Awful... normally I go to a Nathan's like the one at ATL airport and it's fine. Today was a different experience at this one. I ordered a #1 combo, a dog and fries. Most people in line ordered a combo. First, they ran out of fries and that took 10 minutes. So we waited for fries. Then, they ran out of hot dogs. So we waited for hot dogs. Then, the one worker said out loud "these fries look moldy" (!!!!) Then I asked for mustard and they gave me ketchup. I said don't worry about giving me the fries since they're moldy. Absolutely unbelievable. It was like a Seinfeld episode. Maybe have more than one tiny convention oven to handle all the food, and don't keep food until it's moldy... corporate needs to come shape this place up asap because yikes read more

Honestly, I'm not sure how you can mess up hotdogs, but they did. My group and I wanted a quick meal before our flights, and this was a disappointing experience. I ordered regular fries, bacon cheese fries, a chili cheese hotdog, and a drink. First off, they forgot my drink, and I had to wait a long time for someone to notice. When I finally got it, the drink was warm and had no ice. The hotdog was either overcooked or had been sitting out for too long, and the bread was hard. We didn't even finish the meal. The young man working there seemed disoriented, maybe tired or just not wanting to be there. While I think this might have been a bad day rather than a reflection of the entire establishment, I wouldn't likely return. If I ever do, I'll be sure to ask how long the food has been sitting. The fries were at least edible, though they lacked crispiness and seasoning. On the plus side, everything was clean, but with so many better options within walking distance, I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

I like a good glizzy here and there, a nice quick and go meal. But Nathan's is the grand hot dog, never been disappointed. Up until now. Both buns went through a hack job, and my fries were cold after a 20 step walk back to my seat. Stopped by tonight while on a layover and NO ONE was there. Waited a few minutes because it was by my gate and I had 3 hours until my flight. Eventually I got frustrated and asked the person at the coffee shop next door if they were closed. Nope, they were on break...EVERYONE WAS ON BREAK!!!! Now I gotta know because, heck, I don't have anything else to do. About 15 minutes later, someone shows up. So this isn't a full Nathan's. They just serve hot dogs and fries. Not enough time to sit down at One Flew South, I grabbed just a hot dog from Nathan's. No wait. Good flavor, cooked maybe a little too much, I put a little bit of mustard on it and was able to eat it while boarding the plane. Not bad for $3 plus tax. The restaurant is small and is a grab and go kind of locale. I decided to grab hot dogs as I thought they would be very fast to make but it took 18 minutes as the staff appeared to be overwhelmed. HORRRRRRRIBLE- in every possible way. It's so tiny and barley a line and with about 4-5 people working and they are extremely unorganized. They don't know even know who is suppose to do what, they mix everything up and you will be stuck waiting forever for frozen ass hot dogs. Stopped by this airport stand on the way out of Atlanta... I had never had Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs before after hearing about it for years through the hot dog eating contests... and I opted to get hot dogs from the street vendors in NYC during my last visit up north... so I figured now would be as good as any time to try them out since there were no Nathan's in Houston... I opted to get two regular hot dogs with fries... and surprisingly they were pretty flavorful - the all beef dogs were made of higher quality meat than the ones you find at the ballpark... I was very satisfied before hopping on the plane back to Houston. My only complaint would be that it took forever to get my food - but hey... it's the airport. read more

Terminal T in the ATL airport doesn't offer many food options. I walked halfway down when I realized I was running out of options. Nathan's seemed like a decent choice. The lady taking the order was friendly, and nice, but that's where the positive comments stop. I ordered the slaw dog and a grilled chicken sandwich. The dog was cheap and puny. The casing was tough, like it had been unfrozen and frozen too many times. The chicken sandwich was worse. The bread was not close to being fresh. It tasted of cardboard. I loaded both up with ketchup and mustard to try and get them down. Seriously... worst airport food I've ever had. It came with krinkle cut fries, 2 hush puppies, 2 pieces of thickly battered fish, cole slaw, and a drink. Get the ORANGEADE. It's essentially an orange lemonade. Me likes. I try to stop here anytime I go through the Atlanta Airport. Years ago I had Nathan's Famous hot dogs and fell in love. It is because of them that I eat at hot dog stands now. Well deserving for the stand alone star. Slow service, indifferent attitude by staff, and poor food quality (especially the Kenny Rogers chicken sandwich, which is also part of the Nathan's stand) puts it on my ATL avoid list. Now don't worry if you're thinking of ordering a dog and fries, you'll get the Full Benefit. We had both and they were equally bad. Yes, yes, yes, a millions times yes. I've made it pretty clear in other reviews that I love hot dogs - and Nathan's are definitely at the top of that list for me (#3, behind Boar's Head Natural Casing Franks and Hebrew National, in case you were wondering.) The price is good for airport food - usually since you are a captive audience, they can normally gouge you when you are trying to buy food. Not so much here - it's very reasonable. The fries are also excellent. So, although I may die young of colon cancer from all the process meats I eat, or get extremely dehydrated as a result of all the salt I consume before flying, I always stop here when I am flying, and will definitely recommend it to anyone heading through ATL. read more

I frequently travel for work and Nathan's is one of my favorite places to get a hot dog. Atlanta is my home base, so I was very excited to see a Nathan's in the airport. Unfortunately, I will not be going here again. I have eaten here twice in the past two weeks during my travels and both times I have gotten hair in my food. The first time, I thought that it was a one-off thing, and I'm an understanding guy. I work in the food service industry. On my second visit (yesterday), the lady serving the food coughed into her arm (good), but she was wearing gloves while using her mobile phone (bad). The same gloves were used to prepare my food. The food safety practices are terrible at this location and I can only hope that not all Nathan's locations put such little emphasis on food safety. read more

I enjoyed my food. This is probably the best option in the airport for quick, convenient, and good. Service was quick, food was hot, and food was good. On top of that, they serve Pepsi instead of coke. Slight disappointment were the fries, even though they were hot and not greasy, I wish they were more crispy. I don't think I'll be eating at another Nathan's unless I'm at the original one in NYC. I like crispy fries and these were soggy. I know they meant to make them this way because you get this little red fork to pick them up and eat them with. I guess I'm just used to hot crispy fries not soggy fried potato wedges.
