Was referred to Nathan Yang and Joanne Jeng by a friend whose relative's two children are their regular patients. This was the first visit to Dr. Jeng for both my husband and me. Purpose was general exam and teeth cleaning. I was impressed with the unexpected sunniness of the office layout and the immediate, warm welcome by Sharon, the receptionist. Dr. Jeng was cordial, informative, and exceedingly skilled in providing care. After many decades of excellent dental care (I'm 73 and my dentist of 40+ yrs. recently retired), I can say that I've never experienced a more thorough prophylaxis with sensitivity to my concerns. (Admission: I always have slight trepidation during a dental visit.) But, after this visit with Dr. Jeng, I'm confident that she and her staff will be seeing my husband and me as regular patients from now on. I have had six dentists in my life (I move around a lot). I can say that my experience with Dr Nathan has been hands down the best ever. I visited his office for a sensitive tooth (temperature) and he quickly found the issue (a damaged filling from ages ago) and provided me with a temporary solution to hold me for the holidays. I was flying off a few days later so he didn't want to do anything drastic that could impact my holiday. The temporary treatment did the trick and I was fine until I went back today to replace the old damaged filling with a new one. I felt no discomfort and he was kind enough to walk me through the process. Later in the day he called to check in, make sure the numbing had subsided and that my bite felt good. I had selected Dr Nathan based on other Yelp reviews. They didn't lead me wrong. I'm thrilled to have found an attentive dentist who does such great work. read more

Awesome. Both Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng are really nice dentists. Going to the dentist can be nerve wrecking for everyone. So I thought I would be a nerd and call 1-800-dentists to get a good recommendation for a dentist. Boy did I ever! I hadn't been to a dentist in over a year so I was nervous! After the cleaning, it was like a manicure in my mouth (though I don't have my bejewled tooth anymore, that is so 2006). Neither of them have said any judgemental comments which i think everyone is nervous about when the dentist is in your mouth. Instead they are super sweet and honest. For instance, I asked Dr. Jeng about Zoom Whitening and she said for me, it would kinda be a waste of money as the difference would not be very noticeable. I love when people try to save me money! Another awesome thing is that they are open on Saturdays which helps. Go to them. They rock! read more

My husband and I are delighted to have Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng as our dentists. They are a husband and wife team and they are WONDERFUL. They are not in network for us anymore, but their rates are so reasonable for SF that their services are always covered as much as they were when they WERE in network. They are really thorough and do excellent work and teach great preventative care. Our Pediatric Dentist hires people from the school where Dr. Yang teaches and when they hear his name they sing his praises as a professor too. read more

I was initially referred to Dr. Yang's dental office through a friend and boy, am I glad I took my friend's advice! Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng are 2 of the nicest and most professional dentists that you'll ever meet. Like most people out there, I never liked going to the dentist, but each and every time I visit Dr. Yang's office, its an enjoyable experience and I always leave with a clean, minty fresh set of teeth. Dr. Yang is a friendly guy and we always end up chatting about cars, movies, technology, companies, and other miscellaneous topics. Before any procedure, he always takes the time to explain everything to you and asks if you have any questions before and after the procedure. He truly cares for his patients and he's definitely an honest person. (i.e. he won't recommend services/procedures that you don't really need) On top of that, I always leave his office with lots of little freebies and of course, a smile on my face. Love both Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng. Professional, caring and personable. They are young, but very knowledgeable. I've been with Dr. Chu for over 10 years. When she sold her practice to Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng, I was skeptical. Anyway, I thought I should give them a try since I've been going to that same office for so long. I am glad I stayed. They made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. They take their time to hear your concerns and answer questions without making being judgmental. Dr Nathan Yang, Dr Jeng, and Dr Magnus Yang are all great doctors which means this place is the right place to go to for a dentist. Their knowledge is incredible and shows through their work and techniques. The facility is also very clean, so you know they take pride in their business. With dentists in the past, they'd try and do unnecessary work on you and some don't even do it correctly. Okay, going to the dentist is a nail biting experience for me. I hate the sounds, the idea of someone being in my mouth for an hour, the drill - I have to brace myself for the appointment. Well, Dr. Yang is the absolute best. I have some major work to be done and he patiently explained everything to me, did exceptional work and didn't give me a lecture about letting some dental work go longer than I should have. He is kind, believes in doing things right the first time and he is the reason I will continue to come to make sure my teeth are taken care of. They took me on an emergency basis when I needed a root canal and my tooth was pounding! Some antibiotics and I was good to go until I could get into see an endodontist. (BTW their referral to the endodontist was excellent!) They are open on Saturdays which is a plus. They are cordial, funny and caring but most of all, they take dentistry seriously. My aunt referred me to Dr. Yang and I am so pleased. I hate going to the dentists but the staff made me felt very comfortable from the very first visit. Dr. Nathan Yang does everything from regular dentistry to whitening by using the greatest and latest technology out there today. Many people might be overwhelmed when a doctor uses dental mambo jumbo. Dr. Yang makes everything understandable to the individual, so as a patient you really understand the health of your teeth. He makes you feel comfortable as a patient and does a great job of explaining what he is doing and why. He is a genuinely nice person whom I trust and respect. The office is small and friendly, not like those big places that feel like a zoo. I strongly recommend him to anyone who is seeking the very best in dental care and teeth whitening. Dr. Yang takes the time to go through my dental problems and suggests several possible dental treatment plans. He is very knowledgeable and informative about my dental problems and I trust him to fix my teeth. He genuinely cares about my well being in terms of my dental care. The front desk and staff are friendly and I did not wait for my appointment. Dr. Yang provides excellent dental care and does a very thorough job explaining and doing things. Been so busy it's taken me a while to get this review in but I have a dentist appointment soon and I want to get on his good side. I only kid but seriously, Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng are awesome. Where do I begin? A vast majority will agree that going to the dentist sucks, but Dr. Yang and Dr. Jeng make it a point to make it as painless as possible in every way. Both of them take the time to explain what's going on, listen to your concerns, and are super friendly. Dr. Yang will chat with you almost the entire time about anything and everything which is cool cause it makes it easier to forget why you're there in the first place. An added bonus/ reason why my dentist is cooler than yours is when Dr. Yang stole my foursquare mayorship of his office, he felt bad and gave me an awesome sonicare toothbrush! sweet deal! They never leave you hanging in the freebies dept, I love the sample toothpaste for traveling but I digress.
