Had a wonderful experience at the Natural Bridge Caverns, all the staff and tour guides are very informative and friendly. It's a beautifully persevered place with a lot of history, and the formations and breathtaking in person. After my first visit, I noticed there was more than just a tour. They offer yoga in the caverns as well as an adventure park. I had the opportunity to come back and attend yoga class 180 ft below the ground. It was a beautiful event, such a unique experience, and a wonderful beginner friendly workout. It's the perfect place to bring your family, friends visiting town, and I can't wait to come back to try their adventure park next. Tip: wear sneakers with good grip, the caves grounds can be naturally wet and humid. And the tour includes inclines and declines while walking.

I forgot to check in, Bummer but I have proof no photos, it never happened lol! We did the Hidden Wonders Tour. It was as awesome as doing the Cenotes in Mexico. Great History, it's more modern as it's fairly new but the cavern's been there over century's ago. Our tour guide was Kate, she was nice w/ her cave puns. Get the Groupon deal in advance if you can and if it's available for half the price but it depends on the date though. Discovery and Lantern Tours are only a few dollars difference just depends on what you're going for and they said it's pretty similar. Though the Discover is great for first time and the Lantern is more coz you carry an old lantern like back in the days. The one we did was the modern take. Love caves and the history of it all.and natures forms. Plus there's not much to do around here lol

We really enjoyed our tour beneath the earth! It was worth the admission and a great little workout as well. Good shoes are a (MUST)! David, Our tour guide was pleasant and gave us plenty of time to take it all in. We only did one tour, which was about an hour and a half but that was a good amount. No heavy sales or pressure to do any of the many activities at the facility which we appreciated.

We held a team building event at Natural Bridge Caverns and it was an absolute blast. There is a variety of things to do including ice skating, a Christmas Lights display, Ropes Course, and 2 different caverns to explore among many other activities. All of the employees were very helpful especially down in the caves where they explained the history and provided fun facts. For me, the caves were the highlight. I started with the larger cave and while it was definitely physically taxing (especially the climb out) it was well worth it. The sights were breathtaking. The smaller cave was more conducive to those who aren't as physically fit as it had a conveyor belt at the end to bring you back out of the long tunnel. There is still a significant amount of walking in small areas but again definitely worth checking out.

One of the most amazing places I have been too..Makes you wonder what still hasn't been discovered under our feet... Very well paved and the handrails are a life saver...the descent and ascent is still tough, but benches and such to take a break...I have had a knee replacement and am not in the best shape and I had a lazy 5 yr old with me, (LOL)...and we made it...Everyone should see these caverns...My grandson also did the geode splitting which we loved and the bags for fossils...He would have loved to do the climbing , but gma is too chicken...Really a fun place for all ages....Only downfall, our tour guide had a very heavy accent so I heard quite a few saying they couldn't understand her....also the group was quite large...so would have been better to limit to a smaller group

A cool experience to go through! I descended down the cave about 180 feet. If you do not like semi dark places, this is not for you. There are lights that illuminate paths and stalactites though. It's an interesting way to see mother nature at work !

Only came for Twisted Trails and the only negative thing I have to say is that I wish a ticket came with more time!!! Your 45 minutes goes by soooo quickly, especially if you spend most of it on the first level getting used to being in a harness and in the air. Speaking of the harness, it's full-body and you're connected to the structure at all times, which is very reassuring. Try something new and adventurous!!

Natural Bridge Caverns is a magnificent natural wonder hidden below ground. I had no idea how large this cavern was and how spectacular it is to see, a true natural wonder. I loved learning the history and science behind it all through our tour guide. The tour had a few difficult spots to navigate through but is a must see. Who knew something so remarkable was right here in San Antonio?

Great family place to spend a day exploring caverns and gold mining with the kids. 2 caverns to explore and able to see the bats flyi out of the cavern in the evening weather permitting.

