Owner Natalie sharing a barrel tasting. The vibe and energy are authentic. Wines are delicious, pure, and natural.

Just a heads up I am an amateur wine drinker! I've dropped by the Wildflower winery on multiple occasions and each time I had a great time. I've tried their Grenache and roses and so far I have been very satisfied with the choices I've selected. I will say the menu is smaller than other menus I've seen. The business itself is small and super picturesque. I like how intimate it is where I can have a glass of wine and read a book. Service has been great as well both owners are helpful.

I visited during their Grand Opening on Sunday afternoon and I got to try the majority of their wines. I like them all, particularly the red and rose Grenache. It was a nice place to chill with friends for the afternoon and it seemed very kid friendly. Their 2021 Grenache was the first Grenache I've tried and it was delicious. It is a unique wine and definitely something I will be coming back for.

Fell in LOVE with this little tasting room the first time I stepped inside! Tasted the wines and it was all over after that! I feel like family when I come in! Wine Club is awesome too ;) currently sipping on a bottle now

Tasting: $15 (return flight $9, because sometimes one flight is not enough)…read more Wonderful wines and awesome customer service sum up what this family owned/operated winery is all about. Two sisters (Elissa & Holly) married two brothers (Matt & Mike) and started this weekend project which has turned into quite a fun weekend escape. Elissa and her father, Walt, are usually manning the tasting room and are the most gracious hosts. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Trois le Fou Winery. They each have their own tasting rooms, but they're joined and share a large production/barrel room area, which is also available for private events in addition to scheduled events and live music/comedy. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks/charcuterie. Parking is plentiful, as the business park is mostly closed on the weekends. WINES: Their wines change regularly, as they purchase their fruit from Paso Robles, Lodi, and San Antonio Valley, among other places. I think that their Sauvignon Blanc is a standard and we really enjoy it, but they also do a nice Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their "Speakeasy Wine Club" offers three levels of membership: "Blind Grape (6/yr)", "Bootlegger (12/yr)", and "Last Call (18/yr)", depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. Bottles currently run in the $38 - $50 range (before club member discounts). We love visiting the Lester Cellars family and highly recommend you stop in and check out their latest vintages. The service and wine are wonderful, and I'm betting you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do.

Been here many times and it's definitely one of our favorites. However, this was our first visit in…read moreover a year and this experience just wasn't quite the same. Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

Tasting: $20 (waived with $40 wine purchase per tasting, or club membership)…read more We're wine club members, and regular visitors to the Trois le Fou tasting room in Ventura. It's owned and operated by three retired engineers, Paul, Alan, and Tim, and they make wonderful Rhone and Bordeaux style wines from Paso Robles fruit. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Lester Family Cellars. WINES: Their wines are made in a Rhone and Bordeaux style with two club releases per year (Spring and Fall) with such varietals as Grenache, Mourvédre, Syrah, Petite Sirah, GSM blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Folle Cuvée blends, Merlot, and Merlot Reserve. It's not often that we like every single wine that we try. Their wine club offers "Looney" (4/yr), "Demented" (6/yr), and "Maniac" (12/yr) level memberships, depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. They specialize in French varietals and produce great Bordeaux and Rhone style wines in addition to their Chardonnay. I personally enjoy all of their wines, but my very favorite is their 100% Mourvèdre. I love it, but also really enjoy their GSM, Bordeaux Blend, and Chardonnay. This winery was founded by three friends, Paul, Ada, and Tim who were crazy enough to start a winery as their second career. Therefore the name Trois Le Fou or the three fools in French. I don't think it was such a crazy idea since their wines are really good. The tasting room is not too big, but they also have a very nice barrel room with additional sitting were special events are hosted. Whenever we visit the tasting room we are always greeted by friendly faces and generous pours. Service and quality are constantly stellar at Trois Le Fou. The tasting room is located in a business park, so there is plenty of parking space. Another perk is that Lester shares their barrel room space with another boutique winery, Lester Family Cellars, so you can visit two wineries without leaving the premises! If you are in Ventura and you are looking for a great wine experience, visit Trois Le Fou. You will not be disappointed.

I've been part of the Wine & Spirits industry since 2012 on an off and more recently back on + Herzog is one of the best and oldest kosher wineries in the world. Joseph Herzog is an amazing man and the VP of HWC, I met him a few times in the past but it's been YEARS. One of my favorite draws about Herzog overall is that's is 100% vegan friendly as well as kosher, making it suitable for so many people. And Tierra Sur is very vegan friendly - some dishes are vegetarian. Do let they know about allergies and restrictions and they'll do their absolute best to accommodate. Parking was plentiful and spacious, the weather was lovely (not raining), and the space is beautiful! Upon entering everyone is very friendly and I was able to find the table easily. Both Alvin and EJ were very attentive to our table, always smiling bright and happy to see us, assuring that we had everything we needed, and made sure our taste testing went smoothly. We were given a wine list and we were able to choose six wines to wine taste from the list. My absolute favorite wines were between the Special Reserve Merlot 2023 Alexander Valley and the Sonoma Loeb Dignitary Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma. These were both excellent and smooth, however, ALL the wines that I taste tested were phenomenal. We also ordered the garlic fries, the buffalo chicken sandwich, and the Mushroom Arancini. I personally loved the Mushroom Arancini the most, very flavorful and perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken sandwich was a good portion and easy to share. The garlic fries did not taste very garlicy to me, the creamy sauce on top I wasn't sure if that was supposed to be garlic, but I probably would just get the regular fries next time. Don't forget to take your photo next to the Herzog wine barrels before you leave!
