I had a partial roof repair done by Nast Roofing in October 2024. The work came with a one-year warranty. After a lot of rain yesterday, I noticed a very large leak in the exact spot that was supposed to have been previously repaired. I called Nast Roofing this morning to confirm that the warranty was only good for one year. When I informed the woman who answered the phone of the current problem she offered to have someone come out and look at it. I informed her that I will look for another company because I have concerns that their work lasted less than 2 years. Her response was simply "ok". Got a quote in May and no permit was filed. The house had no ac and couldn't replace it until the roof was replaced. 16 weeks later and finally they finished. Where does one live for 16 weeks ? The AC people did the job in 2 days yet to wait on a series of interruptions and non sense. We had to call the permit office and get it filed ourselves bec they didn't. Then they had to stall because the one roofer was sick and no one else could come. Then they caused interior damage to the home and lastly it took 4 visits back to get the roof to pass the inspection. read more

I had Nast Roofing as one of the 5 quotes I received for a re-roof project. Sales and Inspector Process: * I gave a call and set-up an appointment the day I was home. The roof sales and inspector came late outside the time frame they provided me due to something outside of their control. I wished they would have an office staff call me and let me know they were going to be late or needed to move the time frame window a little bit later. I had some errands to run and I was waiting for them to come. After the sales and inspector took pictures/inspected the roof and wrote their notes, they had visuals which was helpful. How long it took to receive a quote? * In my case, it took 6 business days (not including Saturday and Sunday) to receive a quote via email. The following business day after having them come out to do a quote, I started getting emails to rate my experience. That seemed weird to me as I had not even received a quote yet. I decided to rate them since they seem to want customer who get free quotes to rate their service. Some advice when looking for a roofing company that helped me decide. * Make sure someone is home to interact with the contractor when them come to do the inspection. I like interacting with them and asking my questions in person. You want to make sure they show-up rather than just look at the house at google and give you an estimate. When getting a re-roof or repairs, you want exact square footage over a estimate (the estimate could be too small or bigger which could affect the price you pay for the re-roof). * Check on your municipality website and review at least the 5 jobs they did. Read in detail how long they took from filing the permit to finish, what the inspector said on their work, etc. * Read the Better Bureau ratings on the company and look them up on the state's business license page with their contractor license. * Check out 1 to 3 nearby municipality websites and review at least the 5 jobs they did as well. Contacted them about a roof repair after Irma. Took more than a week to return my call. In that time two other roofers came out and quoted on the spot. NAST took another week to submit the quote. By that time the work was done by another professional roofing company. The work completed took 2 hours- 10 ceramic tiles and small painting to match existing roof color. That charge was $750 and they left 20 spare tiles. NAST estimate was $1900. That's gouging. People should get at least three estimates always. Keep these contractors honest. read more

His roofers caused $1,500 in damage to my air conditioning system by leaving a sheet of plywood covering the outside condenser unit, causing it to overheat and the seals to melt. I politely explained to the owner what happened. He tried to say I had a tarp covering the unit (I don't even own a tarp) and then said he wasn't taking responsibility for it because his workers said they didn't do it. They did. A history of my nightmare with Nast Roofing. I signed my contract and gave my deposit on March 25th I emailed on April 23rd because I had not heard anything from anyone. I was told that I was in the permit process once that was approved, work would proceed quickly. No communication in May. June 4th again I call because I am out my deposit and beginning to wonder if I am being taken and was told that we were still waiting on the permits. That day they emailed me that you did have my permit and that you would schedule the work as soon as you are able. The permit was actually approved on May 25th. June 18th my old roof came off, they then discovered that the estimate i was given was incorrect and short 6 squares and the job would be 26% more than estimated. At this point I am without a roof and agree to find an additional $4,200 in addition to the $15,000 I am being asked to pay from my original estimate. My trust level in Nast Roofing is not that good right now. Of course now I have to live with the oil refinery smell that my home has completely. My tenants move out and I put them up in a hotel for two weeks while I tough it out. June 23rd I ask for when my tiles will be going on in an email, I was called and told the roof needed to be this way for a couple of weeks. July 5th I call and ask for an update on my roof, was told that my roof was in line but I had again, "two other roofs ahead of mine." On July 10th I was called because they could not find what tile I chose and was asked if I had been given a sample. Again, not feeling great with Nast right now. I send front and back photos of the tile. I am then told it will take 6-8 weeks for it to come in. I cannot for the life of me figure out why this wasn't ordered as soon as I gave my 40% one month earlier. I offer to change the color of my roof to hurry the process along. I am told that all the manufacturers have the same lead time. August 8th the tiles are delivered to my roof. Two more weeks go by and I call to see when I am scheduled and ask them, don't I owe an installment? Nast had no idea that the tiles were on my roof and had been for the last two weeks and a few days. I ask for a statement and for when my roof will be scheduled. Again there are two house ahead of me (I am to hear this same phrase five times over four months). August 31st I am sent my statement and another invoice. Second week in September I call to check the status, guess what two houses ahead of me. I refuse to send the payment in until I have a firm date, they then refuse to place a date until I send the payment in, again they have the upper hand as I have hundreds of possible hurricane projectiles on my roof during hurricane season. They actually had the audacity to say that I will delay the work being done if I don't send them my payment. I mail them my payment. They say they will schedule my roof ASAP. Another month goes by with the tiles on the roof still. I again plead to get the roof done as these tiles are hurricane projectiles. October 26th they finally start on the roof, it takes them two days. Seven months after I gave them my deposit. November 20th they are still not done with the finish work but I get the final invoice. They did not repair the stucco that they damaged taking off the old roofing tiles. This is of course in the front of my house. Another month and December 18th they said that since the worker said they would fix it, they would but don't normally. It is at this point that I notice the front of my house, which has two peaks is inconsistent. The smaller peak has a fascia board the larger peak does not. I ask the worker why not, he says that they did not put in the furring strip of wood on the larger peak so they cannot put a fascia board in. In other words, the front of my house will never look consistent. I bring up the point that the fascia board is on one side and not the other and how are they going to remedy this? Told the owner will call me that day, as you can guess there was no call. Finally in January, I call the city inspectors office to re-examine the inconsistency and they agree it is not consistent but that it met code. Thus 90% of my house looks one way, 10% that faces the road looks another way. January 18th the same worker comes back to paint the area and the fascia board so they look more consistent. It doesn't. I was told on four separate occasions the owner of the company would call me, he never did. I emailed him, he had someone else respond. This has been the worse experience I have ever had with a contractor and I have renovated several homes in several states. I would avoid this company. read more

