Now when I tell you this place surpassed all of my expectations, IT BLEW THEM AWAY!!! From the ambience, to the exceptional kind and warming staff, to just the overall feeling you get when you sit here it is just phenomenal. And I know that's a very extravagant and huge word but genuinely this was such a great experience and I cannot wait to go again and actually try some of their wines because the food is just absolutely delicious. You can just tell that each and everything that is made here is done with such great care and expertise. This place has a great location for folks pre-gaming before events in the Fenway. They had a decent selection of wines, and a modest food menu if you come in a little peckish. The service was good, with attentive staff, making sure everything was OK and keeping the water glasses filled. My only criticism of the place is the price. Wine is very expensive by the glass and the bottle. I understand that's part of the vibe and business model, just want to point that out in my review. read more

First time here last night after wandering around Time Out. We didn't have reservations but they were able to seat us immediately. It's a small but efficient space. There are a few tables and the rest of the seating is either at the bar, or the stools at the window or lounge seating at the couch. We chose the bar which has more comfortable chairs than the window and better for eating than the couch. We finally came here because we recently saw their menu had quite a few food options that looked good. They had some specials too. We ordered the tostones crab salad with mango relish from the special menu, the chicken skewers, the fingerling potatoes and the beet salad. Everything was really good - I was actually pleasantly surprised and impressed by the quality and presentation of all the food - considering this is a wine place! As for the wine itself the hubs ordered a glass of one of the Australian wines which was smooth and fruity and he enjoyed it. The food comes out as it's ready. The beet salad had burrata cheese which was really great. We really enjoyed it. The chicken was tender came with potatoes and what seemed like radish slices. The fingerling potatoes were cooked perfectly tender tossed with herbs- mild flavors. The crab salad was the most unexpected- very delicate flavor finely shredded crab with strings of mango relish on top with side of tostones. Also really good. The place is cozy and looks cute with all the lights, and the huge windows with the lights outside. Great experience and we'll be back - hopefully they'll have new and interesting food options seasonally! read more

I have had different people for service every time and they have all been extremely welcoming, informational and just real. This place isn't just about vibes, it's about community. An excellent cozy nook for any occasion. The staff were very friendly, the wine was okay. Not a large selection for by the glass. The red snapper was good, very acidic and tart. The pear and radish gave a slight earthy balance. The black truffle agnolotti was creamy and rich with a nice difference in texture from the mushrooms. Such a lovely spot! Easy to make reservations and not crowded. The carrot cavatelli was a seasonal dish that's not on the menu anymore, but if it ever comes back, you NEED it. Nathalie is one of those spots that will be on my mind for a while. Service, drinks, food are 10/10. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine list and offered fantastic recommendations for me as a first time red wine drinker. He was super amicable yet maintained a professional demeanor. The food was incredible. The gnocchi with crab was to die for, the fried chicken skewers were some of the best I've had in the area, and the flourless chocolate cake was the most decadent mousse like cake ever. Have been here a few times prior to concerts at the MGM Music Hall and Fenway Park - mostly for the fantastic wine selection and service. Last week decided to try dinner as well. It is a small menu, but everything we had was fantastic: Beet Salad, marinated olives, Ribs and Steak Frites. Sat at the bar and there was plenty of space. Bartender was friendly, informative, and gave good recommendations. She even found time to talk music with us despite the packed bar. Visited nathálie's while in town and enjoyed my night out! It's a wine bar with an extensive wine menu, along with tasty bites. Definitely a fun vibe. I started with an aperol spritz and then continued the night by sharing a sparkling rosé. Both drinks were tasty! For food we ordered several bites - to start the bread with the thyme butter (yum!), the roasted broccoli which was tasty, the pumpkin gnocchi was definitely a favorite, and the potatoes. The bites were really tasty and fresh. A bit small on the portion size but good quality. For dessert, we went with flourless chocolate cake and banana bread. Both very decadent and tasty. read more

