I love Trinity and i'm so glad they are back open! They have a lot of the previous staff, like Neal who really holds it down at the bar- they make a killer martini... can't wait to try the food on the new menu as it sure does smell good! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very similar vibe to the old Trinity- just a little 'revamped'- definitely worth checking out- great location![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been a long time fan of Trinity Brewhouse and was a little, well, nervous to try them out after all of the recent changes/ renovations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is so much brighter with lighter colored furniture options, it opens the space up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The new chairs seem a little less comfortable and less pub-y than before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was incredibly helpful, perky, and kind! We came late and so ordered off the smaller late night menu. We badly wished there were something simple and classic like mozzarella sticks on this seemingly limited menu. I ordered the nachos, and while you could definitely taste the "beer infusion" in the quest, they were lukewarm at best. On a cold drizzly night, I just wanted some toasty chips, so in a move a little out of character for me, I asked if they could be warmed. Our server had them remade fresh and patiently answered our multiple questions when ordered. She admitted they "don't heat up the nachos" and just "hope the queso sauce warms them up enough", which she agreed is ridiculous, so head's up - ask for the nachos warmed! They were much more tasty once that adjustment was made. My friend enjoyed her burger but found the fries a little lackluster. I ordered the Strawberry beer and found it incredibly strong and hard to drink - not fruity as much as I would have expected! I should have seen the "very strong" part coming since it is over 12%, so that's on me, but it was not at all what I was expecting. My friend and I both thought it sent a weird message that the upstairs bathrooms are just labeled "Men" and "Family Restroom" - why no women's room? [[HIGHLIGHT]]I do love some of the new artwork they used and look forward to trying out the full food menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'll always have big love for this place, but the late night food could use some improvements. Our server was top top tier and made this a much more pleasant experience than it would have been based on what we ordered alone.

We recently came after the reopening of trinity brewhouse. While I found it just "okay" before, I think this new food program is going to be a great success! Sampled both a sandwich and pizza and both exceeded my standards. Bartender was friendly and attentive, even with having been so recent with opening! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bar was beautiful and still kept the brewhouse charm with the TVs and more casual menu.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Noise was not an issue, which can be hard for a brewpub setting![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wishing great success in this new venture!

Great lunch menu for a brewhouse! The fried chicken sandwich was perfectly fried and seasoned, and the quinoa salad was filling and really tasty. The grilled chicken on top of the salad was perfectly charred and the avocado slices added a lot of flavor. Great selection of their own brews plus guest taps as well as a full bar with wine and liquor offerings for those non beer drinkers. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bar area had a decent amount of seating and there were plenty of tables in the main restaurant space as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It was great to be back at Trinity! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The renovation looks good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to check out the basement while there and the murals are gone, but I like the new vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friends and I only came for drinks and didn't get food, but the drinks were good and the woman behind the bar was really kind. The menu looked good, I would definitely go back.

Trinity Brewhouse is located in the heart of Downtown Providence right around the corner from Trinity Repertory Theatre and across the street from The AMP Center and the Rhode Island Convention Center. Trinity Brewhouse was established in 1994 as one of the first brew pub restaurants in New England. My husband and I came here on a Friday night for dinner. The bar had a few patrons and there was only 1 other group there. As the night went on, more people came. There are plenty of tables, both for small groups and large groups, and there is a covered outside patio. The hostess seated us at a booth inside and Kristine was our waitress. I started with a pint of the Belgian Strawberry ale that was brewed with 330 pounds of fresh strawberries and a touch of festive spice to deliver the perfect balance of flavor and aroma. It had a good strawberry taste, but it wasn't significant and overpowering at all. My husband had a half pint of the Black Pearl that was brewed with select malts and molasses. It was roasty and chocolate aroma and flavor with molasses finish. For appetizer, we had an order of the trinity seafood cakes. This had two golden fried cakes loaded with shrimp, scallops, and flaky haddock topped with roasted garlic sriracha mayonnaise over a bed of corn and black bean salsa. When you cut into the seafood cakes, you can see the full shrimp pieces and it was very flavorful. I would definitely get this again. I ordered the pickle jack burger which was served on a brioche roll with fried pickle spears, pepper jack cheese, roasted garlic sriracha mayo, baby greens, and tomato. I was disappointed that the "fried pickle spears" were just a few fried pickle chips and not spears. Also, the brioche roll was dry and not warmed up. However, the meat was juicy. My husband had the Seafood Stew, one of the specials, which had fresh oven roasted N.E cod loin, bay scallops and mussels, carrots and served in a flavorful white wine, tomato and seafood reduction with roasted potatoes. The stew was very flavorful and had a lot of seafood. For dessert, we had the Belgian Pearl Sugar Waffle a la Mode. This was the best part and the highlight of the whole meal. The waffle was sweet and perfect with the ice cream. I would get this again as well. Service was great, Kristine was attentive and checked in to see how we were doing, but the food was mediocre. Now, there are other pub restaurants in Downtown Providence and I think they are better. Trinity Brewhouse is perfect for dinner dates, business lunches, or a night out with friends.

    Trinity Down with O.C.P.

Stopped in to pick up some beer for our homebrew club's biennial RI Mash Madness competition. The manager was super helpful and gave us samples of all the new beers which were created by the new brew master. Tough decision but we chose the Down With O.C.P. brown ale for the competion. While we were there we had the very tasty Pig Candy appetizer, a Black Bean Burger and a warm bacon salad with crispy Brussel sprouts. We enjoyed all the food, service was outstanding and, a week later that beer made it to the Final Four! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lost a star for moving the mural to the ceiling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This is a city gem, that unfortunately will be closing soon. This is a true sports bar, from the outside to the inside decor. The food is very American grill and yummy. The staff is friendly and provided great service. There is only street parking, and surrounding parking lots, in the heart of downtown.

