Boneless Wings are not good at all, told the server I was not a big fan and to see what she can do. she went and took off 3$ and charged my card without telling me first. took 15 minutes for manager to out and he said nothing was wrong with my food. i didn't touch my food except 2/5 onion rings. i understand "nothing is wrong with the food" but the wings were a weird texture and color was off and i shouldn't have to sit explain and show to the manager to get my money back although if i did he most likely would've had to. What in the actual hell is going on with Native? Their wings get worse and worse every year. I used to love going here now I can't stomach eating the shitty wings. I think Native needs to fire their executives that are approving the changes that have reduced the quality of their product, or they will be ALL going out of business. I decided to get some wings today. I stopped by Native around 9 PM. I spend about 5 minutes in the lobby until someone approaches and barks, "What do you want?" I asked for a booth for one. Annoyed he grabs a menu and hustles to a booth, dropping them on the table and walking away before I even arrive. A bit more time goes by before a waitress arrives. I order a 1/2 lb of boneless wings and a drink. It arrives fairly quickly by a different person. The wings were smaller than the chicken nuggets at McDonalds and tasted about the same. It was incredibly disappointing. I finish my bite sized wings rather quickly and sit there for 30 minutes, with an empty drink, waiting for the waitress to ask for the check. Another waiter walks by and I ask him for the check, shortly after the waitress shows up, annoyed and brings me the check. The drink I ordered, a generic coke was $3.14, how outrageous is that? You can buy a canned soda for $0.50 at a grocery store and the syrup for the drink costs pennies. I'm sure they are accounting for refills, but with service that slow, they don't have to worry about people getting refills. The total came out to around $13-$14 for a few bites of wings and a drink. Definitely not worth it. In short, rude and slow customer service on a slow night, and rather disappointing tasting food, with a horrible proportion that's entirely overpriced. read more

We have now ordered from Native at least 3 times in the last month from DoorDash and they have did a great job every time. We've tried the pizza, wings (chicken & waffles, salt & pepper, habanero mango sauce) and even tried the loaded tots on one occasion. Something about the pizza and the crust that got me hooked. Pretty poor experience here. Came here to watch March Madness for lunch, like the many other people that were sitting on the bar side. Was seated quickly and given drinks right away. But took a while to get our order. After we put in our order, it took over an hour to get our food. The place was severely understaffed. Maybe 3 total people (that I saw) that were working the bar, serving, and seating customers. The bar was maybe half or 2/3rds full, and there was one point that we noticed nobody had any food in front of them. Positives of this experience: -Our waiter was kind and checked up on us a lot, but it got to a point where we just had to ask how much longer until our food was ready. He'd ask us how we were doing, but what else can you say when you've been asked that repeatedly and it's been over an hour waiting for you food? -Good amount of Tvs on the walls in the bar area, so you could watch the games no matter which way you faced. Big question we had: Why were they so understaffed and under prepared when its a day that many people will go to a bar during lunch to watch march madness? Especially as a sports bar? Just left this Native. Our family went to have dinner. Drove to this location so my daughter could meet us. There were four people eating. Busy night. 40 cent wings. Wings came out 45 minutes after ordering. Ten minutes later my salad came out made with the wrong dressing. Ten more minutes they bring my daughters boneless wings, at which time I let them know the dressing was wrong... the manager proceeds to tell me they changed the recipe. (It was Italian) I'm now going to the Dobson and Guadalupe native, approx ten miles away to get the apple walnut salad with the citrus salad dressing. Oh and I'll also get a deep eddy lemon drink! So many businesses are struggling to keep employees and keep doors open, so prompt and excellent service has been especially difficult to accomplish. Cruz (manager at the Gilbert and Germann location) is an amazing asset to Native. He not only goes around to ensure the customers are having a good experience, but he also is intuitive to his staff and promptly recognizes when someone needs some help. I've been coming here for a few months now as it's on my way home from work. They have a great happy hour menu, and there's always a beer I like on