After reading several of the previous posts, I am not surprised with my experience last night at this bar. I too was physically assaulted by the staff after only being in the establishment for approximately 20 minutes. My 56 year old father who just had knee surgery was thrown to the ground, breaking his foot to the point it may require surgery. I too was struck in the face. Police were called but the owner and police supervisor shared several laughs before we were told there was nothing to be done. Aside from the danger of being assaulted by the staff, very seedy crowd with an outrageous cover and poor bar tending staff. I would recommend The Marlin or Hudson house, I've been coming to the island for 20 years and have never had anything but fantastic experiences there! read more

I really never thought I would even like a place Nardi's - kind of thought the pink bus was a little ridiculous but it's actually pretty awesome. For those of you who don't know, the bus will pick you up pretty much anywhere on the island after 9pm and then drop you off that night, too. Obviously, they are trying to get you in the door but they also make it an incredibly safe way to travel if you are planning on going out and having a few cold ones. During a week in LBI, my wife and I stopped in here a few times. It's a nice place - relatively new and everything is clean. They actually have very good happy hour specials - $2.50 for domestic light drafts. I believe happy hour only goes from 3-5, though. Some of the bartenders are better than others, but that's pretty much the case at any place. Never tried the food here but there were always people eating when we went and they have live entertainment. I actually do like Nardi's and I wouldn't hesitate to pop in here for a beer when I am back in LBI. read more

I have been a long time visitor of Nardis. It is the place to be in the summer. Great staff. Bartenders make good drinks and they are affordable, especially for the Island. Food is fantastic, pizza is great! Bands are always good and in between sets have DJ. So there is a mix of music, something for everyone. Being able to take the bus up and down the island is another awesome feature. The bouncers are great friendly and definitely doing there jobs. They double check ids, and don't take any disrespectful, distasteful, aggressive attitudes towards the staff or towards other customers. They want everyone to have fun and a good time without drama!! So if you are out looking for a good time and want a laid back fun night this is the place. There is a reason its the hot spot in the summer and the place locals go to all year long!! read more

"Twice now, Nardi's bouncers tried to rip us off - they are a bunch of THIEVES!!" I have been going to Nardi's for 25 years or so, and after a few years of not being on LBI, two years ago I told my daughter and friend to go. The bouncer took my daughter's friend's license from her, saying it was fake, which is was not. I called them ASAP and the bouncer told me to have her meet him around the corner and he could give it back to her. I drove her there, she got out to meet him, and he said he would give it back to her for $80. The next day, I called the manager and the police and no one did a thing. She had to pay to replace her license and we were upset. Fast forward to tonight. We decided to go in and try it again: my husband, daughter and I. We were all ID'd, and the girl at the door then took $5 cover charge from the young lady in front of us. One of the bouncers went up to the girl collecting the cover and whispered in her ear. My husband said' "How much," and she said $15. He said OK and handed her $15 for the 3 of us, and she said, "Each." He was like, "What????" The girl in front of me paid $5. I said, "This is absurd," and we left as she smirked at us. We called them from the car and asked the cover and were told, "5 to 10 dollars." Ha!!! I don't know if they charged us more to keep the old folks out, or to just put money in their pockets, but we will NEVER go there again. They must give their staff a test: are you a thief? If they say Yes, they are told, "You're hired!!!! Now go steal from the tourists." Shame on you, Nardis. You don't deserve success. read more

We felt really welcome here, I have to say. You have to love a place that has great service I appreciated the party bus coming and picking us up. The cover charge was $10, not too bad. The bar itself was nice, air conditioned, mixed crowd. The dance floor is small, but sufficient. They do carry-out here, so they have a great selection of bottles - I like drinking Bud Light Lime at a bar. The bartender was really friendly. His name was Mike. Although Mike was busy, he was very attentive and asked us where we were from, etc. The band we saw was called Animal House, they were a decent cover band. We waited a few minutes for the bus, and then were safely home before I knew it, thanks to the friendly driver Lou! Dont forget to tip your driver! We will definitely be back! read more