    View from the rail.

Stopped in early on a Saturday....oddly enough before a snow storm. Sat at bar... promptly had food ordered and a beer in front of me. Local beers were good and a good selection as well. Seafood cakes and wings were good as well.

Benedict left a career in IT in order to turn his craft beer hobby into a full time job. He worked as a sales rep and brand manager for a wholesaler before becoming the director of marketing and sales at Connecticut-based Beer'd Brewing Company. He dreamed of opening his own brewery, so he partnered with Goodno, who had 15+ years of experience working for breweries such as Taproot, Victory Brewing, and SOME Brewing. Estes, who had formerly worked at Proclamation Ale Company and the Guild, was hired as the head brewer. Pease and Lombard, who had experience with tax laws and other skills, were the last partners to come on board. They set up shop in a former auto body. Benedict chose the name "Moniker" to strip away the focus on brand egos and instead focus entirely on the taproom experience, the community, and the beer. The brewery became notable for their wide repertoire of beer styles, even earning praise from Hop Culture Magazine. In May 2026, Moniker purchased Ravenous Brewing in Cumberland with plans to rebrand it as "Moniker North". I recently visited Moniker Brewery while I was passing through Providence. They had been on my list for a while. The place was small and cozy but inviting with a decent amount of indoor seating. There is also patio seating outside, but it was a little too wet and chilly on the day of my visit. I pulled up a seat at the bar and looked over the draught menu. There was a nice eclectic mix of styles. I ordered a sampler flight which included "L.H. Czech Dark" (Tmavé), "Midnight Rodeo" (Dark Mexican Lager), "Blinded by Nostalgia" (IPA), "Stay Cool Drink Moniker" (Hazy Pale Ale), and "It's Called Sightseeing" (Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel). The latter was my favorite! Between the eclectic mix of styles and the friendly space, I really enjoyed my visit to Moniker. I look forward to when they open their new larger space.

For service, the customers need to be awared. My grandma asked for soft scrabble eggs, which was cooked perfectly to her liking. I had the Nashville hot chicken and waffles with fries. The waffles was cooked a bit too long. The chicken was very juicy but was not hot at all. For Nashville hot, I expected a lot more and I was very disappointed. On the menu, it said drizzled with syrup but there wasn't really any syrup at all. If it was for the chicken being juicy, that sandwhich would of been so dry!!! Yet the fries were good! The two met when they both worked at a brewery in Honolulu. Once returning to Rhode Island, the couple decided to open their own gastropub in Stephanie's hometown of Westerly. Dubbed "The Malted Barley", the business focused on craft beer paired with gourmet pretzel sandwiches. The pretzel dough is made fresh daily, and every pretzel is rolled and stuffed by hand. After much success, the Bennetts looked to franchise their business model. After signing a licensing agreement with investor Ron Koller, a second Malted Barley opened in Providence in March 2016. In March 2023, the Bennetts closed the original Malted Barley in Westerly so that they could focus on their flower farm, Echo Rock Flowers, as well as their family. The Malted Barley in Providence continues to run under the ownership of Ron Koller. I visited the original Westerly location of the Malted Barley in 2014 while I was on a craft beer bus tour. I was so impressed with their excellent craft beer selection and delicious gourmet pretzels that I decided to make the gastropub a stop on my craft beer bachelor party bus tour three years later. I was very sad when I heard that the original location closed down, but I took comfort in knowing that a second location still existed in Providence. I recently visited the Providence location for lunch while I was passing through the area. When I walked in, I immediately smelled the freshly baked pretzels. For food, I ordered the "Barley Bacon Beast Burger" (75 % beef 25 % bacon patty, pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, more bacon w/ a side of ketchup) on an Everything Pretzel. It really hit the spot. I must add that these pretzels are essentially a hybrid between traditional Bavarian pretzels and New York-style bagels: salty and crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. While looking over the beer menu, I was surprised to see that the Malted Barley now brews their own house beer in addition to guest taps. I ordered a taster flight that featured Malted Barley's "Banana Bread" (Traditional Ale) and "Monster Juice" (Hazy IPA), as well as Long Live Beerworks' "Invisible IPA" (hazy IPA) and Phantom Farms Brewing's "Coarse Woody Debris" (Saison). All of the beers were very refreshing and paired nicely with my pretzel sandwich. I still miss the original Westerly location, but it's nice to know that you can still find delicious pretzels sandwiches paired with craft beer just a little further away.

One of the hostesses was an absolute doll. We loved her. We sat for just a little while waiting for appetizers, and my wife discovered that her ASS REALLY HURT, badly, and mine was getting bad too, due to my lack of natural cushion back there. My wife stood up and never sat back down. She noticed a 4 top leaving and asked the hostess if we could move, completely unaware of the challenges this can pose the crew during the course of business (changing table numbers in a POS isn't always as easy as it sounds). But she agreed it should be ok. They were busy, too, and I heard that they had some staff call in "sick" after a wild 4th of July. So they took care of us and I was really grateful for that. My Mexican Corn Chicken Sando was ok... the flavors kind of got mixed together on a way that it didn't really taste that awesome to me. The wife loved her Huevos Rancheros, despite the hair she found in it (after having them change our seats, she was too embarrassed to say anything about that) and the tortillas that were so Chewy, they were inedible, she really enjoyed it. Our daughter really really liked the poutine a lot. All in all, I wouldn't rush back here, but I think our main complaint was the accursed seating. Aside from the high top, man, on the regular seats you're just sitting on a flat block of wood. McDonald's has more comfortable seating, and McDonald's intentionally makes the seating slightly uncomfortable so you don't just sit there forever, taking up a table. Anyway, it was alright. Every restaurant has its difficult days (and it's difficult customers!).
