It's the kind of place that feels calm and intimate, especially tucked into a quieter downtown pocket that gives off small-city charm in the best way. I ordered a loose-leaf green tea (I won't even attempt to pronounce the name), brewed French-press style, and it was so good--earthy, smooth, and surprisingly reminiscent of crispy rice mixed with green tea. Warm, comforting, and thoughtfully prepared. My husband went with an Americano, which was solid and well-balanced. They do offer food and small bites, but what really stood out was how community-forward the space feels. There's local artwork displayed throughout the café, all available for purchase, along with curated retail items like tallow products, cool tees, and other thoughtful little finds you don't usually see in a coffee shop. Between the cozy industrial atmosphere, quality drinks, and strong support of local artists and makers, Nashville Cafe feels less like a quick coffee stop and more like a place you actually want to linger. Pretty spacious but gets busy super fast. The vibe is super cozy and the seats are a little bit cramped. I got the mocha ( 8 oz for 5 dollars) and iced vanilla latte. I preferred the iced vanilla latte a lot more because it had better balance of sweet and coffee. The mocha was fine but just didn't have a lot of flavor. I studied for a while and it was a good environment! Parking is a little odd, there's street parking located around the place. read more

Lived in Australia for 6 months, so when my buddy told me Lubbock had got an Aussie cafe recently, I had to go. Haven't had that good of a sausage roll since I'd been in Aus. Eveytime I come to Lubbock I try to come here. They have sausage rolls which I've only really ever had in London. All of the food I've had here is fresh and good and I enjoy their drinks. The service is good and often times you'll see/interact with the owner and she is so pleasant! And that pleasantness is carried through to all of the staff. It has a typical local coffee shop ambiance but I really enjoy that feeling. It's a great place to just read a book or relax with a friend while enjoying a delicious beverage or people watching. We stopped here for a quick breakfast and it ended up being a 2+ hour stay. The atmosphere is so cute, calm, and enjoyable. The staff is extremely friendly. All of the baked goods were truly made fresh. I got the bacon & egg roll with Indian style chutney, chicken and green Chile sausage roll, as well as their lamington cake. This was my first time having an Australian cake and OMG the lamington cake (chocolate cake rolled in coconut) was so moist. On Saturday after the Arts Festival, my mom and I stopped by to get lunch. We discovered they were closed, but the owners saw us and unlocked the door and let us in. On their day off, they prepared us one of the best chicken pesto sandwiches and a fabulous salad with all sorts of fresh veggies and grain. The coffee banana bread muffins were amazing. Art on the walls. Lots of cool seating. I chose a secluded nook in the rear. The food~ I ordered the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) sandwich... wow. Not all bacon is the same! From the best bacon I've ever tasted to the floury bread, tanginess of the avocado and tomato... perfecto! This is served with fruit (blueberries and grapes with a strawberry on top). Refreshing. The owner is from Australia and menu has influence throughout. I had to try the muggacino. It came to me extra frothy with a sprinkle of chocolate on top... and it was the perfect temperature.