Excellent tour, wear good shoes with rubber soles, warm and humid in the caverns. Enough stopping points to take pictures in the caverns. Friendly tour guides. To pay for parking ($10) there is a QR code, but pay when you get to the visitor center and connect to the free wifi. Your cell phone likely will not work in the lot.

Everything was an amazing experience Do not leave without visiting the gift shop It's so beautiful and easy access No complaints here Even the restrooms where super clean and the snack place staff was friendly and inviting

This is where we started our Texas Cave Trail Adventure...1 of 5 caves on the round trip...Being our first cave ever we didn't know what to expect...Super friendly and knowledgeable tour guide...and technically this is a 2 for 1 cave experience...separate tickets required...The caves are cool and very humid...So you know your in Texas...We all had a great time and the scenery was exceptional. Well worth our time.

Ask the Community - Natural Bridge Caverns

I was there in the 70's ?Has any thing changed inside the cave ? Do they turn off the lights? Or turn on some black lights for the rocks to glow? Or the formation of the rock that looks like a fry egg! Is it still there?

Hi! We were just there a couple months ago and it is all the same. The cave hasn't changed a bit. They do turn the light off for a min or so. And they have soft dim lights throughout that come on and off.

First time visiting and only have time for either the discovery tour or hidden wonders tour, which one should we do? Possibly the least crowded option?

    I recommend the discovery tour

    Are masks required?

No, masks are not required. Only recommended.

    Are kids under three free?

Yes, anyone under the age of 3 gets on the cave tour for free.

Does the zip line and maze cost extra?

Yes, they are separate attractions. You can purchase the maze as an add on to your tour ticket, and the Twisted Trails are priced separately at $24.99 per person.

Do you recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time or the day of? Is it cash only?

We recommend buying tickets online in advance. If you can buy the tickets days in advance, you can save money. Depending how early in advance you buy. We also accept all major credit cards, just no personal checks.

Is this handicap accessible for inclines?

Hi Andrea! Everything on the surface at Natural Bridge Caverns is handicap accessible. Unfortunately our tours are not handicap accessible. I hope this helps, if you have more questions you can call us at 210-651-6101 anytime during business hours.

How much does it cost to enter the park?

Ticket cost varies by date and by age of the visitor (child or adult). There are two cavern tours, so prices for each or a combo of both are available. Visit the website naturalbridgecaverns.com for specific prices on the date you choose. They… Read more

Which would you suggest between the zip line, maze, and mining? ....asking for a 9 year old lol

I was just there a few days ago and I did a few of the cave tours. The zip line and the maze seemed kind of tame from others that I've seen in the past. If it's your first time then it will be fun if you have done things like this in the past I'll… Read more

It was truly one of the highlights of my trip and I would highly recommend visiting to anyone in the area, and I hope to go again in the future! The parking nearby was a short walk but nothing crazy, and once we got to the Market it was shaded very well and had such a variety of stands both inside and outside of the buildings which I loved. It was a little hot outside so it was nice to be able to rotate between both areas. There was also such a great mix of stores, restaurants, snack stands, and artisans and crafts throughout. We grabbed some aguas frescas to sip on while we explored and they were delicious and a great price for how big they were. We had a big breakfast but it would be nice to try some of the many lunch spots they had throughout the market. The stores had everything but I loved the amount of talavera pottery to choose from and stocked up as much as my suitcase would allow. Prices are super reasonable as well considering these are handmade artisan pieces. I use my tazas everyday and they are the best coffee cups I have ever had. The merchants are super friendly and helpful as well. Everyone was very welcoming and made it a great experience. I hope to be back in the future!

There were food, drink, and craft vendors selling in the outdoor market which made the ambiance very lively but not too crowded, as well as live music. Unfortunately, the vendors' food was underwhelming and expensive. I was coming from California and was excited to compare Mexican street food in Texas, but the options were very bland. Esquites - $12, 5 street tacos - $18, Chicken Gorditas -$11, Agua Fresca -$10 I did enjoy looking inside the markets (don't forget there are 2 different buildings for you to do your shopping). You can find some inexpensive souvenirs mixed in with some of higher price points.