OK, its a beach bar with a pink drunk bus. This place has an incredibly eclectic crowd, and like most of the other reviews state, 30's-60 with a handful of underage drinkers. The food is actually pretty good, but if you're plannng on eating, go well before the bands come on. Elvis cocktails is a riot and Sinatra night is great if you're over 70. Thursday to Sunday nights its a $10 cover which is nuts, but its still probably worth it to crowd watch. This place gets packed, everyone is friendly, and I swear its a swingers hangout (I've had some odd propositions) but its still a must stop on the LBI visit. Ordered a drink on a Friday night at the bar and was "accidentally" given the wrong amount of change back. Gave the bartender a $50 and she gave me change back for a $20 hoping I was too drunk to notice. I asked her where the rest of my change was and she said I gave her and 20 and I told her that I gave her a 50 and without questioning it she went back and got the rest of my change. I find it odd that she didn't even question it after I called her out. This place def tries to take advantage of drunk people so be careful and count your change!!! read more

Very upset with the way management let's their employees run this place. So disrespectful to customers and can't appreciate an establishment where employees use explicit language to paying customers. Great food great prices. I had fried calamari and a cheese burger. Food was very good. noise level was quite loud on the lower seating level with high booths. Upper level was regular table seating. They provide a bus/taxi for pickup and drop-off in case patrons want to drink alcohol while dining. read more

This place has really taken a turn for the worse. Always had good service during peak season but then again we always went on pasta and Sinatra night so no real waitress service was needed. Been in twice during off season and couldn't be more disappointed. Tonight we were four of eight customers in the entire place. The food took forever and when it came one order was burnt and another was incorrect. When I pointed it out to the waitress she said sorry and proceeded to do nothing about it. When she brought the bill nothing was adjusted so I asked for something to be done. The bill came back with the same errors and only a few dollars off. The waitress was clueless!! It wasn't until a barmaid got involved that things got resolved. Second really bad experience in a row. Lots of other choices on the island. read more

My friend's birthday was last night and she wanted to go to nardi's. She called for the bus and they said it would take 10 minutes in which we walked to the spot where they said they would pick us up. We waited 30 minutes and then called to see where the bus was when they said we missed but there was no possible way we could have. They said they would send another bus in which we waited an additional 30 minutes FOR NO BUS. awfullllll. For years this has been a home away from my home down here. Open at 7am, close at 2. Varied crowd depending on time of day, bartenders remember you though. Covers are kinda pricey. Can't beat Elvis & Frankie though. Dude who says he brings 50 people every Sunday? You're bullshit. 50 people will barely fit at happy hour. read more

Went with my friend 2 years ago when I was 24 and the bouncer didn't want to let me in because my license says my eyes are brown but they're hazel and noticeably much more green in the summer. I explained to him that the dmv wouldn't put hazel on my ID so he let me in after I gave a second form of ID. HOWEVER, I forgive him because I went there again this past weekend for food and the sliders and sweet potato fries were BOMB. I'll try it again at night sometime this summer. read more

love Nardi's!! usually go here during offseason as it is way less crowded and more relaxed (although it does have really fun night life). great drinks and great food, especially for lunch and dinner. the best are the meatball sliders, seriously so good! excellent and friendly staff, i've only ever had great experiences here. definitely recommend visiting Nardi's if you haven't done so already! read more

My family has been going down to Long Beach Island for at least a decade now. We waited until everyone in our family was 21 so we could all go together. Our ages range from 21 to 60 years old. We picked a night that a band was playing. Called Nardi's up at 9:00pm about the bus. We were picked up fifteen minutes later. Got to the bar.. the band was great, the appetizers were ordered were great too. Lots of people packed into that place and many different characters. Overall all of us had an amazing time and we took the bus back home at closing. I even went there on New Year's Eve this past year and it was fantastic! They offered a nice package: $60 for open bar for four hours, music and unlimited pizza. read more

I live five or so blocks from Nardi's so naturally I have become a bit familiar with it. It's a great place for a fun night out, not a place for an afternoon lunch or evening dinner. The food is nothing to brag about, neither are the drinks. But, I don't think that's why everyone goes there. You go to Nardi's for the bands and that damned pink school bus. It's a fun place with lots of dancing and debauchery but don't expect much else. read more

