I just had the BEST blueberry cake donut I've ever had in my life, I couldn't even wait to get home to write this review. We come here a lot and it always slaps. Drive-thru is super convenient and sometimes, if I go a little later in the day, the lady gives me some complimentary donut holes (instead of throwing them out each day). Love this place read more

We had been to fresh donuts long back, we were satisfied with the donuts but place itself was underwhelming, wasn't so clean, so we dint go back again. Thought of giving this place a try again and stopped by, glad we did, they have taken all tables and chairs inside and it was clean, nothing like it used to be. We got donuts(glazed, chocolate peanuts, cinnamon sugar) and crossaints Donuts were very good, little smaller than other places. Crossaints were fresh, flaky and soft inside, crispy outside but it had some weird taste not in a bad way but something was different, maybe flour or butter they use, dunno‍. Definitely recommend there donuts and they have drive through option which is nice for the current situation. read more

Been coming here for years. They've been consistently great. I've enjoyed everything I've tried. The donuts are fresh and delicious - love their blueberry cake donut. I like their breakfast tacos too - bacon egg and cheese hits the spot every time. Nothing fancy, but good quality and consistent. We generally use the drive thru which is super convenient. Service is always fast and friendly. Seems to be a family business and it's evident they put care and attention into it. Prices are very reasonable too. read more

Growing up I've been spoiled with Round Rock Donuts so I was expecting to be disappointed with Fresh Donuts....boy was I wrong! The workers were friendly and the service was great. The restaurant was clean and prices were very reasonable. The donuts themselves were fantastic, especially the donut holes-- hot out of the fryer. I'd highly recommend giving Fresh Donuts a try, and will be returning myself. read more

Been looking fo a little donut shop for a while. Did some of other locals and they are great but this takes me back to the hole in the wall I grew up with!! These folks have everything and they are super nice and helpful. Selection is great! So many Kolache mixes to go with every donut. Only missing powder. Good drink selection too I was pretty impressed with the cooler. It was clean and has a couple chairs/tables! We will be coming here from now on !! read more

Awful! went @7:30am: glazed donuts were cold& tasteless. ordered a large Kolache w/ cheese but they gave me one with NO cheese, cold, with a small shriveled hot dog in it and NO RECEIPT so I could take it back. It was not busy, 1 other person there, maybe you should take time to do your job right! And their breakfast tacos are NOT fresh, they are frozen pre-made and heated. I used to live by a Fresh Donuts in Southeast Austin and LOVEE their donuts and kolaches. I found out that they are family owned and this is her brother's place. Same recipe. SOOOO DELICIOUS! I love their kolaches and donuts. This location has a drive thru! read more

Stopped in this morning and got 1/2 dozen small kolaches, a couple chocolate twists and donuts. They tasted very fresh (living up to their name!). I think the small kolaches taste better than Round Rock donuts kolaches. Will have to come back and try some of the other items. read more

Oh my gosh I always go to Fresh Donuts for breakfast at least twice a month, my best friend and I originally started going a couple years ago, the couple who owns the restaurant are the SWEETEST people ever! Very fast and very friendly service! Reasonable prices! I love this place. They have great kolaches and donuts. I recently tried their sausage, egg, and cheese crescent and it's a new favorite of mine. The one thing I want so badly to like is their apple fritter, but I've gotten it 3 times and the outside is always fried to a crisp and tastes burnt. It's upsetting because the inside is so moist and delicious but I end up having to throw a third of it in the trash. I will always come here when I want a quick, cheap, delicious breakfast! read more

I LOVE this little donut shop and the people that run it are adorable. I hate to admit it, but they recognize me now. I don't even go there super regularly, but they know what I like. When I know it's going to be a long day I pop in and grab a croissant and a donut. I have tried multiple things and have never been disappointed. They have their own unique flavor and don't taste like every other donut shop around. I recommend them all the time and will continue to come here when I've got the craving. read more

This is our go-to donut shop. The Kolaches are fantastic (the bread around them is so soft and delicious), the cake donuts are moist, my husband loves the apple fritter and the old fashioned donut and the glazed donuts melt in your mouth. They are also well priced. Comparable if not lower than the other donut shops around. I've taken dozens of donuts and kolaches to work and everyone there enjoyed them too! And the best part of all is the man and woman who run it are so friendly and happy every time you come in. It starts your day off in a great way! read more

