Morgan and Aiden are awesome . We stoped in after an event to grab a glass of wine but stayed for two. Staff is just so friendly and welcome ! Cute spot . Booth and stool seating at the bar. Smash Bros , a popular smash burger vendor was there . We had already ate otherwise we would've bought a burger . We didn't become members but my friend did consider it LOL! We really enjoyed our time and will be back. Parking situation wasn't the best but we found parking a block over and walked.

Shoutout to Jess B. for introducing me to Muni Wines. I'd been eager to try this new spot since they've opened and my friend Jess has been a long time supporter of their SB site that she brought me along for a wine flight tasting with her. We had the best time as the wines are stellar, the staff so sweet, and the vibes are just all around good. We came in on a weeknight around 6pm and it was the perfect atmosphere. There were definitely a good amount of people here for a weeknight but it also wasn't so crowded that we couldn't find a seat at the bar and the staff had enough time to be able to chat with us. It was honestly perfect for my first time introduction as I know they are already getting so popular on the weekends or when they have food pop ups, rightfully so. Jess introduced me to Rhiannon and Aunie. These two ladies are absolute baddies and know their wine! They made me feel right at home as a newbie and I learned a lot from listening to them talk about the wines and some of the wine making processes. We love passionate queens who are also just so humble and just kind. Service here was absolutely a 5/5. The atmosphere inside is very relaxed and comfortable. Despite it being a big space with high ceilings and open tables/layout, once you are inside it feels very cozy and laid back. I love that you can hear yourselves talk and converse, no loud music or unnecessary frills. We also love that this spot is dog friendly! We got to meet so many well behaved and sweet doggies. An extra bonus. The wines here honestly are pretty fabulous. While everyone knows I'm no wine expert I trust my friends and a few have already promised me that this spot has great wine and that became apparent during my visit. I liked that the selection was pretty diverse, they had range which I appreciated, whites - rose - reds - and an orange wine. For me this is ideal as I am still learning and wanting to taste a little bit of everything. Every sip I tried was really good and I'd have to say this was one of the best wine tastings I've had where I liked the majority of the wines. For me not being a big fan of reds, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious their red blend was. I liked that it would taste good room temperature or chilled. I liked it so much I had to grab a bottle. For me to buy a red is a big deal lol so I'm telling you it was GOOD GOOD. My other favorites of the night were their rose and orange wine. Honestly everything was tasty though. I had a really fabulous time here and am already excited to come back soon. I know Muni is new to Ventura so I definitely want to get the word out there that this is a spot you must try! Friendly staff, delicious wines, a great wine club and overall just feel good happy vibes. I have no doubts that this spot will continue to grow and get a massive following as they are off to an amazing start.

Huge, beautiful space on the avenue! We did the wine tasting with 5 (generous) pours - my absolute favorite was the 'you got this' Riesling. It was surprisingly not sweet and very crisp and refreshing. Second favorite was the 'kook old vine Zinfandel'. Staff was friendly and they have snacks available for purchase plussss fun food popups (I want to come back for a dumpling night!). We found street parking and walked over a short half block.

~ A FANTASTIC ADDITION TO THE VENTURA WINE SCENE - THE NEXT HOT SPOT! ~ Muni is exactly what Ventura's wine scene has been missing- a place that caters to young professionals, families, and anyone looking for a more modern vibe. I've been a member at a few local wineries, but they've always seemed more suited for an older crowd (45+). So I was stoked to learn that Muni, which I've loved in Santa Barbara, was opening in Ventura. The service is always top-notch, and the vibes are consistently on point. There's a wine for everyone at Muni- whether you're a wine enthusiast or just casually sipping. Their sparkling rose, Riesling, and "Good Job" bright red are perfect for those who prefer lighter flavors, while the Grenache and "Make the Time" dark red are great options for bold wine lovers. I wasn't as into the more natural wines (sediment just isn't for me), but I know many people who appreciate that style. The Ventura location is beautiful and much larger than their SB spot, with plenty of seating and a really great atmosphere. I'd love to see more of the quirky, funky, and unique decor I loved in SB make its way to here- it's one of the things that set them apart from other tasting rooms. If you get the chance to have Dave (the owner) or Rhiannon pour your wine, consider yourself lucky- they are amazing people. Becoming a member is definitely worth it, there are some awesome perks. I'll be seeing you here every other weekend ;)

What a great addition to the neighborhood!! I like it so much I joined the club and became a member. They have a really cool laidback ambiance with snacks for purchase. Cheese and meats among other goodies. Plenty of seating and even some arcade games and a connect four. I've been here 3x and have had great service each time.

