The Majestic Oak showcases well crafted wines from the local growing regions. They have a delightful Secret Garden outdoor patio with plenty of shade. The servers are so knowledgeable about the tasting notes and origins of all their wines. They offer an accessible wine tasting experience that's enjoyable for both wine enthusiasts and a first time wine tasting encounter. Majestic Oak features Rhône varietals such as Syrah, Grenache and a lesser known Cinsault. We are members of their wine club because of the quality of their wines and the value. The rich reds that we selected were sourced from local Ojai vineyards as well as the best of the Santa Barbara County growing regions. They also offer beautiful white wine varieties that call for a summer picnic or garden party. We loved the Bruce's Rose that celebrates their mascot, Bruce. Highly recommend for the quality of their wines and for the wine tasting experience.
Majestic Oak Winery is a solid, easygoing spot for a casual tasting. Service was good overall and the staff was friendly, though they weren't especially knowledgeable when it came to the wines which made the experience feel a bit more surface level. One thing to note is there's a very cute and friendly cat on the property. It definitely adds to the charm but worth keeping in mind if you have allergies. The outdoor space fills up pretty quickly, but we were able to move once another table opened up. They won't split tastings, but they will give you an extra glass if needed which is helpful. It wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but there also wasn't anything to complain about. Overall a nice spot to relax and enjoy a laid-back afternoon, just don't expect a super in-depth tasting experience.

Quiet place at happy hour in a Tuesday....but hey we had ge place to ourselves! Tgeres indoor and outdoors....i loved my glass of red wine. I was offered a tasting before i selected which was so nice. The grape wines were greening and lived the cute sign that lured me down into the cellar!

Great place to grab a relaxing glass of wine. I was greeted by very friendly staff members and sat indoors with their resident cat "Bruce". We had the flight which was great and more affordable than other flights in the area. Halfway through our tasting one of the staff members asked us if we would like to move outside to a nice shady spot that had just opened up. We jumped on that offer. And I though that was really a great example of above and beyond service. Location is nice because you can go grab small bites or try different bar/wineries all within walking distance. TIP: Try the wine flight, its a great deal.
Great place to enjoy a glass of wine, patio is magical and set below the main street. We got a bottle of wine and it was very good. The disappointment came when we ordered kettle chips off the menu and expected fresh chips but instead were given a small bag of store bought chips.
After strolling the shops around downtown my partner and I stumbled across this wine tasting room. You walk down a small flight of stairs directly into a cozy patio with a good amount of tables in the front and additional seating in the back. For the wine tasting it was only $20 and you get to sample about 5 different wines. Such a great deal in my opinion. Our server was awesome and she broke down each wine to us as she poured our glasses. Ended up having one of the best sauv blancs here. Definitely returning on my next Ojai visit!
Great outdoor seating, dog friendly! We got so lucky with the weather and was able to sit outside under the trees. We ordered the flight for $20 which included 5 red wines for us to sample. The server gave a quick intro of the wine each time. There's probably other wine bars with fancier wines but we liked this place for the seating and price point. Would recommend!
I had a great experience here. I had taken my mom to do wine tasting and first time being in Ojai I'm glad I chose this one. The service was great as well as the wines. The only issue we had was that we kept walking by it and missing the sign to the vineyard. If you aren't familiar with Ojai, in my opinion you can easily miss it. lol it actually goes downstairs from the street so it's not obvious. However when you do arrive, it's a really cute spot full of trees and outdoor seating. We tried a flight and the server broke each of them down. It's a relaxing environment. We came in a Saturday afternoon so I am not sure how full it gets in the evening but we definitely will be back.
Great atmosphere! I went with my group of 6. The two ladies who own and operate are just lovely. They let us pick where we wanted to sit, and each time they brought out a new wine for us to try and taste. She was very knowledgeable about the wine, answered all of our questions, and even more. The wine was super flavorful and delicious. The price point was also really amazing. I would definitely recommend coming here when you visit Ojai. I will definitely be back!
My friend and I sort of stumbled upon this place walking down the street, it was so inviting! We sat outside among a beautiful big fig tree and did the wine flight which included 5 wines - 1 white and 4 reds. We may've already been a little tipsy from wine tasting down the street, but from what I recall, we enjoyed them all! There is a resident cat named Bruce who was curled up on a chair inside and they even have stickers made in his honor - what a cute touch. Next time we're in Ojai we'll definitely go back.
Great customer service. Got a wine tasting for 20 bucks. Not a bad price. My friends did not like any of their reds but I thought they were ok. Cute place. Cat roaming everywhere in and out where they serve the wine in the back. Cat food and stuff around the bottles. I love pets, dogs are my fave but I don't like them around what I'm about to consume especially ... especially at a winery or restaurant. One my biggest pet peeves lol. I know people love taking their pets to restaurants too just not a fan of that either unless a service dog. I just see pet hairs flying everywhere and it's just eekk. Oh and the non stop barking .. lol. Alright back to the review- Cute place and def had a great time with the friends. It's ok. 3.Sorry not a cat hater, promise. Also, wines were not the best.