Signed contract March 27th 2018 and delivered deposit the next day. Nast had on its schedule sheets a completion by June 1, 2018. During April no building permit was applied for and no tile ordered. Sent emails about building permit in April and no one answered. May 3,2018 went to the office and no one had any idea if a permit was pulled and told Owners on vacation. Came back May 7th and I was told the person who filed applications was out and I had to call or come back. The owner was combative and argumentative and stated all Nast could do to finish by June 1, 2018 was to strip the roof and put underlayment. This was not a good experience, and it seems to me that once it got the deposit I was at its mercy. Too crabby and combative to deal with. Have gone elsewhere. read more

Extremely bad job, and very expensive. They took a very long time to complete, and since they completed the job 2 years ago, the roof has leaked several times. It's leaking right now and they can't send someone to even look at the roof. I have never dealt with such a bad company. I am surprised some reviews are good, maybe they were posted by this company. I got an estimate from Nast Roofing and I decided to go with Nast Roofing to do the repairs on the roof. So I sent them 50% of the total bill, they cashed my check on Nov 2, 2016 and I really did not know they cash the check until I checked my bank. I never heard from Nast so I sent email, and no response so I sent another email, no response so I decided to call them on Nov 15, 2016 at that time they said you are on the schedule for next week so they showed up 4 days after that. They power washed the roof places that needed to be fixed creating another mess where the roof was leaking and did nothing about it plus made a mess in our pool area which was only half way cleaned. So after that another 4 to 5 days went by then they came and put a coating on the parts of the roof that was supposed to be repaired then they left and never said anything about it being finished. So again I had to call and ask about the roof being finished and they said it was finished so I went on the roof and discovered that they did not repair the roof they just put a coating on the roof and that was it so I called again then 2 guys came out and looked at the roof and discovered that it was not repaired properly so the guy had workers come out while he was watching and repair the roof the correct way. Then they just left again not saying anything about having the roof finished. So I waited, in the mean time I get a bill for the remainder of the bill so I sent an email again asking them if the work was done. They take your money then you get terrible service and the customer has to keep calling to get anything done or you will be waiting for ever before they do anything. Then 2 days later they sent me pictures of the finished product. After 6 days later Debbie from Nast Roofing called me and we discussed the situation, I told her at that time I did not want anything to do with their company so she offered me a 1,000.00 extra years' warranty and take 200.00 off the bill. I told her I did not want the warranty just give me the money off my bill instead. She said she would have to discuss this with her husband. 10 days later a guy calls me and wants to talk to me about the roof so I met with him. He said that Debbie sent him to talk to me just about taking 200.00 off, I told him I wanted to talk to Debbie he said she was on a plane going someplace, I said so she sent you to do her dirty work. This company is really professional Ha Ha. So I gave him all their money and told them I do not want anything from them no warranty no nothing what so ever. I told them I already have a new roofing company. So take this all the way you want. If I am getting this treatment you know others are to.
