The place is nestled along the coast associated with a marina. The complex the restaurant is housed in reminds me of an assisted living vibe that was repurposed as a family resort. Kinda like if you added some water slides and pools to the side of an ol folks home. We walk in, wife and kids begin chirping about how the restaurant looks ok but is giving off some retirement home, but! The patrons are mostly family. We are seated at the back of a nice room , however our back wall adorns a large lcd screen emblazoned with a digital beach scene. My back is to it, so it doesn't bother me too much. Now that ive set your expectations to "questonable"we get to the food. Wife and i not expecting much. We go with the recommendation from my parents to try the tomahawk steak- for four people, kids ordered salmon rice veges, and spaghetti dish, The tomahawk takes about 45 mins to prepare. Comes w a Cesar salad, and we also ordered a calamari appetizer. The house bread is soft warm and fresh. W a sid eof roasted red pepper butter. 5/5 Calamari has light batter w. A nice sauce chipotle mild? Very yum- 5/5 Ceasar salad on point w the right composition of dressing, and fresh greens! 5/5 Kids: My sons who are picky 1. Salmon rice broccolini dish- completely gobbled up. 5/5 2. Spaghetti w carbonara sauce. 3/5. He said it was ok. Maybe too heavy on the cheese. Tomahawk - came out cruise missile style and landed into my top steaks crater. This thing was pre cut, on a meat board , w delicious gravy in a gravy pot, side of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables? Maybe some were also grilled . The meat was perfectly done a medium- light red , tender, touch of blood. Made to order. Meat was all eaten , as were the veges and the mash 6/5! Considering my expectations were low when i was judging this place on its looks. Also tried a side of the mushrooms- well cooked w good aroma 5/5 Desert was a chocolate lava cake - light cake part and rich chocolate lava part-4/5 Needless to say. Exceeded expectations. We had a private dining area with Alex as our server . He made sure all our needs were met, provided exceptional service and was attentive at all times . Everyone in the group enjoyed the evening with delicious food, tasty appetizers, great wine and delectable desserts. The restaurant is beauty, great view of the bay, an oyster bar and an inviting atmosphere. All dishes including Chicken, Salmon and prime rib were delicious as the Main course and the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée were decadent.

One with fries and one with a Ceasar salad. Breading on the fish was light the halibut was a nice large piece! Cooked perfectly nice and flakey not greasy at all. The scallops and shrimp where cooked well too. Chips where fresh and light. The Ceasar salad was not worth the 3.50$ dollars for the upgrade. They just tossed two strips of bacon with it. No croutons, red onion or even parmasean. Was also dissapointed that they didn't do a home made tartar sauce and also no lemon provided with the fish. At first I was excited to see the paper in the take out bag! Then realized they wrapped the take out box in paper. Hopefully they will cut back on the waste and just wrap the fish in that beautiful paper moving forward. Would really love to see this place stick to fish and chips and sea food options and perfect their sides. Would love to see more fish and seafood meals and stay away from the burgers etc and really specialize on the seafood. There's plenty of wing and burger family restaurants and I think they could really make a go of it if they keep it simple, fresh and refined! Unfortunately the food did not meet the expectations and increased food prices. We ordered the calamari as a shared appetizer. It was tasteless. I opted for the chicken Parmesan and a caesar salad. There was nothing redeeming in the chicken Parmesan...it was so bland. And probably the worst caesar salad I have ever had...soggy crouton and store bought dressing...so bad. I have no plans to return to Ted's.

We have been pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the seafood for a small independent store in a rural area. It pains me to call out a small business owner during difficult times but during our last two visits to the store there was a staff member that was not wearing a mask. I assumed the first time that the staff member had forgotten but on our second visit when I was greeted by a staff member without a mask I enquired and was told that they were not required to wear masks. Instructions on their door spell out the customers obligation to wear a mask and I had hoped they would respect the safety of their customers and do likewise. Too bad we can no longer support this local business.

I wanted to avoid going to a chain restaurant but you're better off going to one of the chains and skipping this place.
