We arrive and they said they can't take us. I had no air or time to go anywhere else. He recommended I go to the Farmington location because they're not as busy. He called someone named Ron and sent us there. They filled my tire with air to make it there. Shane looked at the tire and said it should be repaired because the damage was on the tread and not on the side. That was great news! My husband arrived and is told they actually can't repair it and would need to replace the tire. They didn't price match or discount anything; they also didn't use the same brand tires we have. They gave us an off-brand, generic tire and charged us for a name brand tire. I felt they knew we needed it repaired immediately, couldn't take it anywhere else, and took full advantage of the situation. I appreciate them taking us, but hustling people like this is dirty business. It shows poor integrity. I would not recommend this place to anyone nor come to any Belle Tire after the run around this evening. The following morning, my brand new tire had low air and my original three didn't. We had this same problem all winter. Very disappointing.

I've had a lot of tire issues with hitting pot holes, damaged tire rims. Today the tire gods smile upon me, and Belle Tire couldn't not have made it easier for me. I have had trouble with both back tires and on the day I was too sick to go to work, one was flat when I was heading to a doctor's appointment. Luckily I have a small air pump but had to blow up the tire to get there and get home. When I found out it wasn't COVID, I decided I had to replace those tires that was almost 4 years old. I took a picture of tire for size and got on their website to find some tires. I have been buying my own tires for 45 years now and have worked on cars almost as long. When their site recommended a different size, I was OK with that. I found a set in stock and made an appointment. That is when the trouble started. Tires not there but could get them later in the evening. Since I was waiting and had an appointment for a Heart MRI the next morning at 6:30 am, I agree to go with a higher price set. Next was I wanted the wrong size and the tech didn't believe it was their website mistake. Of course, they didn't have the 1st type and the ones I agree to was more. My appointment was at 3:30 PM and they didn't even start until 4:30 I waited until after 6 PM to get my car back. I did have them put the new tires on the front and the front on the back. Got blow back about that. Of, course their alignment check found a small alignment problem. I knew it being that small, nothing had to be done. I was treated like a woman who knew nothing about cars. While waiting I overheard one their employees explaining to 2 people he was showing around the waiting room how gets to be friends with his customers so he could up sale. I guess he must think everyone just listens to their phone and this old lady is one who digs deeper to find information for honest reviews.

Late last Fall we had them repair the air conditioning which was not cheap, but it never is. This year as soon as the weather was warm enough for AC we turned it on but it did not work. Then the blower went. Then something else went. Kirk's agreed to repair the AC under warranty so that is good. But when yet another thing broke we decided to go back to a trusted mechanic who quoted us $2,000 less than what Kirk's quoted. Sometimes, like Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey you just have to move on.

Me, my bf, & my mother in law have been going here I also have recommended several people to this business. We had no complaints what so ever. Last month tho something must have changed.. someone left and got a new.. better job knowing this place would be left in shambles when they left.. Last month we brought in an older car that needed work.. over christmas the car had a top to bottom inspection in order to purchase the car we needed to make sure it was okay to buy they said they could fix it and gave us a price. It was in the shop and back to us in a few days.. bill was expensive but basically what we anticipated.. within 100 miles of driving this car is back in the shop .... ANOTHER bill Thousands.. of dollars.. this car has literally been there for NINE DAYS Why wouldn't you Tell us when we dropped it off that there were over 70 cars ahead of this car?! Why didn't u tell us u were down two people?! we could have taken it somewhere else! Now we have an additional huge car bill because you ensured us this was a solid car now it has issues?? was your initial inspection okay?? Like just tell me u have no clue what you are even doing!!

    Several years ago Hal's Automotive was recommended to me by a neighboring specialty shop that was…read moreunable to install new breaks on my car. The caveat to the recommendation was, Hal's was being acquired by Detroit Garage and their recommendation was Hal's NOT under the new ownership. Subsequently, I was pleased with Hal's for a few years, services centered around brakes and oil changes. Fast forward, and I took my son's car to Hal's for an oil change. From the start, I noticed something different about the shop - no one was in the waiting area and not a lot of activity in general. I had a 09:00am appointment for an oil change. I was told no more than 1 hour. I left to take a walk. Upon my return at 10:15am, service was not done. In the meantime, a representative from Detroit Garage came in to talk to the service manager. It was clear, the visit was about metrics and staffing. Seems a number of folks left and they were under-staffed and not making their metrics and had a lot of issues with that location. Around 11:00am, the person at the front desk was aware my patience was thinning. He explained the tech could not get the air filter off. RED FLAG. At 11:30am, the car was finally ready - that means 2.5 hour for a SCHEDULED oil change. I left in a rush. About 1 hour later, the shop called. The tech forgot to put the lug nut caps on and asked if I could come back so they could put them on. 2nd, trip and more of time. OK, I went and grabbed the box and said I would do it myself. RED FLAG. Later in the day, I noticed oil on and around the door handle. Later found oil on the door rocker bar and the floor matt. What a mess. I called the shop to explain what I discovered and shared my overall poor experience. The person on the phone assured me they would refund the oil change, would waive service fee for the next oil change and would clean the car. I told them, thank for for that, but I would clean the car because I was not coming back a 3rd time and also already started to clean the affected areas. Of course, 15 minutes later, I received a call and voicemail that they would require photos. So, yet another inconvenience to me on top of a horrible overall experience for what was supposed to be a simple oil change. To top things off, they never sent me a customer feedback survey which was historically their practice - I guess you don't receive one if you experience issues so they can control the narrative and reviews. After a few weeks, I reviewed by credit card statement - no refund. Sorry to see Hal's go and be replaced by Detroit Garage / corporate.
