    Proper Aussie sausage roll
    Tanner K.

Lived in Australia for 6 months, so when my buddy told me Lubbock had got an Aussie cafe recently, I had to go. Haven't had that good of a sausage roll since I'd been in Aus. The coffee was almost as good as there, too! The space was great and the staff was friendly, however I do think the prices for food were a bit high. Gather your mates and give this place a go. Cheers.

Nashwell inside is darling, very artsy. Service was awful! We ordered an iced carmel latte a hot white chocolate mocha, sausage bites and avocado toast. The wait was incredibly long, mo communication as to why it took so long to get our coffee and food. People that ordered after us, hot their food before we got ours. We never even got the avocado toast. We will not be coming back!

I had never heard of this place before but I want to say that I was pleasantly surprised! I got the Nashwell Chai and it was so yummy. The atmosphere and art definitely puts this in top 5 cafe stops in Lubbock

Bacon and egg roll with Indian chutney

We stopped here for a quick breakfast and it ended up being a 2+ hour stay. The atmosphere is so cute, calm, and enjoyable. The staff is extremely friendly. All of the baked goods were truly made fresh. I got the bacon & egg roll with Indian style chutney, chicken and green Chile sausage roll, as well as their lamington cake. This was my first time having an Australian cake and OMG the lamington cake (chocolate cake rolled in coconut) was so moist. I was planning on sharing it but ended up eating the whole thing.

10/10 would recommend! Caramel latte was perfect and there is plenty of seating to work or chat with friends. I like the communal tables also. I didn't try to treats, but they all looked amazing. I will be returning to this cute little downtown gem!

We stopped in for an after-lunch tea and pastry after having lunch near by. We wished we had had lunch there though because they had some wonderful lunch items as well! Relaxing and quiet atmosphere as it's also a co-work space. The Australian pastries were perfect and the real loose leaf tea really hit the spot for an afternoon pick me up. Will definitely be coming back for lunch.

Amazing coffee and chill vibes served up at this Aussie-inspired LBK location. Love to see such an interesting spin on cafe dinning. Elite choice for coffee and more!

Visited Nashwell Cafe... absolutely delightful ambience from the Frank Sinatra-ish music to the pale green rafters and brick interior walls... and what would a cafe really be without art! Art on the walls. Lots of cool seating. I chose a secluded nook in the rear. The food~ I ordered the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato) sandwich... wow. Not all bacon is the same! From the best bacon I've ever tasted to the floury bread, tanginess of the avocado and tomato... perfecto! This is served with fruit (blueberries and grapes with a strawberry on top). Refreshing. The owner is from Australia and menu has influence throughout. I had to try the muggacino. It came to me extra frothy with a sprinkle of chocolate on top... and it was the perfect temperature. This was healing! Thank you for a great experience.

Good quality coffee, baked, goods, and meals, including friendly service. I had a frittata with a very fresh quinoa salad. Some of the pastries had Australian names. My cappuccino was absolutely beautiful to behold! Also, very laptop friendly. Plenty of seats and outlets.

He-Brews was the first local coffee shop I ever went to in Lubbock. During my freshman year, my…read morefriend was visiting Tech, and I went with him, my sister, and my at-the-time girlfriend who was visiting with them. I liked how secluded He-Brews was from the rest of Lubbock, right in the heart of prairie dog town. It's hard to get distracted from studying if the only thing around you is dirt. I've been to He-Brews a handful of times since then, having nice conversations with a friend over coffee, getting some studying in when I needed a change of scenery, or last week when I decided to revisit He-Brews while in town. I think the space is cute and cozy. There is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. This time I ordered their Lavender Haze, a lavender and honey macchiato. I thought it was a little too milky compared to the espresso, and it lacked much nuance. It was fine and I finished it, but it really wasn't special. They also have a Christian radio station, KWBF, under the same roof. I have never once seen the station's broadcasters inside the studio while I'm in there, but it is cool to have it in one place. Because of this, you may hear Christian Contemporary Music playing inside He-Brews, which I don't think is inherently wrong, but it is maybe the worst non-secular music to exist, so be prepared with headphones to hear literally anything else. If the macchiato you order is inspiring you to go deeper in your faith, I'd recommend checking out Numero's Good God! Apocryphal Hymns for some much needed fellowship that actually has something to say past the three minute mark. I am not really sure why He-Brews needs to be so strongly associated with its religious method. Nothing about coffee is inherently Christian, but a lot of people deep in faith love to open a cafe. I really don't think opening a coffee shop as a Christian is even a bad thing. I think providing a place of comfort is a great mission to have as a follower of Christ. It's just that they don't advertise any fellowship or promote any charitable concepts. Instead, they have a WiFi password of John 3:16 and say they are inspiring growth. I want to buy it. I want to believe in it, but it all feels surface level. As I left, I noticed the massive load of campaign yard signs outside their building. Nothing says following Jesus Christ quite like endorsing candidates. It's like they realized how good a pun of He-Brews would be and everything else is just trying to make the name work. Maybe that's just me though. RIYL: God's favorite latte

The environment is very relaxing sitting next to a pond and walking trail without anything else…read morearound, yet it's still close to downtown and Tech. The staff was friendly and moved quickly even with a line on Friday morning. Prairie dog mounds exist on two sides of the building, so it's fun to see them. They are shy, so don't walk to them, but bring and throw some baby carrots out for them! The outdoor patio is huge with a beautiful view of the water and greenery. Parking is all dirt and gravel. If you need a drink to-go, make sure you tell them when ordering because they serve drinks in cute, non-disposable latte cups. I only gave 4 stars because the latte was delicious, but not sure it was the strongest. The He-Brews signature latte is delicious!
