I can't say enough good things about this dry cleaning business. The service is always exceptional, and the employees are some of the nicest people I've ever met. You can tell this place is run by truly honest, hard working folks. Just last week, I accidentally left my ring in the pocket of my uniform. Not only did they find it, but they made sure to return it to me right away. That kind of honesty is rare these days, and I'm incredibly grateful. I had a frustrating experience the same day before 11 AM.y I strongly advise you not to go there, especially if Nancy is working. She made a mistake on my ticket, and when I pointed it out to her, she assured me not to worry and that she would take care of it. However, when I went to pick up my clothes, they weren't ready, and she hadn't even changed the date on my ticket. So the day after Mother's Day I went here for floss and fold of my laundry on arrival of picking it up. Everything seem normal but the next morning when I go in to get my work clothes out of the bag, I noticed I was missing clothes on top of that almost all of my clothes was inside out folded backwards when I called the manager up and I told him I was missing clothes he said oh well there's nothing he could do about it, but it was more than just a few pieces. It was four pairs of pants missing and about four shirts and they won't replace them so my suggestion to whoever reads this message and decides to go there don't, find another location somewhere ! read more

I hate nothing more than a business that doesn't stick to their posted hours. The website and Yelp both say they are open on Saturday's until 6 pm. I got there at 5:40 pm to find the gate to the parking lot closed. I drove around the block and the open sign was hanging out, but after parking and making my way there, they were indeed closed. No note about a family emergency and other rationale. With gas as expensive as it is and having to waste it for a business that doesn't stick to their posted ours is rude to see the least and damn right annoying at best. I brought in a pair of slacks, a white button up shirt, a suit jacket, and two ties. The total of my dry cleaning was outrageously high for what had to be done. I also requested for my suit jacket button to be fixed because it was loosely hanging by a thread and it was not fixed. On top of everything they stole the hangars I had all of my items originally on. I am baffled by this establishment and will not bring my business there again after my first time experience. read more

The girl that works the front desk put holes in all of my clothes on purpose. My shirts are all limited edition artists prints that are no longer in production. She deliberately put safety pins through the back of my shirts instead of the neck line because I asked her to be careful to not put holes like she did last time. They are all visible. I asked for the owner and she told me he'd be in the next day and when I called to speak to him she said he was off that day, lied to me to get out of trouble. Owner will be in Monday now because he's out of town supposedly. I will be going in with my pictures and the shirts and all the safety pins she put in my shirts. She has horrible customer service and always has a horrible attitude and even yelled at me when I asked to speak to the owner. I'm sure the owner would be very upset if he knew how horrible her attitude is and how she sabotages his business on a daily. I told all of my friends in the area that have been going in there for years and they are all out too and all agree that she should not be working here. A lot of people complain about her and yet, she is still there because the owner has no idea what she's doing. I strongly advise to go elsewhere until this girl is fired. I've been a customer for over 10 years and unfortunately, not anymore. They have no idea how much business they've lost because of this girl. read more

First time using their service and I will not go back. 1) they change the price I was quoted at time of dropping my garment from $10 to $13 at time of pick up, not a big difference but not very trustworthy. 2) I took the garment an oversize wool scarf to be dry clean because it was put away for a while and it had a musky odor, at time of pick up first thing I did was smell it and the odor was not gone. They had only iron it because it look press, but definitely not dry clean very disappointed. I could not leave it because I had to take it to my mothers as birthday present that same day. The service here is STILL deplorable. Before COVID I had stopped coming here because of really bad service. After recently returning back to work I decided to give a second chance (mainly because it convenient) and it was ok for a couple of months until my last visit. I was treated Soooo poorly by this lady who spent so much time playing on her cell phone I was waiting several mins. After calling for her attention, she was the snottiest person I'd ever met. I typically have 35 shirts per month washed and pressed. And approximately 10 wool slacks for a month dry cleaned. Stop by here to get a price quote, as my cleaners closed up. Was given a price quote on shirts to be pressed. Then when I arrived with the shirts a week later price went up $.52 per shirt. Not very professional. I know it's only $.52 but when you do a lot of washing and dry cleaning for a month it really adds up. I walked out they lost my business. read more

I bought a cute pair of jeans with a 1 inch thick hem. Part of the style of the pant. I asked for the same 1 inch thick hem, and was assured it would be. I picked up my jeans, and they has a traditional hem. They cut the pants, so they can't be fixed anyway. All I got was a sorry in a low voice. And that it would take a few days to talk to a manager. They messed up my jeans And didn't do ANYTHING, NOT EVEN A REFUND FOR THE HEM. Do Not use them for alterations. read more

