Really unique flavors, awesome options, reasonable prices, and service with a smile. We finally visited the neighborhood donut shop this weekend - and it was pretty great. This is a true donut shop - they open early in the morning, and don't stay open too late. Places with these hours ALWAYS impress my husband (because they remind him of Australian bakeries) so he was really excited to try. We both got a couple of donuts each, and my favorite was definitely the fruity pebbles donut. Crunchy, not too sweet (surprising!), soft donut texture - this is definitely my go to for this place. We wake up pretty late on the weekends, so the donuts weren't as fresh as they could be, but I will DEFINITELY be back to try tacos, kolaches, and donut holes! Tis the week of over indulging and stretchy pants so I figured, why not start my day off with a delicious treat? After reading Keri B's fabulous review, I knew I had to get a breakfast taco and a plain glazed donut. She speaks the truth when she says a glazed is the basis on which the rest will be good or not. And it was! The dough here is excellent and doesn't feel like a concrete brick is sitting in your stomach the way others can. I shared the plain glazed with my husband and got a strawberry iced for myself. The icing was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I'm pretty sure I ate the whole donut in two bites. Don't hate.. The apple fritter, cinnamon sugar, and cinnamon twist donuts also looked tempting. They have plenty of ones covered in sprinkles too for the kiddos, or kids at heart! I got two Maple and Bacon donuts for my husband and he loved them. I found it ironic/hilarious that while he was eating them our dogs, Maple and Bacon, were begging for a piece. I also got two bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos (one for me, one for hubs). They were made earlier that morning but kept warm in foil. The house made salsa is awesome and is the perfect companion to the tacos. They sell the salsa on its own for around $5 if you are interested. Everything here was yummy and the woman behind the counter could not have been nicer. Stop by and give them your business, they deserve it! Sprinkle donuts are my favorite. Well this place didn't disappoint. The donuts were not greasy. They were light and fluffy with great tasting frosting. Ate my donuts so fast that taking a picture wasn't a priority, they were that good. read more

It's not bad it's not great, just kinda an okay spot to get a donut. Selection wasn't great when I stopped by. We got two glazed donuts and a potato egg and cheese breakfast taco. For the price, things are a reasonable value. All of this came to about $4. My issues with them are the selection, the meh glazed donut, and the long wait time. Donuts are not in heavy rotation in my diet. Not that I don't like them. I DO!! In fact I love anything with any kind of connotation of dough in it (love nuts too for that matter :) but since we are what we eat, and I don't want to be a dough-y girl, I exercise restraint where I can. This place is tucked back in a shopping center with subway, Pizza Hut behind the 7-Eleven. You will miss it easily if you don't know where exactly it is. But once you can get here, you will be delighted with the offering they have. They are known for there donuts but you will be surprised how good there tacos are. Yay! Finally found a winner in my monthly-ish search for a non-chain donut place! Dropped by Nathalie's on my way into work this morning. Got a plain cake, and an apple fritter for less than $2. Apple Fritter: I thought the filling was almost too sweet, but I don't regularly eat apple fritters, so I didn't have much to compare it to. Maybe if the filling was more sugar based and less corn-syrup based? Still yummy though! Plain Cake: This was a great contrast for the fritter. Very...delicate flavor: not overly sweet or spiced. Stayed in Cedar Park this weekend at some friends' house and decided to bring them along for our regular Sunday morning donut adventure. The day's outing brought us to Nathalie's. We tried a glazed donut, an old fashioned glazed donut, and an apple fritter. The glazed donut was "meh", the old fashioned glazed donut slightly better, and the apple fritter was one of the best I've ever tried. So now I'm hooked on the breakfast tacos AND the maple-bacon donuts. Both are awesome and it's hard to pick. It's also hard to hold out until Friday or Saturday to make a trip to Nathalie's. I'm usually a bacon & egg purist (potatoes are OK but just filler, really) but I have to say their chorizo is top notch. My only complaint is that one day they had the doors open (the AC was out, maybe) and flies were getting in. Please keep the doors closed. I took the kids to Nathalie's this morning like I did a few times in the fall. The kids really enjoy the treat. We arrived at 7:28 am. There was a line inside and only one person at the counter. I had not fed the kids breakfast so I was kind of stuck. It took at least seven minutes for my turn because the lady at the counter was unable to work quickly due to her very long nails. She was not wearing gloves which seems like a health code violation to me. People in line behind me were agitated as well. I will not be a returning customer. read more

This review is long overdue from last Sept. but I like to order donuts for my sons birthday breakfast. We have made it a tradition getting their donuts in the shape of the age they are turning. I called this place about a week ahead of time and they "wrote" it down and we stated we would be there to pick it up at 6:30am since we all had work and school. My husband gets there and they had no idea what order he was talking about but proceeded to start making it. It took over 30+ minutes and the end result was a mess. My husband came home with the donut and the icing was all over the box and so messy. I will attached a photo. They did give him some sort of discount but our time was wasted. My husband had no time to enjoy the morning with us either since he had to leave for work, something we tried to avoid by calling in. Such a disappointment. Stopped by to pick up a few things on the way home and tried some glazed donut holes, the apple fritter and had a bacon egg and cheese and chorizo egg and cheese breakfast taco. The Tacos were Good but not great, and the salsa was pretty flavorful. The Fritter was really crispy on the outside and soft inside and tasted great. The glazed holes were good as well and reminded me a bit of the Round Rock donuts with their slightly orange hue to them. KOLACHE REVIEW: As part of my latest obsession, kolaches, I woke up this morning and had nothing short of a determination to feed on kolaches. I also decided, that my regular kolache fix, Krispy Kreme, would not do. I need more, new, fun, exciting kolaches. BUT, this morning's kolache craving was also tempered by the Saturday morning laziness. The two dynamics wrestled like Olympian gods in my psyche, until an accord was reached--I will seek out new and exciting kolaches, but no more than three miles from Casa Shoehead. After the armistice was signed, and all parties leaving the negotiating table happy, I was faced with a new challenge--where do I find said kolaches with minimal traveling and effort? Luckily, I conferred with a great NW Austin resource, Keri B, who--probably sensing my inherent laziness--sent the Yelp link right to my inbox. With the mere click of the link, I found Nathalie's Donuts. The only thing that could have possibly been easier, would be to have Keri B pick me up the Kolaches and bring them to me. I really didn't see that happening (though, I really didn't ask her, either, so who knows...), so I jumped in the Shoe-Cruiser and drove the 2.8 miles to find Nathalies. Not much to be said about it. It was clean, the people were friendly, a cute girl waiting for her donuts smiled at me, everything was good. No different from most donut shops I've been too, but not gross and dirty either. I arrived late, so the selection was meager--my fault entirely. I was left with only sausage and jalapeno kolaches; I got a large and a small. They were priced cheap enough, and were quite good. Tasty Texas sausage, inside a nice sweet-ish dough, with a little zing of jalapeno. They didn't blow me away to grab the 5-star designation, but I'll definitely be back.
