The restaurant is in a great location with plenty of parking, making it an easy place to visit. Inside, it was clean, bright, and welcoming. We were seated right away, but unfortunately, the service got off to a slow start. No one came by to take our drink order, and we eventually had to wave someone down to get things moving. Once our server came over, though, everything turned around. Here's what we ordered: - Mango Salad - fresh, flavorful, and I loved that it came with lettuce for extra crunch. - Massaman Curry - on the lighter side than I'm used to, but the curry flavor was absolutely on point. - Pad See Ew - Eggplant - Summer Rolls - Sticky Rice - Lychee Tea - refreshing, delicious, and the perfect drink to pair with the meal. Every dish we ordered was excellent. It's always a great sign when you order several items and every single one delivers. The flavors were authentic, well balanced, and made me wish I had room to order even more. Despite the slow start with the service, the quality of the food more than made up for it. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Orange County. 10/10, highly recommended if you're craving great Thai food!

I came in to pick up my order as soon as toast said it was "likely done". Tofu was soggy, and portion was small. Likewise, the pad see ew was composed of noodles that fell apart upon any attempt to pick them up, the veggies were undercooked, egg pieces were next to nothing, and the flavor was overall lacking. For $35 with tip, I was disappointed by all means. What I ordered was unfortunately mediocre at best - I won't be returning.

My family of 6 decided to try Orange Thai for a Father's Day. dinner. The restaurant is almost…read moreinconspicuously tiny with very limited seating. That usually is a good sign and indeed it was. We were seated promptly as we had Md called in for reservation's. The tables are small and we placed three together. We were given water immediately plus we ordered Thai teas which were promptly served. The owner was our server and promptly took out individual orders consisting of two shared orders of chicken satay. We ordered seafood tom yum soup plus Pad See Ew, one shrimp Pad Thai, two chicken Pad Thai's, Pineapple fried rice. For each order we were asked what spice lever 1-5 we would like. I ordered my pai at a (12)twelve. I also asked for what for me is Sine qua non, that being nam pla prik which was served ice cold from a refrigerator. The only real criticism I have would be that the main entrees were brought to the table before the soup. The satays were served first and I'd say that the chicken texture was more or less that of a thin processed chicken tender. The satay came with a small bit of cucumber and onion side slobs with a I presume was a peanut sauce. The portions were huge, the amount of shrimp, muscles, fish and what seemed to be scallops was more than adequate and very good. I really enjoyed my chicken Pad Thai but could only finish half , much to my chagrin. My Granddaughter commented favorably about her pins pole fried rice and the eldest of my two Grandson's literally devoured every morsel of his chicken Pad Thai. Of course my other grandson ordered Shrimp pad Thai and gave me his shrimp and stated that he doesn't like shrimp? De gustibus non est disputandum? Go figure! The owners service was great and very attentive. The food was very good with only a slight reservation. We were planning to top off the meal with a shared serving of the traditional Khao Niao Mamuang (Sticky Rice and Mango) but we were all satiated to the MAX! Maybe next time. There are more modern looking restaurants with table cloths and ambiance but the charm of the small intimate eatery wasn't lost at Orange Thai. The family enjoyed the meal and my son and I enjoyed the Father's Day experience at Orange Thai.

It's also featured on the recommended restaurant list by Visit Huntington Beach and earned the 2026 Thai SELECT certification from the Royal Thai Government, which recognizes authentic Thai cuisine. Their Lunch Special is an amazing deal, available daily from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Meals start at $13.99 and include crispy fried wonton strips, a small house salad, soup of the day (lightly seasoned with chicken), and your choice of entrée. Here's what we ordered: * Sweet and Sour with Crispy Chicken ($13.99) - The chicken was crispy, and the vegetables had that smoky wok hei flavor that made the dish really satisfying. * Silk Noodle Soup (Thai Style) - Ground Chicken & Shrimp ($12.99) - A Thai-style hot and sour noodle soup with a unique flavor profile. Different from the usual Thai noodle soups I've had, but very enjoyable. * Panang Curry ($13.99) - Rich, creamy, mildly spicy, and well balanced. One thing to note: the Thai Iced Tea ($6) and Thai Coconut Drink ($6) were much sweeter than what I've had at other Thai restaurants. I ended up adding quite a bit of water to balance the sweetness. For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice ($13.99) was delicious and definitely worth ordering. The owner was also very friendly. After finishing up in the kitchen, she came out to greet customers and chat with many of the regulars, giving the restaurant a warm, neighborhood feel. Overall, it was a great lunch experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of their wok-fried specialties. Silk Thai Cuisine 19690 Beach Blvd, Huntington Beach, CA 92648

I got chicken sauté which consisted of a rubbery chicken fillet, sliced on a plate which was tasteless, practically inedible, seem they may have used the microwave to warm up the chicken, hence the rubbery texture. Then I had a papaya salad with softshell crabs, part of the presentation, which covered up half of the bowl was half of a raw cabbage. The softshell crab were heavily breaded and overcooked, and had a weird fishy taste. I left most of my food. I felt ill by the time I got home, my stomach was very upset. I definitely Will not be back..

They have a fast casual set up where you order at the counter and when your food is ready, someone will bring it to your table. Their menu is pretty simple and straightforward. They have Stir Fries, Curry, Noodle Soups, and Soups, and you can choose the type of protein you want: veggies, tofu, chicken, beef, shrimp, bbq pork, chicken satay, or fried chicken, each at different price points. We got a Pad See Ew with Chicken, and it was tasty! There was a decent amount of broccoli in it. They also ask you what spice level you want. We ordered mild, and it had a slight kick to it. We also tried their new menu item, Thai Basil Eggplant. It comes with ground chicken, bell peppers, onions, and jasmine white rice. I ordered mild spice level as well, but it wasn't as spicy as the Pad See Ew. It was still very flavorful and definitely goes well with the rice. It came out piping hot! I would get this again!
