My 84 y.o. mother went in for an extraction on a cracked molar that was infected. Dr. Lam was very patient and detailed, and especially careful with the procedure to avoid further damage. Another great visit to see my favorite Dentist in his office on Geary Blvd.and 25th! Dr. Lee and his two very competent Assistants, Crystal and Cherry, make such an excellent team. They worked together so smoothly on a relatively complicated prepping job for a bridge that I was still out of there on time and happy. I cannot recommend Dr Lee enough. I'm a nervous patient (and so is my wife) but we have learned to trust him and his team - even the two cheerful and proficient ladies who work the front desk and handle all the complicated billing make my day! I appreciate how they call me the following day to make sure everything is okay, after a significant procedure, I feel very well-cared for. I've had many Dentists over the years, and I'm so glad that for the last 10-15 years I've had the privilege of being his patient. (And my whole family, my wife and both children (now 18) have grown up with him and his staff, and we've all seen either Dr. Duong or Dr. Laio when he's not available and have felt the same level of care.) Dr. Wayne Lee is the most thoughtful & thorough dentist I've ever had in my life. All these positive reviews about him are all true, and I want to add on my praises! 1) He's a great dentist. He stresses that caring for ones natural teeth is most important, so he only performs procedures that need to be done (unlike a dentist I had in the past who just wanted to make $$ off unnecessary procedures). 2) Everything is super hi-tech. He has all the coolest latest gadgets - for my cavity filling, he used a fancy gel mouth guard that sucked away all my spit, and it made the whole process more comfortable. Also, he takes these super HD images of your teeth and projects them onto a screen (Huge reality check - encouraged me to floss more!) 3) He's super thoughtful & makes the process comfortable. He really takes care of all the "little things" that usually suck about the dentist -- bright light glaring straight into your eyes? He has sunglasses/goggles for you to wear. Lips drying out from keeping your mouth open for so long? He applies Vaseline to them beforehand. Dr. Lee has been my dentist for over 10 years now!! I am happy to have found him as he has consistently been an attentive and skillful dentist, in addition to being friendly and personable. I've had a general dental cleaning here and gotten my wisdom teeth removed. Both encounters were great! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and follow COVID guidelines. During my wisdom teeth removal, I was very nervous but Dr.Lee made me feel so comfortable! The procedure was fast and we even joked and talked throughout the procedure. I must admit, I'm quite surprised that I feel impassioned enough about my dentist to write a review, but I have to say that Dr. Lee rocks. I've been reflecting on the three visits I've had with him over the course of the past year, and I think I've been in the dark up until now about what a GOOD dentist really is. My whole life, back in Detroit, I basically had the same dentist. From about age 5 until 28 or so, with a few years of interruption in there during college and short moves to Europe and Chicago... But somehow, I always ended up back at Willow Creek Dental. I sort of set my dentistry standards by the dudes at the Creek, and man -- I set them way too low. Dr. Lee has just totally turned my dental universe on end. He does the cleanings AND exams himself, he's incredibly patient and explains everything he's doing as he's doing it, he has this really calming manner... He did a filling for me back in December and it was like he was performing open heart surgery. And okay, though it took a long time, I was very confident that it was done RIGHT and SUPERBLY. He has an oral camera, so when he wants to tell you something about your teeth, he puts it in your mouth and takes a picture and shows it to you on the computer screen. Dr. Lee is down with modern technology -- cool. And, on my visit two days ago, the doc lowered the exam chair with a smile and informed me that he had a TV installed -- IN THE CEILING. Dr Lee is very experienced and professional. I had four wisdom teeth removed, the procedure and the recovery process were much better than I expected. One of the wisdom teeth was extremely difficult to be removed but Dr Lee handled it with composure and patience. I didn't even need to take Tylenol coz I didn't feel much pain. It is truly an indication of how incredible a dentist can be when the first thing you want to do is write a rave review about her.. DR. LIAO ROCKED. Not only was she warm and down-to-earth, she took her time to review my medical and dental history, past X-rays, and any new concerns I was having. She then educated me about the possible origins of my issues, potential strategies for resolving them, and dental anatomy in general. She was incredibly knowledgable, but communicated the information in a way that was clear and easy to absorb. She also walked me through each step of the exam, and checked in periodically to see how I was feeling. The dental assistant and receptionist were just as awesome. The receptionist even reviewed the details of my insurance coverage! I've had the same insurance for years, and no provider has ever explained it to me (and, of course, I really didn't read the massive coverage pamphlet). The process was so pain free that the only thing keeping me from dozing off was getting to watch the World Cup on the TV in front of my chair!! Obviously, I'm very impressed. Dr. Lee is THE BEST dentist ever fixing my pearly whites. He is friendly and professional, always smiling. Great support staff too! Dr. Lee added a few more dentists to his staff through out the past years and they are just as good as him. When Dr. Lee is not in, I will usually see Dr. Duong. Another great dentist. I recommended my mother-in-law to see Dr. Lee last year for major dental works. She is a retiree on a fix income. I don't know about loving to come here, but thy definitely make going to the dentist a breeze! Everyone here is always so chipper and nice! I had to have a deep cleaning done..not a fan of needles, so that is actually why I changed to Dr Lee in the first place. I don't know if they just done use needles for the gums to numb, but they have this little clicky thing that they put lightly between ur tooth and gum and I believe squirt the numbing solution in a few pockets around the mouth and then it's just like getting the injection with a needle to numb everything. Works great!! Been coming here ever since. Not the best for parking so feed ur meter but other than that I highly recommend this dentist to anyone in the area or just people that don't want needles in their mouth like me!!! read more

