I can't speak for the night time but if you go before 5pm, it's great. The bartender that works during the week is my 2nd favorite bartender of all time, so I'm sure she'll be your 1st. The food is great, get the Chicken Louisiana (It's not on the menu but they can make it for you) or the Rubin. Beers are at a good price with 24 taps. The crowd is laid back and friendly. Went with my boyfriend and his friends to go out and apparently they have a dress code where guys can't where ripped jeans but girls can. Basic example of inequality. Went on a Saturday evening for bite to eat as my daughter was home for the day. Able to get table right away. Service was quick, efficient and food was good. I don't know how this place has so many stars. Been here twice since moving into the area and the food is not good at all. The only good thing is the drinks. The nachos are made with gross vendetta cheese that makes all the chips soggy in less than 10 minutes and uneatable for almost $12. All the other food I have gotten are subpar. This is an Irish pub done right. It doesn't matter how busy the bar is, the service is like non other. 5 stars for the ladies who kill it behind the bar. Their food, though standard bar food, is much tastier than most, and the prices are pretty competitive. Been here a few times now for food and drinks. The atmosphere is classic Irish pub/neighborhood bar done in dark stained woods with muted green and brown paint on the walls and ceiling and low lighting. You feel relaxed the moment you walk in. The liquor and beer selections are fine although more choices for single malt scotches would have been nice. Now to the food. Very solid each time and reasonably priced. Nothing fancy mind you but classic pub food executed very well. Thier "house" wing sauce is very good, nachos are stacked high and plentiful and each time my burger actually came out medium rare. With many other burger places offering only "pink" or " no pink" in terms of doneness, its nice to go a place that actually will serve you meat from rare to well done and do it right. Plenty of large screen TV's all around if you want to check out a game with some friends but the volumes are down so they don't over the room if you want to go there with your girl or other couples. They just were voted Best Neighborhood Bar by the local Arts and Food Paper and have established a very solid reputation quickly. My last visit there was for lunch the day after St Patricks Day. Needless to say, the staff was tired but our waitress was cheery nonetheless, the food was on the money and the place looked great. You would never have guessed there was a mob scene there until 2am the night before and people were there until 6am cleaning and prepping. Popped in for a late lunch & to watch the Croatia/England match the other day. They had the game on (no sound, but okay, fine), so I sat at the bar, which was about half full (mostly all regulars, it seemed). Food was decent, beer was good, bartender was on point. Hustling, pouring accurately, smiling, laughing. My experience was fine. Then, (thankfully after I was done eating) she went back into the kitchen and came out HOLDING A DOG!! A FUCKING DOG!! She then proceeded (from behind the bar, no less!) to pass the puppy around to all her regulars. Absolutely disgusting. I was silently praying for the Health Department to walk in. Stopped in on a Saturday night to check this place out. Interior seemed nice and modern. It was moderately busy with mostly a younger college type crowd. I was impressed with the nice selection of beers on tap and amount of TVs. It was mainly a sausage fest in there with not many girls. They did have a few guys feeling each other's pecs and putting each other in headlocks. Maybe thats when the girls left I don't know. I liked all the sixteen acres street signs on the wall. I have been here 3 times now. Each time we have had great service and food. The beer that we have gotten has been good also (although nothing special). As far as food goes I would recommend the potato skins which is pretty much the half a potato with topping on it (delish) and the French fries. I have gotten the wings which were good but I don't think I would recommend the house sauce. There is also trivia night on Tuesday which starts around 9. I will be back here as it is relatively close to my house and haven't had a bad experience yet. read more

We went here last Saturday night and sat at the bar for dinner, drinks, and to listen to the band. For pub food, it was very good. We had boneless wings and "Irish Balls" for appetizers, and they were both excellent. The clam chowder could have been served much hotter in temperature, but it was honestly some of the best I've had in the area. Everyone in our group enjoyed their sandwiches. Best and safest bar in the Springfield area, great food, great people and fun events!

I frequent this bar restaurant because of its close location to where I live. The food is pretty good, my favorite is the house sauce on the boneless wings or the Irish balls. The beer and drinks are averaged price. They lack a mixed drink menu but that is common. The atmosphere changes quite often. If you go anytime before 10pm even on a Saturday or Friday night theres bound to be kids in the bar area and they never seem to be well-behaved. The crowd ages from 20's to 60's which is nice to see later at night. The service is my biggest concern. The waitresses aren't the best especially in the bar area. Last night me and boyfriend sat in one of the high table top tables and after waiting for twenty minutes we decided to go get our drinks at the bar. We had to flag down one of the waitresses in the dining area and she then got us the waitress that was "taking care" of the area we were in to take our food order. She seemed to be socializing with her friends that were drinking more than working. This was the same case for the table next to us as well. It seems to be a norm that you have to get your own drinks if you're sitting at a table, seeing as we've had to do this many nights. Overall, its a good place that is very involved in the Springfield community! read more