We came here for some drinks and entertainment! The drinks are pretty small but they were great! The entertainment was great tonight; they've never had any bad bands. The fact that they have free transportation home anywhere on the island is awesome. This place is always a good time! I love the high energy and there is always a good crowd! Nardi's will undergoing a major renovation this winter (08-09). Expect a new and improved Nardis. Do not park on the side streets after dark or you will be towed... I saw that Nardi's now serve breakfast so my wife, grandson and I decided to stop by and give it a try. We sat there for 40 plus minutes and only thing we had were coffee and a chocolate milk waiting for our breakfast. They only had one waitress and probably one cook in the back. She had to handle about 10 tables plus the bar. We finally gave up, paid for our coffee and split along with another couple. My message to the owner, stop being a cheap bastard and hire some help and don't leave it to a below minimum staff. read more

Good beer selections but the food needs some serious upgrading. Our group of guys have been coming to Nardi's the past 5-6 years to eat and listen to an hour of Sinatra tunes. We have witnessed a noticeable drop off in food quality and, visited a week ago, it was virtually inedible. The place was just 20% full so no excuse that the kitchen was too busy. First review under 3 star that i gave on yelp in the past 2 years. Showed up for dinner on Thursday at 6:30. Told us that all they had was buffet. 16.99 for adults and 6.99 for kids. Really wanted to order off menu but told only had a buffet. Half hour after we eat, a party of ten comes in and another party of 5 and they are given menus to order from. Ask why we weren't allowed and told manager was afraid of loosing the business so let them order off menu. Asked to ave one of the kids buffet removed and they did and that saved them from a one rating. Still felt ripped off and taken advantage off. Buffet was sausage and peppers, rigatoni, pizza and salad on paper plates for 16.99. If thats your thing than this is the place for you. If not, just insist that they let you order off the menu and maybe you'll like that. read more

Came here with my girlfriend while on vacation. I don't drink but she does so we figured we would come here and hang out. Place seems nice there's a stage for a band and an area designated for the dance floor. There was a 10$ cover charge which is to be expected on a sturday. Beer was relatively cheap 5$ for a bottle. Staff seemed friendly and nice. Didn't order any food so I can't comment on how it tasted or looked. What I found interesting was that they sold beer within the bar. Separately in like 6 packs and such. Didn't mind it just thought it was an interesting concept. They had plenty of TV to watch the game and such and plenty of room to sit and tables to eat at if you order your food. I even like how they made you take our your id and make two people check it. This may seem annoying to some people but, I thought it showed that they are worried about anyone that shouldn't be there or drinking there and it shows that the business cares about their patrons and such. read more

Stay away, this place charges you a ten dollar cover on the weekends on top of the highest drink/spirit prices on LBI. The management is so concerned about getting every nickel and dime out of you, they don't even let service members or law enforcement in for free. This place can turn into a real sh*t show late night, but it's centrally located and easy to bike to from almost anywhere on the island. The bouncers sometimes get a little bit of a tude (sorry bro, not EVERYBODY can be a cool local like you.) The cover bands are usually decent, and the drinks aren't over priced. The bus is a little over hyped, just suck it up and pay for a cab if you are too lazy/drunk to bike over! read more

Got to LBI later in the evening and had a coworker with me who has never been to the Jersey shore. Saw this place was very crowded and I just knew the type of place would be. We went in and it was packed, lots of younger crowd plus older who tried looking and acting younger. The band was ok, was cool to hear them do 80s songs, but just to hear the actual song, not them try to do it. The beers were cheap enough, so we stayed an hour or so, then got tired of watching people and left. This place didn't leave any kind of memory of Jersey for him, and definitely not me. read more

This is one of the worst establishments on the island. The doorman was beyond rude to someone who was old enough to be his mother. Stopped in to this -very young and reckless- bar on a Friday night. I actually did not even get through the door. My two companions had gone before me (all middle aged moms..we should have been told it wasn't our age group) and after letting two of the party in( my assuming we paid for the party), I was stopped and then physically prevented from entering- stating that I didn't pay... when I tried to explain myself that I thought that indeed we were paid for, I was told to leave, and then the doorman- who was such a coward that he couldn't look me in the eye, promptly left his post to hide out until I was gone. My friends came out and when I explained what happened, they got a refund of their exorbitant cover charge and we all left. I would avoid this based on customer service alone... but judging by the looks of the clientele they are more interested in over serving young people, who really don't care about hospitality. read more

Arrived and was told that a larger party had a RESERVATIOAN, but if they didn't show in 15min we could have their table. Thought they didn't take them but said ok we'll wait. 15 min later they gave our table to someone else not even the original reservation holder, and were totally rude about it. Offered us a table way too small in a cramped little side room.. We never would have fit in.