Dentists & dental Staff here are Superb!! KID YOU NOT!! I've gotten superior treatment again, and I'm NOT a new patient. So, I dare you to come here and give this office a try. I'd warn you, you may never want to go back to your previous old dentist again once you set foot here! This dental office's doctors & staff have been very consistent in providing quality care treatment over the years (the past four years) since i first became a patient. The dental cleaning I received from Dr. Liao last week was "first class" (as always) even when Dr. Lee was not available (Dr. Lee was on vacation). With Dr. Lee vacationing, the office was still efficiently managed and the quality upheld & maintained nicely (not a surprise!!). The office's basic belief in providing consistent quality & service have proven again & again that it holds these timeless virtues very dear in their practice!! Dr. Liao was more than generous with her time in explaining the causes for one of my molar's sensitivty. She prescribed a proactive take-home solution to address my problem using Sensodyne/MI paste. My 9 y.o. son just came here for treatment and he said Dr. Liao was SUPER!!! He said that Dr. Liao was gentle and nice. So I recommend this place to you, on his behalf as well. read more

Dr. Lee is the best dentist (of three) I've seen in San Francisco. I didn't like the last two I visited, so I didn't have very high expectations for finding a new dentist; I saw him on a recommendation for a co-worker. He is a very nice, friendly, and patient dentist with an equally nice staff. He took the time to explain to me why I was experiencing a pain that I'd mistaken for a cavity; he first showed me a video on tooth abfractions while I was getting my dental exam and then projected a view of my own tooth onto the screen for comparison, which was really interesting. He completely put me at ease and I left feeling like I actually had a greater interest in continually caring for my teeth properly instead of trying to trick the dentist by being good about flossing only for the few days before the appointment. Also, it is very easy to get here on the Geary bus line, which is a plus. read more

Thank you, Dr. Lee for saving me. So I was so afraid of dentist before from that very poor experience I had in east coast and therefore, I stopped seeing dentists. But I was fortunate to meet Dr. Lee who is so skillful, honest, and kind that I regained my courage to receive dental care again. I would definitely say that he is by far the best dentists I have ever seen. He would not recommend unnecessary procedures and was very honest and straightforward. (Be careful with other dentists.) Anyway, his schedule is so busy because so many patients want to get appointment with him. So his office recommended me to try with an associate of Dr. Lee last week. He was just as nice and very good with his skill that I did not feel any pain during routine cleaning. I was so happy and told the staff in the front desk, who by the way, was very friendly and chatted with me for half an hour. THESE PEOPLE ARE INCREDIBLE! I needed a tooth extraction a few weeks ago so I decided to Yelp the closest place within walking distance. Thankfully, their office is located right on the corner of my block so I called them to make an appointment. The stairway to their office is situated to your immediate left when you enter CitiBank. I was apprehensive at first because the Chinese-style furniture made me think , "they cater to old Chinese folks without health insurance." The front office lady (Lianne?) quickly eased my fears though by handing me a stack of legal papers - THANK GOD! Needless to say, I was in an out of there in less than an hour. This included the paperwork, waiting for the lady dentist (Dr. Lee was on vacation) and the actual extraction. This was honestly the best experience I have ever had at a dental office. The receptionists and dentists are very kind, warm and highly efficient. My appointment was with Dr. Duong, Dr. Lee's associate. He had a terrific friendly yet professional manner, was great about explaining things in a way that I could easily understand, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and *literally* caused me absolutely NO pain or discomfort. Even when he found I had a cavity and I decided to stay and have a filling put in - absolutely no discomfort. I was pretty amazed. I was also impressed by the equipment they have, it is clearly state-of-the-art and top of the line. Unlike some dental offices I've been to that use pretty old equipment. The efficiency of the technology in this office made my visit seem shorter, while at the same time, it was extremely thorough. In addition, they go out of their way to make sure patients are comfortable, with things like tv's mounted in the ceiling with a remote that the patient can control for the picture and music as well, and even little things like sunglasses for the bright dental lamps and lip balm to prevent lip dryness while they attend to your teeth. I got the feeling that this office, and everyone who works there, strive to make the patients' experience