I had the sausage and cheese kolache and enjoyed it. I appreciated that the size of the meat was bigger than usual and it avoided that gummy texture that old kolaches sometimes get when you microwave them. They are super friendly, always happy, and conscious of how busy it is. Sometimes you might get complimentary donut holes if you have to wait too long . They also have kolaches, croissants, and biscuits. No veggie options for these so be prepared to only have donuts if you don't eat meat. If you have little ones you might want to go earlier in the morning as they can run out of donuts with sprinkles on them. My Wife brought home some donuts the other day because my 3 year old wanted a donut. I must tell you as a food connoisseur that this place has the best donuts hands down. They are always fresh, always pillowy, and delicious. Also unlike the other donut shops I have seen they are not expensive. OMG! I just recently moved over here and I stopped here on the way to my new place. I got a lemon filled donut and a breakfast biscuit. That donut was the freshiest, tastiest donut I ever had. I am not a fan of donuts. I find them to be too sweet. These donuts are perfectly sweet not overly done. And they are FRESH. Those little donut holes are like little pillows of perfection. My grandson normally will not eat a donut. He asks for these. The place is nice and clean. The staff is always super friendly. These donuts are worth every penny. I stopped in this morning for the first time. First off, the service was incredible. The person that helped me was very friendly and both of them were getting through the line quickly. Second, the prices are great. Like, really good. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast croissant and three donuts for less than $8. The sandwich was so good. We tried Fresh Donuts today. The donuts were fresh and sweet without being too greasy. They reminded me of Shipley with a more vanilla taste. We also tried the sausage kolaches and the cream cheese kolaches. The sweet kolaches weren't as good as West Kolaches but they were still good. The Apple Fritter was huge and was very tasty too. Just O.k at best. I have been to this location on three separate occasions, hoping to have a better experience, but it just never comes. The doughnuts offered at this shop are very lack luster. Their is nothing special here, and their is no standing out from any other sub-par doughnut shop. They offer the same old boring items of any other like business, and their flavor and presentation fall short. The pictures that are represented on Yelp must be by the owners, because every time I am here their offerings are sparse. With this being said, the Kolaches always look great, and the owners are nice enough, but with these positives, they still don't out-weight the negatives. If you want a better doughnut, make the drive and head up to Round Rock doughnuts, or just your local Shipley's. read more
