.66 lb of cheap candy for $18
    Erbira B.

I wanted something a little sweet and stopped in since it was right next to my gate. I saw some sixlet chocolate balls and thought it would be fun to buy these. Having never been here before, and there being no direction or instructions, when I hit the dispenser to get the candy into the bag, I definitely dispensed more than I wanted! But, I thought, "No big deal," I'm sure I'll eat them eventually. What I didn't know was that this little bag of cheap candy would cost me $18! I hadn't noticed the little sign that said $1.64 per ounce! When I expressed my shock, the girl at the counter said nothing. Will NEVER come back again!

Are these Jack and the Beanstalk magic beans?

The selection is pretty good for something to satisfy your sweet tooth, but it's ridiculously expensive! Just because you're shop is in an airport, shouldn't mean you charge "sky high" prices! That being said, the colorful displays draw you in deep down the rabbit hole! As a PEZhead, I was impressed with the Pez dispensers and Pez refills! However, the jelly belly jellybeans are outrageously priced. Are they Jack and the Beanstalk magic beans? I totally got rooked, but ah well, lesson learned. I'll definitely be savoring each one of these tiny morsels of sugar, I think each bean cost $5! Lol!!

What we already knew: Natalie's is a great place to pick up last minute sweets for the plane ride. The staff are always friendly and willing to direct you to the poison of your choice. It's conveniently located in the C concourse of the DFW airport. If your flight isn't hitting these gates, fret not, they have more than one location. It's a bit pricey, even for the airport. When you consider the novelty of such a shop, you should expect no less. That leads me to what we learned today: Natalie's has over 400 varieties of conventional, nostalgic, proprietary and hard to find candies and candy related gift items. Their selection of bulk chocolates is the largest of it's kind. They feature a generous assortment of sugar-free treats, nuts and health conscious trail mixes. Admittedly, I usually just load up on gummies here because I get stopped by TSA every time I bring them from home. Seek out a Natalie's Candy Jar in your town. So worth the effort. If you don't have one, look for one on your layover in Dallas. 10/20

My sweet tooth had it's way with me! The displays made this store too tempting.

The visual displays caught my attention. They have bright vibrant colors and artfully arranged candies of all kinds. I have a HUGE sweet tooth. I suspect I may have more than one. Sweets are a weakness, for sure. I probably would have walked through the store and made a purchase anyway. However, I had been having a random craving for flat taffy. It's a favorite from my childhood and something you don't find many places. Well, they had it here. Score! They have the typical bulk candy available, as well as many other hard to find choices. I was happy to find the store and will surely remember to look for it when I find myself in this terminal again.

I've seen and passed by this store so many times, and it was my first time going in here because I wanted to have something sweet. I browsed the store and thought they only had candies and chocolates, but I found nuts which I was surprised. I grabbed some pecans and cashews for snack. I'm also surprised that it was very reasonable. My snack came out only less than $2. The stuff was nice. I will come back if I want to have a quick bite.

My one gripe is this is the kind of store it's fun to browse, but difficult to buy from because everything is so unusual and priced as such. We did buy a few things, honey sticks and some cherry drops. The guy behind the counter was notably humorless, weird for a candy store. I don't know if I've seen Willy Wonka too many times, but I kinda want the people working in a candy store to appreciate the joy of the narrative. This dude barely acknowledged me as we checked out. I think we will likely always visit Blooms when we come to Downtown Carrollton because it's kinda irresistible. It's a novelty store and a good place to find an unusual gift as you sift through the options.

I am SO sad that this store is closing!!!…read more Kate Weiser has SO MUCH TALENT! Her candies and colors are literally pieces of ART to me...they are SO BEAUTIFUL. Her stores are closing due the increasing costs of products to produce this deluxe chocolate. She even won Chocolatier (probably not spelling the correctly, sorry Kate~) of the year, and the ONLY women What a SHAME!!!! This is a Dallas based store, and in a high-end area, which should be able to afford such a DELITE:) and be able to support her shop. We stopped at Kate Weiser for a journey in chocolate. We visited many of the flavor stops that they offered and found quite a few of them that were indeed explosive in taste. There were maybe 20 or more combinations and my son and I selected ones to fill our boxes with. We hung out for a bit eating this one or that one while drinking our waters. The staff here were fun, They knew their stuff, and they were very attentive. Honestly some of the flavors were meh... one or two were yuck, but the majority of them took us on a trip of flavor transcendence! Wow!! They looked almost as good as they tasted. True small confectionary works of art that were so perfect they looked fake. It was an awesome stop for my son and I. We had lots of fun and would come back again any time we are in the area.