Came here last night and Lucy was sooo good with the recommendations, I'm a little unfamiliar with wines but she was so approachable and welcoming with my questions. Super cute in there everyone is so nice! Will definitely be coming back

Cool winery to check out…read more The staff are older, friendly enough. The red wines are really tasty. I love the private-ish tables. I mean you're close enough to hear your neighbors, but still have a sense of privacy with a nice view of the vineyard. Even though it was hot outside, underneath the canopy it was nice.

Customer service was still great, but I noticed a few changes that took away from the experience for us personally. I do like that the tastings are no longer in the plastic tubes, although the tubes did feel like they held a little more wine. What we didn't enjoy was that when multiple people ordered the same tastings, they were placed into the same shared glass/container. In our party of four, three of us had the same six tastings and had to share. I appreciated the bow on the glass showing the pours, but I preferred the previous setup where everyone had their own individual tastings. It may seem small, and thankfully our group was fine sharing, but it made the experience feel less personal and honestly made us less interested in doing tastings again on future visits. Some people also may not feel comfortable sharing containers or touching the same glass. Nothing terrible at all, just some feedback from longtime visitors who loved how it used to be. On this visit we actually ended up ordering a bottle afterward instead, and moving forward we'll probably just continue doing that rather than the tastings.

And we ordered the chefs charcuterie board. The charcuterie board was delicious! The bread was warm and obviously homemade. All the different cheeses tasted fresh and there were also candied walnuts which were fantastic. I was really impressed by their wine dispensers and how many varieties they had of different selections. I think overall we tried 4-6 different wines for less than $40. The ambiance of the inside reminds me a little bit of Squidwards house (but in a good way) with a high arched ceiling and classical decor. I would love to come back and try their other food and sample more wine.

Last December, a friend came across The Cave while looking for a place to have lunch in Ventura and…read moresuggested we give it a try. I'm really glad he did because it's the kind of place I probably wouldn't have found on my own. The first thing that caught our attention was the self-serve wine dispensers lined with bottles ready to sample. We had a lot of fun walking back and forth, looking over the different selections, and deciding what to taste next. Being able to sample wines by the ounce before committing to a full glass made the whole experience feel interactive. I especially liked that I could compare different Cabernet Sauvignons side by side, which isn't something you get to do very often. After trying a few different Cabernets, Chimney Rock ended up being my favorite. The dining room added to the experience. The cave-like ceilings, warm lighting, and comfortably spaced tables made it easy to settle in, enjoy our lunch, and catch up without feeling cramped or rushed. If you enjoy trying different wines, it's easy to lose track of time here. We started with a cheese plate, which turned out to be much more generous than I expected. It came with a nice assortment of cheeses, crisp apple slices, grapes, candied walnuts, crostini, and a savory relish on the side. It was a great dish to share with our wine. My friend ordered the tuna poke tower, and we shared the cheese flatbread and sweet potato fries. I went with the Original Cave Salad with salmon, which came with a generous piece of perfectly cooked salmon over fresh greens, apples, grapes, walnuts, and blue cheese. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous enough that we left completely satisfied. One thing I appreciated was that we never felt rushed. Lunch naturally turned into an afternoon of catching up, comparing notes on the different wines, and deciding which pours we wanted to try next. Before we left, we wandered through the wine shop one more time. If you discover a favorite during lunch, you can pick up a bottle before heading home, which is a nice touch. I'm really glad my friend found this place. The next time I'm in Ventura, it'll definitely be on my list again.

