Charming little place. We stopped for the night on our way south. Darien is just off route 95. There is a little old town along the water. This cafe is on that little street. Super cute cafe in Darien, not far from the river and other places downtown. I ordered a mocktail and the barista was so sweet, she tried her hardest to make it look like a firecracker pop, but the white layer wouldn't show. She tried to make me another and it didn't work. I love the effort though! Lovely staff and a cute place to stop by. I got some work done while waiting for my drink. read more

On multiple occasions, the staff has made it clear. It's more about them than the customer.. And they continuously advertise for a new staff. And in my own experience, I found it too much trouble to figure out what they've got when they've got it.. If it were my business, I would offer what's on the menu during business hours and I would either be open or closed but these people like being half opened and half closed it just all depends on what's convenient for the staff. Don't go in at 30 minutes before closing and expect to get anything or find a chair to sit in that hasn't already been turned upside down . My husband and I stopped in for coffee and enjoyed it so much. They had a wide range of specialty coffees. I had the blueberry muffin coffee (half sweet) and my husband had a cold latte with coconut sweet cream. We didn't eat there but it looked like it had a nice choice of muffins and scones for breakfast and some sandwiches for lunch. Stopped in here after going to Fort King George, and got a Frozen Caramel Latte with 2 espresso shots instead of one. I'm a Starbucks man, even worked there for a while, but this drink was EVEN BETTER THAN STARBUCKS! You could taste the freshness and the roasted flavor of the coffee/espresso. It's been two days and I'm still craving another one. I'm going to have to go back and buy a back of their coffee bc it was so good! Headed to Florida and had been looking for a good coffee since Savannah. Found this cute little Indy coffee shop open early. Cold brew and skinny lattes were both good and hot. Scone was delicious! Good, friendly service. Well worth a little detour. read more