If you know me, then you already know... this is my happy place. I don't even know where to begin because this place has become so much more than a tasting room to me. Majestic Oak is my happy place. Seriously. The second I walk downstairs, I instantly relax. I don't know what it is... maybe it's the red umbrellas, the beautiful greenery, the cozy little patio, or just the overall atmosphere. I close my eyes for a second, take a deep breath, and it honestly feels like I've escaped into my own little world. I come here about once a month, and there's a reason I became a wine club member. Yes, the location is absolutely beautiful, but let's talk about the wine... every. single. one. has been amazing. I'm usually more of a red wine girl, but even their whites have surprised me. They're crisp, refreshing, and just plain delicious. I honestly haven't had a wine here that I didn't love. But what really keeps me coming back is the people. Rita deserves the biggest shout-out. It's not just that she takes amazing care of us every time we visit. It's her personality. Her knowledge. Her passion for the wines. She makes you feel like you've been friends forever, and somehow every visit feels even more special because she's there. She has this way of making everyone feel welcome, and that kind of hospitality is something you can't teach. For me, Majestic Oak isn't just somewhere to drink wine. It's where I go to slow down, breathe, laugh, and enjoy life for a little while. It has become my home away from home, and I honestly can't imagine a month going by without stopping in. If you're anywhere near Ojai, do yourself a favor and visit. Come for the wine... stay because you'll probably fall in love with everything else too. One last thing... we stopped by today, as usual, and Kristy took such incredible care of us! She was so welcoming, attentive, and made our visit just as memorable. It reminded me that the amazing service here isn't just one person; it's the culture. Every visit leaves us feeling like family, and that's something truly special. (Oh... and if you see Bruce, make sure you say hi! Majestic Oak Vineyard was one of the highlights of our trip to Ojai! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere. The Sauvignon Blanc was delicious. We also ordered the Dirty Boy Cabernet and that was good too. It was full bodied and strong. We were seated upstairs on a long table that accommodated 11. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect place to slow down, sip great wine, and enjoy the scenery. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and never made us feel rushed. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing afternoon, Majestic Oak Vinyard is definitely worth a visit. We had such a wonderful experience and can't wait to come back the next time we're in Ojai. Highly recommend! read more