I came in 8 months pregnant and simply needed to use the restroom. My husband went to the bar to order a drink while I went to the bathroom. I was immediately stopped by a man with a short dirty-blonde Mohawk who told me, quite rudely, that the restroom isn't "open to the public." I explained that my husband was buying a drink, but he still tried to block me. My husband then told me to go ahead and use the bathroom. When I returned, what I believe was the owner was giving us dirty looks and whispering to the bartender. To top it off, the drink my husband ordered was terrible. We left shortly after, feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Their behavior was rude, confrontational, and totally unnecessary. There are plenty of other places with better service, better drinks, and better attitudes--we won't be returning. read more

Why go to a wine bar if you're not a huge fan of wine? Because the food and cocktails are amazing. The service here is great and the food is even better. The lamb lollipops were some of the best I've ever had. They do have a great selection of wine for those who enjoy a glass or two. The zucchini fries are a must. They've also got a handful of meat and cheeses. They've got indoor and outdoor seating (great for warm summer nights). Upon staying in Boston I wandered past this place on the way back to my hotel, and immediately wanted to make a point to visit while I was in town. I love a great wine bar, but a female owned and female focused natural wine bar- sign me up! When I made it back the following night, my first impression was it was LOUD, but either that changed during my visit or it wasn't an issue because it never bothered me again (I only say this in case someone has a similar first reaction; I'm glad it didn't deter me from leaving). Though it was pretty bumping for a Tuesday night, i was immediately seated at the bar and greeted. Normally I drink Chardonnay, but given the atmosphere I worked with the bartender to sample some different wines before landing on an interesting one that I might have never tried. They have some wines by the glass, but for the most part if a bottle was open it was available to buy by the glass at 1/4 the price per glass. I tried some really unique orange wines, and even purchased to bottles to take back to CA with me (and fyi, to go bottles are 25% off- can't beat that!) Food wise, for a starter I ordered the sautéed calamari which was really yummy, sauce and all. As an entree I got the flat iron steak, which was on the smaller side, but delicious nonetheless. Rude service, tacky decor, Nonsensical menu, over priced, fairly good food! I had a dreadful experience here. Our waiter was very peeved that I asked to try a wine (standard request if you're purchasing a bottle, no?). He was condescending about wine and then proceeded to explain the menu in a way that simply made no sense. The menu has tacky sexual innuendos which feel.. out of place and borderline distasteful for a pricey wine bar. For example the charcuterie section of the menu has a heading that says 'Tits and Ass'. Why? Who knows!! Once the food arrived it was actually quite delicious! For two bites that is, because the portions were microscopic. Compliments to the chef though! read more

The place is small but so super cute inside. Very chic!!! My friend and I had reservations, and I'd suggest getting them to ensure a spot. The staff are all incredibly friendly and attentive. I'd definitely go back just for the service. Being a wine bar, I was afraid that the food would be somewhat lackluster, but it was sooooo not. It blew me away actually, and I am craving both the brussel sprout dish and the pork belly dish. They were to die for and probably ... the best I've had in awhile of each type of dish. Both were so crispy and flavorful. I definitely would have eaten another of both. The wine was yummy too, but nothing to write home about. Just wine. Also, I found their wine menu to be extremely overwhelming and not user friendly ... ESP since I know very little about wine. Regarding the price, I'd say it's expensive. I loved this restaurant!! I came here as a party of two on a Friday night and quickly got a seat at the bar without a reservation. We initially weren't planning to get dinner here, but we were so drawn in after eating the brussel sprouts that we ended getting more food. I'm not big on wine, but I really enjoyed their wine selection and our server was so patient with us. Along with our drinks and brussel sprouts, we also ordered chicken, blue crab and gnocchi, and the lemon tart. Oh my goodness, all of these dishes amazed me. First, the chicken was prepared extremely well, it was juicy, evenly cooked, and the skin was perfectly crisp and salty. The truffle gravy was perfect to pair with this chicken and I only wish we got more. The blue crab with gnocchi was also delicious. It came as four mini "platters" I guess I would call it, and each bite was well curated. Again, the sauce really made this dish pop. Lastly we tried the lemon tart, which didn't have an overwhelming amount of lemon and the cream on top was so light. Overall, the atmosphere was very enjoyable and casual but dressy. Sitting at the bar was fun since we got to see our meals being prepped, and I am so happy we ended up eating dinner here. I would love to come back and try their other dishes! read more