A very small, family-owned donut shop that I like to indulged in every once in a while after TaeKwondo. The interior of the shop is as generic as the business name suggests. The service is friendly and I really appreciate their willingness to accommodate requests for mixing and matching. The donuts are a cross between, Krispie Cream's light and fluffy and Round Rock's cake-like donut's. The glaze is not overly sweet like most donuts. The selection is typical of a donut shop and there are few varieties of kolaches. The kolaches are pretty good, with a good bun to dog ratio. The prices are very good and there is always service with a smile. read more

Let's hear it for the new kid on the block! Good donuts, better kolaches, easy in, easy out, and a nice family run business. This is a great addition to the small neighborhood strip center on Sam Bass. For those of us that travel Sam Bass each morning, about the only thing I can think of that would make it better was if it was on the other side of Sam Bass so it didn't require 2 left turns getting in and out. read more

I'm a donut fiend, so I was trilled when a doughnut shop opened up down the street--especially one with a drive-through! Unfortunately, I've been underwhelmed every time I've gone there. Selection is okay, service is spotty, doughnuts are fine--not bad not great--but the thing that gets me is the price! A dozen doughnut holes and a buttermilk doughnut set me back almost $3. For the time being, we'll keep going to Serena's or Central Donut, which are both cheaper with better donuts and kolaches, in my opinion. read more

Would not normally have stopped in here given the very generic name and appearance, but did so on the advice of a friend. Really good breakfast croissants and pretty good kolaches. The folks that own it are nice and try hard. Very convenient location for those of us living off 3406 and the drive through is an added bonus for when you have the kids in the car. This spot has been officially added to the weekend breakfast rotation. read more

We were rather lucid by 6am one night and we remembered that there was a donut shop down the street. There were 3 of us and we went to go get some tasty treats. Well, $40 later and not to mention they have "CANNED YOO-HOO" we passed out in a food coma. I love this place. The staff is super nice and everything is nice and fresh. This place in going to add inches to my waistline. I love that a fresh donut store has opened near my house. Their donuts are light and fluffy, not like the heavy chunks of dough most grocery stores peddle, and not dripping in funky orange frosting like the big donut store in town. I like their blueberry donuts the most. My son ranted and raved about their kolache. I've been a few times in the past month and plan to return. read more

I'll never understand why Texans love donuts so much. I eat donuts maybe once a quarter and it's usually because I've dropped my wife off at the airport and I'm up at 8am. There's nothing miraculous to report about Fresh Donuts, it's just...well, guess. I like apple fritters and these were ok. I think for our area I'm still sold on Round Rock Donuts which I've grown to appreciate. FD is ok but nothing to write home about. I'd like to try them again in the future and test them out again. read more

Overall, this place isn't bad. This morning was our first time stopping by since we were in the area. We probably would've passed this place since it has such a generic name and is located in a small plaza. But we were searching for nearby breakfast places on Yelp and this one had decent reviews. My husband got an apple fritter. He didn't notice much of an apple taste, so no wow points there. I got a boudin kolache which was tasty and filling! I don't know any other place that serves this. We also ordered coffee which was brewed fresh for us. I'm not sure if they brew coffee to order or if it was because we got there after the breakfast rush and they had run out of coffee. Either way, it was nice and strong. I would come back for the boudin kolache. read more

I love this place... I personally think the donuts are one the best I have EVER had! To begin, one thing I really like about this place is that they are open till one. Most donut places close early, so I really like how this place is open so much later! Also, the service is always so kind. The people working there are always cheerful and efficient, and they always have a smile! That service really can make someone's day! And now for the most important part... the donuts! Oh my gosh. They are incredible. There is SO much variety, donuts and cinnamon rolls and sausage rolls! The donut section has so many different types... sprinkled and glazed and cream filled and so much more! One thing that's so awesome is that they will fill your donut with jelly or cream right in front of you... so it's super fresh! The donuts just taste so amazing... fresh and light and the perfect amount of sweet! Personally, I think this place is the BEST donut place ever... ten out of ten would TOTALLY recommend! read more