tap. I'm usually in on Wednesday evenings and sit on the bar side. Angelo is usually bartending, he's very attentive, great to chat with, and knows how to make a great Michelada. Highly recommended! This time it was for our Wacky Wednesday Party Crew happy hour which consist of my husband and his parents. We have recently made it a mission to visit a new HH spot each hump day to get our break in the middle of the week. On Wednesdays they have a boneless wing special for under 4 bucks which paired with a house salad makes a great guilty pleasure dinner. The beers are cheap too! We were served by Kasey who was an outstanding addition to our party. She took our weekly party pic for us after seeing me struggle to get us all in frame and was very attentive and friendly. The standout here is the buffalo chicken nachos which cannot be denied. You also get 50% off an appy for checking in on Yelp. This place is truly the dreg of restaurants! The management seems oblivious to how poor this place is. The service is just terrible on so many levels - friendliness, knowledge, hygiene, customer awareness and many other things. The servers for the most part ignore the customers, they simply take an order and then disappear. We got no silverware or napkins...finally we got up and got bar napkins. I know it is hot outside and hot working in a restaurant, but that is no excuse for bad BO and profuse sweating while serving people. The food, in this case wings, was disgusting...they had more hair on the wings making them inedible. Such a shame...seems like it could have been a good place. read more

Well, we came tonight for dinner and sadly did not have a great experience. We arrived at 6:15pm and were sat right away...did not appear to be overly busy though there was a large party next to us. Our server was Daniel, who seemed to be a newer server on staff. We ordered the hangover burger with no bun and a side salad, 5 strawberry hot wings well done, 10 Asian garlic wings well done, fries, and a strawberry walnut salad. After waiting for our food for 50 minutes, my husband asked to speak to the manager...of note, our server didn't check in with us once during this wait. The manager agreed to follow up promptly and about 2 minutes later, the food was delivered, minus the side salad. Literally 10 minutes later the salad finally came. I would say the food was mediocre...not bad at all but also not outstanding and certainly not worth an hour wait. The Asian wings were probably the best food. The manager was really great, apologizing for the delay and discounting the meal 25% which I appreciate; customer service is important. Disappointed that Daniel never apologized for the delay (or honestly really even seemed to notice), never asked us for refills, or even how the food was. I think we will probably try it again because the manager was accommodating and chalk this up to a bad night...though I will also mention, our server was talking to another table as we were leaving about having the manager discount their meal. It has been quite a long time since we visited this location of Native, and if you have read any of the recent reviews you might understand why. But we were in the neighborhood, hungry and it was past 8:30 in the evening. Since most places close up at 9:00 that limits your choices a bit so we decided to give this location another try. The food was mostly good. We ordered wings and tots my wife had a soda and I asked for iced tea. Ok, the wings were tasty and hot. The tots on the other hand were not hot at all. When we mentioned this to our server he said, "Oh, I'm sorry." but that was the extent of his corrective actions. The tea tasted soapy so I asked for a soda instead. Since we have had poor experiences at this location before, we were not really expecting much anyway, so the hot wings were good enough. The other faults I have to make note of here are about the restaurant itself. We were in on a Tuesday evening after the dinner rush had gone, there was only one other table occupied on our side of the restaurant but from the sound of things the bar was still busy. That being said there were a large number of dirty tables around us that remained dirty the entire time we were there. Also, there is a table close to the hostess station that is used by the staff to roll silverware and other such prep tasks. While we were there the staff were congregating around it watching the basketball playoffs on TV. As others have made note of here, the tables in this establishment always seem to be sticky, the chairs and booths have loads of crumbs and gunk. Lastly, the men's room was disgusting, simply disgusting. The restaurant is poorly maintained, the staff are poorly trained and poorly managed and the food is marginal at best. There are lots of locations of Native here in the Valley, I recommend you try a different one. read more