If you know me, then you already know... this is my happy place…read more I don't even know where to begin because this place has become so much more than a tasting room to me. Majestic Oak is my happy place. Seriously. The second I walk downstairs, I instantly relax. I don't know what it is... maybe it's the red umbrellas, the beautiful greenery, the cozy little patio, or just the overall atmosphere. I close my eyes for a second, take a deep breath, and it honestly feels like I've escaped into my own little world. I come here about once a month, and there's a reason I became a wine club member. Yes, the location is absolutely beautiful, but let's talk about the wine... every. single. one. has been amazing. I'm usually more of a red wine girl, but even their whites have surprised me. They're crisp, refreshing, and just plain delicious. I honestly haven't had a wine here that I didn't love. But what really keeps me coming back is the people. Rita deserves the biggest shout-out. It's not just that she takes amazing care of us every time we visit. It's her personality. Her knowledge. Her passion for the wines. She makes you feel like you've been friends forever, and somehow every visit feels even more special because she's there. She has this way of making everyone feel welcome, and that kind of hospitality is something you can't teach. For me, Majestic Oak isn't just somewhere to drink wine. It's where I go to slow down, breathe, laugh, and enjoy life for a little while. It has become my home away from home, and I honestly can't imagine a month going by without stopping in. If you're anywhere near Ojai, do yourself a favor and visit. Come for the wine... stay because you'll probably fall in love with everything else too. One last thing... we stopped by today, as usual, and Kristy took such incredible care of us! She was so welcoming, attentive, and made our visit just as memorable. It reminded me that the amazing service here isn't just one person; it's the culture. Every visit leaves us feeling like family, and that's something truly special. (Oh... and if you see Bruce, make sure you say hi! He's the sweetest little furball and just might steal your heart before your first sip of wine. ) Thank you, Majestic Oak, for creating a place that truly feels... Majestic.

On a Thursday night it was pretty dead but we didn't mind, WE ARE the party! The restaurant/ bar is surprisingly spacious which wasn't outright apparent from the outside. Once you walk in there is a nice long bar on the right hand side. A couple of booths and plenty of tables. It was actually a lovely evening (plus our group gets loud & rowdy) so we decided to sit outside on the high top patio table. It was perfect as it could fit the seven of us no problem. Initially i worried how service would be as we were alone on the patio but immediately my concerns went away as we had a fabulous bartender named Jordan helping us out. Despite making the drinks inside and engaging with customers at the bar, he was very attentive to our outside patio group. The drinks were brought out at an impressive pace and we felt valued as customers. Jordan gave great suggestions for shooters for us to try and also was overly accommodating, by allowing us to all pay separate/individual checks per our request. I grow to appreciate that more nowadays because some businesses do give patrons a hard time about splitting tabs. I was grateful despite being a big group he was willing to accommodate us. We only came for drinks, so I can't speak for the food but this spot is a solid bar. They have some interesting cocktails and I liked that they had a couple of shooter/shot options. Good selection of beer and even some wines. I really enjoyed both my Mexican candy shot and the purple heater shot that Jordan recommended for me and a friend. Drinks were cold and they kept flowing. Easy to give this spot 5 stars as the service was good, atmosphere was welcoming, and reasonable prices for being on Main Street. I'd definitely come back and would be happy to try some appetizers next time to see how the food is. My only baby upgrade is that the patio cushions on the chairs need a good wash or to be replaced. Otherwise everything else was clean from the tables, to the bar area, to the restrooms etc. The patio just needs a tiny bit of TLC which a couple of us noted. We had a great experience here though and I'm glad we stumbled upon this spot.

Two sisters (Elissa & Holly) married two brothers (Matt & Mike) and started this weekend project which has turned into quite a fun weekend escape. Elissa and her father, Walt, are usually manning the tasting room and are the most gracious hosts. It's a quaint, boutique winery and tasting room, which recently joined forces with the folks from Trois le Fou Winery. They each have their own tasting rooms, but they're joined and share a large production/barrel room area, which is also available for private events in addition to scheduled events and live music/comedy. They don't offer food, but you are welcome to bring in your own snacks/charcuterie. Parking is plentiful, as the business park is mostly closed on the weekends. WINES: Their wines change regularly, as they purchase their fruit from Paso Robles, Lodi, and San Antonio Valley, among other places. I think that their Sauvignon Blanc is a standard and we really enjoy it, but they also do a nice Sangiovese, Zinfandel, Malbec, Syrah, Petite Sirah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their "Speakeasy Wine Club" offers three levels of membership: "Blind Grape (6/yr)", "Bootlegger (12/yr)", and "Last Call (18/yr)", depending on the number of bottles you want per shipment/pick-up. Bottles currently run in the $38 - $50 range (before club member discounts). We love visiting the Lester Cellars family and highly recommend you stop in and check out their latest vintages. The service and wine are wonderful, and I'm betting you'll enjoy yourself as much as we do.