My husband and I had never been to this restaurant before. We had heard good things about it and decided to try it. My husband ordered the special of corned beef and cabbage. He said it was delicious. I ordered the Cajun pasta and chicken. It too was excellent. Our server was so friendly and suggested the not so spicy bone in wings as our appetizer. She was right on the money with this one because they were perfectly spicy. We sat at a high top and saw the band come in. They played all the music we love and really got the patrons involved in making requests and singing along! They even let a couple of people hold their guitars and take pics for their friends. Worst bar experience ever. The workers are creepy, rude, and lazy. They accused me of having a fake when it was a real ID but refused to scan it to see that it was real. Later then got kicked out because we had drinks from outside that we were planning on throwing out but there was no trash and the bouncers were to busy giving me a hard time on my ID to take the drinks from us when we first walked in. read more

Most attentive staff ever!! We used the banquet hall for our son's rehearsal dinner. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Everything was perfect. The food was delicious and hot. Shannon is a treasure! She even set up our centerpieces for us which we were expecting to do ourselves. The bartenders were also amazing. If you need a venue there is a private room with a bar, working fireplace, restrooms and a sound system. You can't go wrong here. I am reviewing this pit of despair due to my horrendous experience last night. I had gone there with a group of about 15 people for a birthday party thinking we would be able to party and have a good time. BOY WAS I WRONG. The second we all walked in I could tell I had made a bad decision coming to this dump. My brother had ordered a drink which was spilled by the bartender (if I could even say that about this horrendous individual) who then proceeded to remake the drink AND make it clear that there was a $10 credit card minimum. Now first of all for an establishment to have a minimum purchase requirement for an order is severely appalling. Either they must be in dire need of money because the crap they serve there would disgust pigs (yes the farm animal) or they are just very greedy people. Now on to the part of my night which completely infuriated me. My brother decided to pay for the poison he received from the bartender even though he should not have, and obviously left no tip and for good reason. This bartender had the audacity to come stomping over like the troll under the bridge and yell/argue at my brother for not giving a tip. My brother proceeded to inform the bartender that with service like that, Dick's Last Resort would not bother hiring her (which is known for having its staff treat people like shit on purpose, this moron was by far worse). The bartender then told my brother "you're out" after which a bouncer then told them to leave. After our night was ruined, my brother's girlfriend went back in and gave the bartender a piece of her mind. NOW FOR THE GOOD PART ;) this little insolent, sad excuse for a life form runs out after my brothers girlfriend as if she was going to fight her. Sadly enough, I don't think she would be able to fight her way out of a wet paper bag. This experience at this abysmal place will haunt my nightmares forever and if the owner of the place sees this please note; If you do not change your staff up and give them lessons in respect, your place will close its doors sooner than later because with the people you have in there now, as well as your $10 minimum credit card requirement, I highly doubt that business will stay within that shantytown of yours ;) read more

If I had to make a list of the worst mistakes in my life, wasting my time in a deadbeat bar such as this would be at the top. When a group of people decide to celebrate, the expected result is to have an unforgettable experience. It truly was, I have never seen an establishment run by animals. Not only was the service inexcusable but the food was inedible, not even a dog, unfed for a week would so much as show its tongue. I began by sitting with my girlfriend in a booth near the bar to celebrate finishing our last year of college. We ordered drinks which were highly watered down from a server who must have been under the influence, her words were slurred and didn't know what we were ordering when we ordered our entrees. After several trips back to a table to confirm what our order was, she finally got it right. We waited so long for our food I'm surprised I didn't grow gray hairs. We had ordered the Gumpy burger, needless to say it was the perfect name for it. The plates of slop that she placed in front of s were unrecognizable.I should have majored in archaeology because I had to dig for my over easy egg which was smothered in the mayonnaise that comes with the burger. When I finally found the egg to check if it was the way I ordered, it was as if it was fossilized, thats how hard it was. The bread had turned soggy and after asking for a different meal to no avail, we resorted to eating with forks and knives. After our first bite, we pushed our plates to the side and asked for our money back. After wasting our time with this poor excuse for a waitress, we found another waitress who argued that we had already eaten our meals after eating one bite and we had to pay before the bouncer and the police became involved.In the end we payed for our uneaten piles of garbage and found another restaurant. It is clear that this Nathan Bill's Bar is a scam and an embarrassment to the restaurant industry. read more

Pleasantly surprised! We're on a road trip. Stopped over in Springfield for the Basketball Ball of Fame. We try to steer clear of the tourist trap restaurants. This place is off the beaten path, tucked away. Staff was friendly, service was good. Food was too! Husband is super picky about eating out, but didn't have even one complaint. He loved his Irish eggrolls and Beefy McKluckin. My caprese panini with grilled chicken and pesto was delicious. Could've had a better selection of kids meals. A little pricey at $6.95. Therefore, Three out of four ordered adult meals. Fish and chips, grilled chicken salad, and chicken cutlet sandwich for the kids, they were happy. The chicken fingers weren't good though, lots of hard crunchy batter. Fries were the crunchy, crispy kind, not my favorite, but there were hot and not soggy. read more

Love this place. Close to home and the food never disappoints. Music is a plus and the outside patio is kept warm in this early fall with some nice patio heaters.
