I used Top Tier Mechanical for my HVAC needs in June 2024. I had a new AC unit installed with a new…read morecoil and line set. During the installation, the line set was damaged, property was damaged and things left a mess. He attempted to give me a 2 foot piece of drop ceiling track when what was damaged was a 4 foot section, deeming this section useless. No attempt to replace the 2 damaged ceiling tiles. On top of the damage, the unit never worked properly. I've tried multiple times to have the company rectify the situation as everything is under warranty. It was never rectified last year and as of this year, the company came out and attempted to fix the issue and it did not work. I had a friend, that's works for a HVAC company, come over and check the numbers with his meter. He did not perform any work at all on the system, simply read the number to let me know that the reading wasn't within normal range. Chris, the owner of the company, told me that he was going to warranty my coil and replace it. He has made multiple lies to me with different dates and times he come out. I made sure to set aside time from work to be able to be here for him. He doesn't show up and completely stopped responding all together. I filed a complaint with the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. They have reached out on my behalf and he lied to them stating information that goes against the proof I have in all of the text messages. I have all the paper trail going all the way back to June 2024 when the install happened. It's all been through text messages and I have screenshots of everything. I'm currently without a working AC unit and had to borrow window units to get by in this heat. As of now, I am out a lot of money. I have since had an HVAC company come out and take a look at my system. I was informed, and have pictures, that the coil in my system isn't the right coil. I paid for a 2.5 ton coil and received a 1.5 ton coil. This was verified via serial number. On top of the coil being wrong size, it was improperly installed without the right size pan under it causing a major airflow issue. I have pictures of this as well. When looking into the warranty, he never registered the coil only the condenser, meaning that it is not under warranty. Regardless, it was the wrong size and I had to buy the proper coil for my unit. After having these issues I looked deeper into the company and the owner has been sued numerous times under his personal name, Top Tier Mechanical and his previous company name of Fresh Air Mechanical. It is a long list of small claims and fraud cases. It's all public knowledge, so do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. If you do not believe me, search for yourself on the Wisconsin CCAP webpage. Thank you and I hope I saved you a long list of problems and headache.

The first time was to fix a clogged drain in the bathroom sink. He made every excuse as to why the job would not be simple and said that he was going to call our home warranty to confirm what we needed done was not covered (very negative). He comes back after speaking with the home warranty company and said the service was not covered but he would do it outside of the warranty company for $1600. We kindly excused him from our house and got the job done the next day for $175.00. He came out again from home warranty 3 weeks later (we don't get to choose who they send) for a kitchen sink clog..... he said "I don't see this address on the warranty" he was assuming we lived in a duplex when we don't. It's one address and we use the upstairs for guest. Again, he goes out to call the home warranty company from his truck and comes back and says the job is not covered. He does this because he just wants to trip charge (we have to pay with the home warranty) and he does not want to do the work. I'm guessing because they don't pay him well enough. I kicked him out of my house and had an honest plumber come out and do the job the same day, again for just $175.00. I cancelled my warranty with American Home Shield the same day for hiring clowns like him. beware of hiring him for a job. He is a con and lazy. They must of came free over time due to vibration. The only reason I found this out was when I went to change my filter it was wet. The condensation from the pipe was leaking onto the top of my duct work and running back down. Thank God my furnace didn't fail because this would of caused co2 to fill my house.
