving the issue fairly, I was informed that the contract would only be canceled if I paid $3,500. I do not have this money, and I do not believe I should be required to pay thousands of dollars to cancel a deal on a vehicle that failed immediately and was returned the same day. I contacted the financing company and was told that only the dealership has the authority to cancel the contract. I have made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this matter amicably, but I have consistently been told that cancellation will only occur if I make this payment. This situation has caused me severe stress and emotional distress. I am currently seeking psychological support due to the impact this experience has had on me. Additionally, I am deeply concerned about potential damage to my credit score -- something I worked very hard to build honestly and responsibly. I expected professionalism, transparency, and integrity when purchasing a vehicle. Instead, I feel trapped in a situation that could seriously harm me both financially and emotionally. Based on my experience, I strongly advise anyone considering doing business here to proceed with extreme caution and protect themselves carefully.

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS PLACE, THE CARS ARE NOT RELIABLE…read more We bought a broken vehicle. He is not a trustworthy person. As soon as we left the store, the van broke down. The moment the vehicle malfunctioned, I immediately called him and informed him that I did not want to proceed with the purchase, as the vehicle was obviously defective. But the worst part was the lack of respect shown to me and my wife. He mocked my situation, treating us with extreme disrespect and lack of empathy. I have a record of everything that happened with photos, videos, and text messages. My wife and I are having many problems because of this; it is not a trustworthy store and this person is not trustworthy. I do not recommend doing business with this individual. I would very much like to say what I think, but I will not let my emotions control me. I just want to forget the terrible experience I had at that store and I deeply regret ever meeting this person. I contacted the bank to cancel the contract, and they informed us that only the seller could undo the contract. I contacted him, "Tom," to terminate the contract, and he mocked me, saying I could sue him and the store, speaking sarcastically and making fun of my situation. In another attempt to terminate the contract, he asked for $3,500 to cancel it, which makes no sense. Why would I pay that amount? The vehicle broke down 10 minutes after leaving the dealership. Another important point. At the time of purchase, he assured us that he had taken out car insurance, but later discovered that he hadn't, which is absurd because we could have had problems with traffic laws considering that insurance is mandatory in the state of Florida. He lied, saying he had insurance, but he hadn't. We left the place without the mandatory insurance. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. This individual treated us with complete disrespect. From the first moment we had problems, he was sarcastic. He's saying the financing can't be terminated, but it can. I contacted the bank, informed them of what happened, and they told us that only the seller can cancel the contract. I contacted the seller to try to terminate the contract, and he, being very sarcastic and disrespectful as always, charged me $3,500 to break the contract, which is illegal. I informed the bank of this incident, that he charged me $3,500 to terminate the contract, and the bank told us he shouldn't have charged that amount. Not to mention that he also charged us for the towing, which is another absurdity because the car broke down when we left the store. It's important to make it clear that everything I'm saying is documented with photos, videos, and text messages. It's not safe to buy a car from this place; if you value your money, don't do business with this individual.