I started coming here back when I was in elementary school with my mom! Now I am 23 and still LOVE this place! From the donuts to even the breakfast burritos are fantastic! One thing that really sticks out for me is their boudin!! I am a boudin SNOB and their kolaches are.... well... they are so good I can't even put words to tell y'all how good! My recent obsession there at the moment is a combo breakfast sandwich (bacon and sausage)! To be completely honest I stumbled on this sandwich when I had a terrible hang over and it was the perfect hearty (the food hangover greasiness)!! The woman owner named Mai has always gone above and beyond and really takes time to ensure that their customers are helped! Love love love this place and have for over 10 years now! :-) read more

Not a whole lot of places in Round Rock to get good croissants/kolaches, but this place is brand new and in my neighborhood. I was surprised to find how good this place is: ham,egg and cheese croissant was flakey, my large jalapeno sausage kolache was great as well, ordered my daughter a small sausage, egg and cheese croissant and she loved it! The donut holes we received were very good as well. As it's very hard to find a good kolache place, and having a somewhat picky child, it's nice to find this little place on the drive in to work or great stop for the weekend garage saling. I was so glad to find this place, I wanted to get more information to share with fellow Yelpers! So for the first month, they are open 5 AM - 6 PM, and then after that, they will be open 5 AM - 1 PM. Don't go to them based on my review, go to them to find a new place to get breakfast at, then you be the judge and add your own review. Whatever they do to get the flavor and texture of these donuts is above and beyond any donut shop I've tried. I don't even like raised donuts, but theirs are fluffy and delicious. The cake donuts are perfectly done, never burnt, never tasting of past-it's-prime oil. read more

When I got home, I realized one of the items was wrong. I ordered an egg and cheese kolache. They gave me a sausage, egg and cheese kolache. The person this was for is a vegetarian and cannot eat sausage. This item been trashed, as no one else likes sausage I called the store (#FC6305). The first time I called, someone answered and hung up on me. The second time I called it rang and went to a voicemail that is not set up. The third time someone answered and they were very confused why I was calling. They could not comprehend that I was given the wrong item. I kept repeating the issue. Eventually, they told me that they only carry sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches - so that's what they gave me. It doesn't matter that I ordered egg and cheese. I complained that if they don't care this item, I shouldn't have been able to order it. And that they never told me at the store that they couldn't fulfill this item to give me another option at that time. It's inappropriate to charge someone for an item and give them something different - without their knowledge. This person did not care. This clearly wasn't a mistake; it's their business practice. The manager, An, blamed me for ordering through DoorDash. I told her several times that I ordered through their website. Then she blamed me for ordering online, because "the website has all items served at all stores. Not just our store." She repeated that only carry sausage, egg and cheese so that's what they gave me. She sees no issue with being given the wrong item, or that the person is vegetarian and can't eat it. She went to talk to someone else (a guy); I was expecting a solution. When she came back she said "what do you want?!?" as if she forget why I was on the phone. They refused to offer a refund or any solution. She told me to call someone else. I called corporate and the agent I spoke to filed a claim. She was yawning through the entire call. I've never experienced something like that... I gave her my contact info and when she repeated it back, it was incorrect. So, I don't expect to hear back from corporate. I wish this store had just told me that they didn't have the item that I ordered when I picked it up. This could have been resolved very easily. The kolache cost just $4. The fact that they do not care and don't see the problem with knowingly serving the wrong item is my real issue. The donuts are okay. Coffee was awful. This is why franchises like these are forced to close multiple locations or just disappear all together. Customers are getting tired of this shrinkflation crap and just overall horrible ability to supply people with a great consumable product for a reasonable cost. RR donuts here we come! On weekends when they get busy they need the greeters walking in the drive through taking orders to have printed out menus. I never understood this. They do this at Chick Fil A too. Like how are people supposed to know exactly what they want without reviewing the menu? It creates congestion and people behind get annoyed with waiting longer if the workers make you wait to order until you finally pull up at the order screen. Management, please give your staff printed, laminated menus to have along with their mobile POS system to charge customers. Otherwise the donuts are great, especially when freshly made (warm), the workers are friendly, and the cold brew coffee is awful.