as comfortable and high quality as possible - and that they WANT to do it, they love what they do, and they take pride in doing a great, great job - and it really shows. While I was filling out paperwork when I first arrived, another guy in the waiting room told me that he had never had such a great dentist as Dr. Lee, that he was almost like an artist, and denistry is his art, and he takes his time and does the best job he can do. I cannot say enough about this dental office. After I noticed something was seriously wrong with two of my teeth, I drove by the office and saw they accepted new patients. I called the next day, was called back immediately by their EXTREMELY friendly staff, and the rest is history. I feel this dental office saved my teeth. They truly helped me in a way no other dental office has before. First I want to share about their extremely friendly staff. Not only are they probably the friendliest doctor's office I have ever been to, but they go above and beyond to explain things to you and support you during your visit. They also will set an alarm and refill your parking meter for you free of charge! Not only that, but they have television sets in the actual rooms, so you can watch television while getting dental work. While getting my fillings in, I got to watch Maury Povich! I almost forgot I was at the dentist! Secondly, I want to share about the price. As a recent college graduate and newer employee of a local market, I have no health/dental insurance. I was really scared over the potential cost, and obviously their is a cost, but the initial exam for those without insurance was free, and the X-Rays were only 10-20 dollars each. I got the impression that they really try to work with those with low incomes. I think my total bill for 2 days of work and 4 very intense cavities/fillings, plus X-Rays, was around 850. Most importantly though, I want to share about the services I got. I ended up having 4 cavities, 2 of which were severe and very deep. One of my teeth was completely chipping, grey, and looked like it was eroding. I was terrified. The other most severe tooth was chipping and looked awful as well. I initially saw Dr. Diana Chan who diagnosed the problem and she was very helpful and sweet. Dr. Christina Liao was the dentist who actually filled the cavities, and I couldn't be more grateful. She made the entire process truly pain-free (expect the shots to numb of course) and really explained to me what was going on. She took the time to TRULY, in detail, explain how to take care of my teeth, and it was as if a veil of ignorance was lifted. Her help truly changed my life, and my dental hygiene completely. I just had no idea. I left after two days of work feeling like a new person. I have since been back (a week later) because of a continued sensitivity in one of the teeth and Dr. Wayne Lee saw me for free. They performed some gentle work to one of the fillings and even pointed out a problem I have with my other teeth because of nail biting, and he filled those teeth down for free. It looks completely different. I had no idea! They have fixed my teeth in so many ways. I truly feel this dental office was a God-send. I was very pleased with the service I received from Dr. Wayne Lee and his staff this week. The office is very efficient and they really work together as a team to be sure your are comfortable and taken care of. Dr. Lee runs a tight ship and is very involved in all aspects of the office from cleaning my teeth himself, to asking if I had a preferred radio station, and making sure that I saw a short video on root canals. He is very knowledgeable, confident and friendly. What was most impressive is that I went out of there feeling good about my teeth, instead of guilty for not flossing. Dr. Lee and his staff were very positive and did not try to over sell services to me. I felt totally confident that I was in good hands and was getting an honest, professional accessment. Having just relocated to SF, I needed a new dentist and decided to do some general online and yelp research. I found my way to this office after some pretty great reviews. The morning of my appointment, I made it a point to announce to my FB friends that I hated the dentist and was in fact, not looking forward to my visit. After having a semi-traumatic experience with the removal of my wisdom teeth by another DDS - I'm as skeptical as they come. The first thing I noticed was how clean everything was, followed by a decorated wall of degrees and various certificates. All good signs so far... When "the time" had finally come, I was greeted by Dr. Christina Liao. She was warm and welcoming and asked me a variety of questions instead of just sitting me down and jamming metal objects in my mouth. I really appreciated how she took the time to explain everything that was happening step-by-step. She even took the time to guide me through the anatomy of a tooth while reviewing my x-rays on a television screen. The assisting staff were also equally welcoming and helpful! As a kid I was always terrible at maintaining my teeth which forced me to spend a lot of time at the dentist office. I had such a terrible experience in my youth that after I turned 18 I stopped going to the dentist. When I needed some work done at age 29 I went to Dr. Lee after reading some Yelp reviews. I was pleasantly surprised that the not only had the dental world changed significantly but the staff was very conscious about minimizing pain as well as minimizing invasive treatments. With Dr. Lee he is looking to provide the best solution to the client, whether that means more or less profit is not a factor. I am extremely happy with the quality of the staff, so much so that I decided to get Invisalign treatment through Dr. Dong who is a great resource for information and a great orthodontist. I'm a fan of Dr. Lee's dental office. He uses all new state-of-the-art technology and it makes the whole dental check-up & cleaning experience quick, efficient and interesting.