As a wine connoisseur, I absolutey loved this wine bar. Right in the heart of Fenway (so yes as you can imagine parking can be tough). But, luckily for me my superpower is finding parking (lol). We were able to get street parking not too far away but in the dead heat it was pretty hot walking even 5 minutes to this place, but totally worth it in the end. If you know of Haley Henry wine bar in the downtown crossing area, this is their sister restaurant. Haley Henry has won all sorts of awards especially for best wine bar in Boston. As with nathalie I am not sure if they won any awards, but I will say the space is definitely bigger. Very similiar in food but they carry different wines, cocktails and beers. And, they mainly focus on small producers, organic and natural wines which is something that I am super passionate about. I started off with a glass of Chenin Blanc and my husband had a Pilsner. We also shared one of their larger Charcuterie boards...quite expensive for what you actually get so that was a bit disappointing but still very good. After a few more glasses of wine, olives and buying a branded t-shirt, I will say we enjoyed our time here tremendously. They do have an outdoor patio but it was way too hot to sit there. I am hoping to return in the future with some of my friends. Until then Cheers and I highly recommend this wine bar for sure! read more

I came in with a group of friends and they quickly made room for us and came to offer some wine options. They are definitely on the pricey side here, but the environment makes it worth it! We only tried wine here, but I'd love to come and try the food as well some day- it smelled amazing! Our server offered us a wine from New York and it was delicious! It was a crisp, bubbly white wine with a sweet apple taste. If you like sparkling wine, you definitely need to try this! WOW!! I am in medical profession, here to support staff at local hospitals. I am staying at Marriott property 400 paces from here. We came in at 9pm and were immediately made to feel at home. We were seated not at but near the bar (the restaurant is small in space but HUGE in service and satisfaction. I got the seared octopus with sweet potato mole. Again....WOW. The wine selection is second to nowhere I've ever been. And they were willing to work with me with a glass of something that wasn't on the by the glass menu. First time here and I loved the aesthetic, the service, and the overall experience. Everyone was very attentive and our server provided us recommendations for what wine we were feeling so we never had to look at the wine selection on the menu. His recommendations really hit the spot and he was very kind to switch up the suggestion when we didn't love the first suggestion. The mushrooms were a hit. They truly tasted like calamari and I was convinced I was eating seafood. Loved the environment, it was not too quiet or loud so you can still hear the conversation you're having without screaming or having it be awkwardly silent around you. A friend who lives in the neighborhood told me that there was a wine bar owned by a woman who focused on mainly offering wines grown or produced by women. I essentially responded with "Say no more fam". They aren't open on Sunday so we ended up going on Monday around happy hour. The bar itself was somewhat busy but we were the only couple situated at a table so it actually wasn't bad at all. The place is gorgeous. The natural lighting contrasted with the moody decor made it feel pretty luxe which I loved. Our server was so nice and informative. I really don't know very much about wine but I am a complete whore for champagne so I was happy that she helped us pick out a perfect bubbly and we ordered a few glasses of it. Additionally, it was the perfect balance in service. We didn't feel neglected or suffocated and had been taken care of the entire time. Our tab was a little steep but considering the entire visit, I had 0 problem with it. Definitely check it out if you want more of a unique wine bar experience. read more

We ordered the octopus which was minuscule, and the green beans were good but overpriced. Olives too. The chicken looked decently sized with an inspired sauce but a little dry. Overall, not the worst restaurant in Fenway but combination of poor service, overpriced food, and small portions makes this highly skippable. read more

What a great wine bar! I had a very enjoyable time this weekend at Nathalie Wine Bar. For me, this was a total 4 1/2 star experience. The wines on the menu were all very tasty and interesting. I posted some pics from the menu on my visit. There was nothing I knew on the menu ... but that did not matter, all the wait staff knew the menu well. I had a couple different servers take care of my party. They both made great recommendations. Nathalie's may be slightly on the pricier side, but not out of the range of what you would expect. It is also Boston, so there is that. The pours were good and fair. The service was exceptional, friendly and efficient, and again with strong wine knowledge. The decor and space are well decorated.
