Sausage, Mac n cheese, red beans. Not good.

What a disappointment. The outside ambience and decor was super inviting, and this place has been around forever. But yikes! The meats are kept in Tupperware in a cooler and microwaved to order! What?!?! The red beans were served cold and were mostly soup, so salty they were inedible. The mac n cheese, though served warm was too salty to eat. The sausage tasted boiled and looked pale and sickly. What a terrible disappointment. Steer clear, folks.

BBQ brisket is lean, Smokey, and very tender! Got past Bouncer and became his BEst Friend ....until someone else with a sandwich showed up! Great CW music, CW atmosphere and friendly service from humans too!

My ribs, bbq beans, and loaded tater salad. Let's eat!

Nice little side of the road place with rustic buildings, great pulled pork sandwiches, foodie items and the world's largest rocking chair.

Great BBQ for the area. There is not much in the greater Weatherford area but theirs is really good.

I love everything about this place except the outhouse. Those ceased being quaint to me over 50 years ago.

My granddaughters enjoyed the Mac and Cheese. I enjoyed the sliced brisket... when back in the area I would definitely go back.

DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!

The waitress was very friendly, but spread a little thin through all the tables. Menu had something for everyone. We ordered the special, smothered chicken, and it was not special. The shredded cheese they balled on there was barely melted. We ordered a plain burger for my son. The patty was thin and over cooked and bun a little over toasted. I ordered the Philly steak fries and they were good and I would order again. We travel through this area and were hoping it would be a place to eat and rest, but not sure we will make it a priority

So had to do a follow up on the first and second reviews for consistency…read more Dayne's has consistently been on point no matter what I've ordered. Definitely in the my top 5 in the state. Continuing to add a fun variety of tasty sides and execution of those has been legit (lumpia or lumpia Shanghai). A TX BBQ twist on Filipino version of a pork filled egg roll. The pork belly was really good as well, prefer the beef burnt ends personally but really good nonetheless. I was last one in and last one out on this day so hard to grade service as they were cleaning up.

We had the chance to visit it yesterday for a Friday afternoon lunch They were moderately full, but the service was reasonably quick, with the staff being pleasant and helpful. Unlike most barbecue joints, their menu is totally à la carte. While they do run special meats or dishes for a month or so, they do not have a daily special on the menu. There are no 2 or 3 meat plate specials in other words. We ordered 1/2 pound of the turkey, a "Beefy Texan" sausage along with a side of the "Frito pie beans" The turkey was very tasty and moist. It's amazing what happens to Turkey when you cook it in a pound of butter. The sausage was good, not dry not too spicy. Good. With the beans, it was kind of hard to tell just how good they are. This was a serving of pinto beans, topped with shredded cheese and then topped with chili cheese Fritos and jalapeños with creamers. It kind of works. It was very tasty. It was also kind of a surprise as I was not told about the chili cheese part. We also got some brisket to try and again it was very good exactly what you would expect for a good barbecue place in Texas. It was well smoked, it had a delicious bark And was very tender Overall, we found Dayne's to be to be a good BBq restaurant. As a plus it was easy to get to. While we would probably go back if we were in the neighborhood, this would not be one of my favorite places.