This place is amazing!! We did the wine tasting for $20, so much good wine for a great price. Me and my gfs loved everything we got. Highly recommend for anyone coming through who wants to try local and tasty wine. They have a couple snacks on the menu but no meals. read more
During our trip to Ojai my husband and I stopped by for some wine tasting. We tasted five wines and honestly didn't like any of them. We were hoping to purchase a few bottles after our tasting but we didn't. The ambiance is nice, the employees are wonderful We enjoyed our time here. read more
Tucked away downstairs off the Main Street, we were passing by as two women were on their way out. Me and my two friends were in the middle of discussing where we should do our tasting when one lady said "this one is really cute" then the one behind her said "it was a vibe" so we went down the stairs. You have to wait to be seated. The man who came over led us to a corner area next to the fig tree. He dropped off some menus that we really didn't even need cos we knew we were doing the tasting with no food items since we literally had just eaten. We were lucky that we got seated in the courtyard. The 3 groups we ended up surrounded by were the coolest people. It was like a mini party in our corner. The tasting had 5 servings. My favorite was the viognier. The last two reds were so strong, for me anyway. My friend ended up getting a candle cos she loved the one burning in the bathroom. read more
Always a lovely experience. They space is great both inside and outside seating. We did the wine tasting the pours were well spread out and your server was knowledgeable. They do not have small plates but they do have snacks and you can bring your own snacks as well. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine. read more

During our recent Anniversary trip to Ojai we decided to do some wine tasting upon entering town. Majestic Oak had come recommended to me by a couple different parties and I had them down on a small list of places to try while in town and they did not disappoint. While I am not a huge fan of wine and have no clue whether or not I prefer whites or reds this was definitely on the shortlist of places to try while in town to see what stood out for me. You really can't come to Ojai without sampling wine at one of the many wine rooms throughout town and they have numerous to choose from. Majestic Oak is tucked right off the main street and sits down stairs near Libbey Park. The outdoor courtyard is beautiful and quaint and the service from the sommeliers was great throughout. All of the wines were pleasant but the last two we tried were my least favorite and were both dark reds (Triple L D and Syrah) . They both featured tobacco as part of their flavor profile and I am not sure if it was that or something else but they were very potent to me with a strong aftertaste. My favorites overall were the Pinot Gris and the Granache and the Viognier was also quite nice. Overall we were here for just under and hour or so and had a great time just being out and trying something new. We also ended up checking out a neighboring winery as well which I will also review in the coming days. After all was said and done I liked at least one red and one white so I still have no idea what I like best but I definitely enjoyed trying them all out and would definitely come back again the next time we are here to try some more offerings. If you are looking for a qualify winery with some great options and a calm outdoor atmosphere then this may just be the place for you. read more
Merry Christmas!! Wait...not yet. For the last day of this year Thanksgiving weekend, we decide to make good use of it because i have not taken a break since i joined my current company since May. We started off with a late brunch and then we headed to a not so distanced small wine town. Ojai. Right after we arrived, we were intrigued by the relaxing scenery and good selection of wineries. Wish we can try them all out but time was limited. Out of all of them, we picked Majestic. The first thing that caught our eyes was the natural looking outdoor patio. The low hanging lights and the trees give the patio a great feeling. Me and my GF both went for the tasting option. For $20 and we got to taste all 5 of their offering. For wine newbie like us, it is very helpful they listed the flavor characters for each wine on the menu. It was quite fun slowly feel out each wins flavor in our mouth. The rest of the tasting room was great. very clean bathroom. Friendly waiting staffs. read more

Very cute wine place in the heart of downtown Ojai. Outdoor patio seating is secluded but very popular so we sat inside which was also very nice. Wines were good, staff super friendly. Thumbs up to Courtney who seated us and served the wine. Overall, a well worth stop for vino. Cheers! read more

What a quaint little spot! Very comfortable and intimidate, but small. Probably best for groups no larger than 4. The service is friendly and they did a great job moving people through (almost too fast) Their menu is vey affordable. Bottles are around $40 give or take a few dollars. I'm normally a cab person, but the best one I tried in the tasting was the Merlot. Most of their wines are pretty fruity, not sweet per say, but you really taste the fruit (which I loved!) overall for the price point, i'd say this is a must try if you're in the area! read more

Needed to take a break, so we did the wine flight here. For $15 you get to try five different wines. They have a very cute patio area to enjoy your wine. They offer by the bottle and by the glass. All in all, had a very pleasant experience and would totally come back! read more
