So I did a little searching online and found out that replacing a Prius key fob is expensive as hell! And it involves a locksmith who can cut the key and program the remote control to work with my specific vehicle. So I submitted a request on Yelp and got responses from several locksmiths including Continental locks. The price they quoted was about the lowest I received, around $200. And the locksmith was available to come out the same day so I went ahead and took a chance. Very glad I did! He worked very carefully for about 45 minutes or so and got a brand new key fob and spare door key cut that work perfectly in my vehicle. No more worrying about losing the original key fob! Highly recommend Continental locks and the locksmith was friendly and personable and responsive to text messages.

Can't say enough about these guys. They said they would be here at 12 noon. When I saw the white van pull into the driveway; instinctively I looked up at the clock. It was funny because I saw it go from 11:59 to 12:00 sharp. I felt bad because as far as weather being an issue, the timing was bad. It rained the entire time they were on the job. They had to be in it because they were re-keying the ignition of my truck. These guys did not complain or show any signs of discomfort from these conditions. I came out to ask if there was anything I could do to help. As he predictively declined my offer, the wind was blowing the downpour of rain almost sideways. I lost my keys to the lock on a storage unit. Called National Security Locks. Rick meet me over at the the storage unite. We checked in with management then within 10 minutes or less they opened the old lock without cutting anything. They did it so fast i was shocked. The "locksmith" who came was unable to get into my house without breaking the lock and then wanted over $400.00; we agreed on the amount of $396.00, which I paid with my VISA credit card. The "locksmith" was unable to rekey the lock to work with my existing key, so I had to pay a legitimate locksmith to replace the lock mechanism. This service and I agreed on February 5, 2025, that I would remove the dispute with my credit card company once the company refunded $208.00 of the amount charged ($396.00). I was told that I would get this refund in "three to five business days." The company texted me on Feb. 10: "OK. We will take care of it. I will send you [a] screenshot confirmation of the refund" of the $208.00 agreed upon. It is now February 28, and I am still getting stonewalled. This is a complete scam!!!

They charge the $29 week days and weekends, and no, you can't put it towards the cost of fixing the lock. Okay, so after he leaves, it turns out he broke the lock, and I'm locked into my house now. I call, and the tech returns within about five minutes. (Coincidentally, he was just down the street having installed a new lock on a neighbor's door, so that was quick!) Within about 15 minutes, he replaced the lock mechanism in the door with a brand new one, and the key and the lock now work as good as new. Happy ending. (Except for the cost, which is ridiculous!)

I was desperate and worried because I needed to make sure my house would be secure because I had to go to work the next day, but being that it was the evening of Halloween, I was worried nobody would be available to fix it at all. I contacted Yael about it and he was quick to respond and he came out that evening to work on my lock. Apparently there was too much damage inside the lock so it needed to be replaced and my door frame had issues as well. He was able to do a temporary fix so that it could give me time to purchase a new lock, yet keep my house secure. Yael came back a few days later after I chose the lock I wanted and installed it for me.