Before I wrote my review, I wanted to read some of the other reviews posted. I am lead to beleive that some, not all, but some reviews that put this business in a higher regard, are NOT legitimate reviews. This my second review with this business and I say this, beacuse my experiances, as well as my family members and friends have not been good at all. I will admit, I was a loyal customer for 20 plus years. The past couple of years, I've had spotty unpleasent interations with staff at both the PCH and Cherry locations. I've had items not well protected, stained in the cleaning process, buttons cracked, and clothing shrunk. I let it go, because I did'nt have the time or the knowledge to press forward with my dissatisfaction. Yesterday, was the last straw for me. I dropped off dry cleaning, including an embellished item that needed extra care. I received a call this morning at 10 am from Frank, informing me that my embellished item, could possibly be damaged in the dry cleaning process. That conversation went to the toilet. Hhile I appreciate the heads up, I get a call almost 24 hrs (they open at 7am) after I've dropped of my items to inform me of this and he does this apathetically. His hauutiness, and smugness in how he spoke to me ... frankly pissed me off! He basically dismissed me. When I asked for a contact to speak to someone superior to him, he said he could not give out a telephone contact He hand over the phone to Tommy, who identified himself as a supervisor. That did'nt go well, because as he tried to explain away,( in my opinon) serrvice promises made on the website, I now don't want National Cleaners to clean any of my things. He told me the process had already started and there was nothing he do. Well, Tommy, according to your website, you all dry clean combination and like garmets (suits, 2pc outfits, etc.) together to prevent fading of one object in the set. What say you? the bottom line is this, I will no long seek the services of National Cleaners (I have many other choices) and from what I've heard from other customers that I personally spoke to, some of them won't either. I hope the owners, the Galven family pays attention to these issues, because it's is too bad that a service used by many for many years is no longer reputable. I've been going here for years but now this place makes my stomach turn. Dropped my clothes on Thu morning and they advised they'd be ready 4pm Fri as usual. I call at 2:45 pm Fri as I am a block away just to see if it may be ready. Girl answers and explains 'NO' you can't pick it up before 4pm or else you get charged extra. I explain I am right here and I do not need clothes urgently but I am just driving by to check as i live in OC. Rude girl would not even check to see if it was ready. She even explains this is owners policy. WTF, are you kidding. i was not asking to make it ready, all I was asking was 'was it ready?. Turns out the rude woman is the owners daughter. It's no wonder this place has shitty reviews. When you have zero customer service, it doesn't take long before your business suffers. Maybe they should stop eating and getting lazy and fat and start reading some customer service books as they have absolutely no clue. Too bad. No more of my busine$$ for them. I have been coming to National Cleaners on PCH for over 12 years. Irene (owner) was a constant in my life always asking me how my family was and how I was doing. When my dad got sick last year she always made me feel like someone cared. Betty has also become a friend and always gives me good advice. Besides the personal touches I have always found they take good care of my suits and garments and I love that they have "true" same day service. Finally we found a great cleaner in area with reasonable prices, friendly service and convenient business hours. Since moving to LB from LA a few years ago we've tried several cleaners but National by far is the only one who lives up to our expectations. I brought in a jacket to get cleaned I was told if it had to be sent out it would be $20 but if not it would be a lot cheaper they were supposed to call me the next day to confirm if it was a send out or not ... they didn't call so I showed up at that time the jacket was in the back drying and I was notified that it didn't not have to be sent out to come back the next day to pick it up.... so today I pick up the jacket the clerk asked if they called me to tell me the exact price I said no but I written down everything I was told on the sales slip so he proceeds to ask "the manager" the price he comes back and says $20 I said I have it written here that $20 was a send out and this should be " a lot cheaper" the clerk said I was here that day and the other guy didn't know what he was talking about ..... so you stood there and let him talk to me for 10 mins in detail and you claim he didn't know what he was talking about... smdh apparently neither one of them know what they are talking about and I've had that jacket cleaned there before it has never been $20 but guess the clerk or "manager" needed a few extra dollars.... enjoy read more

Used them twice. The first time, the garment did not look clean when I got it back. Whatever, I'll give them a second shot. The second time I took my clothes there, I got the wrong clothes back. When I expressed my irritation at the experience the day I returned the items, I got an obligatory, but insincere apology with no offer to compensate for my irritation. If I could I would give zero stars. I am furious. I WAITED 30 MINUTES FOR SOMEONE TO SHOW UP. HOURS ARE POSTED 7am-7pm. Call the office and it says 7-7 on the voicemail. No one showed up til 7:30am. When I spoke to one of the people in the back a young man said he'd called the owner and she said her daughter was supposed to come open the store... When she did show up she had two dogs in her arms and hardly said any form of a real apology. When I finally retrieved my clothes she still asked me to pay the full amount. When I told her i though that this was unfair having had to wait as long as I did she said she couldn't authorize any discounts and had to call her manager. I threw a ten dollar bill on the counter and left. I WILL NEVER RETURN. I'll go the distance to cherry where the quality and service is better. Having read the previous comments I should have expected this, but with my optimism and the fact this place is within walking distance to my home I figured why the hell not. I'm disappointed and I admit I was not a pleasant customer this morning, but don't roll in to your business 30min late and not offer any compensation. read more

Prices are high for dry cleaning and workers definitely lack customer service. Only good thing is if you drop your clothes off before 10am or 11am you can pick it up the same day by 4pm. But if there's no rush, go elsewhere. read more
