Could I love a grocery store any more? Not likely. Love this one. I've sat in on a few of the classes geared toward nutrition, vitamins, home remedies and more. Good selection of organic and non GMO items. Suppliestogive you a head start in brewing your own Kombucha, fermenting your own sauerkrat or kimchi and much more. Publications that explain various topics on things such as sprouting, GMO's, Vitamin D and just so much more. All this in addition to grass fed beef, grass fed beef broth and Grass fed lard. Awesome. And groceries. Yep, they have groceries too. The produce selection isn't huge, but they have things here I don't expect you would find many other places. For example, Dandelion greens. Who knew?! And then there is the nutrition counseling that's offered. One hour, for free. Certainly not the usual neighborhood grocery store, and I love that.

Stare long enough and a spot will appear

I was really happy when I first found this place, I'm still happy I found natural grocers has a store, just not THIS store (Williamsfield and Val Vista)... I was just reminded why I drive to the other locations even though I live less than a block away from this one. The owner or manager (pretty older blonde gal) who is nice in a very patronizing , sometimes accusatory way if you have an issue with one of their products. I had an issue with her in the past which I won't even bring up now, because it was resolved, but the process was so scrutinized that I stopped taking my business there. I had bought a $40 shirt because they are the only place that sells a shirt I would pay $40...and I'm frugal, but this bamboo shirt is fire...anyways, I forgot that they run a little smallAnd yesterday I bought a large from a different location. After trying it on when I got home and thought a little tight and I remembered after looking at my other shirt that I have which is almost a year-old, was an XL. The story about it from didn't have any XL's but this one did(I called) ... I drove down there and tried to swap the shirt out for the larger one and just like always she made it difficult and tried to tell me that I washed it. Keep in mind I bought this yesterday... It was too small for me, why on earth would I throw in the washing machine which is usually known for shrinking things not making them larger. She points on the stain and then as we look at it in a light can't see it, but after very very careful and continuous searching she's able to fine a the smallest mark (even that word is worse than this smudge that probably came from my hands, which probably haven't been washed in two or three hours at worst) which I'm attaching to this review.... so she denies the exchange and has again offered piss poor customer service... you can't knit pick more than this and what I wanted to say but Didn't think of it until just now, was "make up your mind is it dirty or did I wash it??" it's been less than 30 hours, I didn't wash the shirt, I didn't even wear it longer than 10 seconds when I knew it didn't fit. I just want to get the right size for the $40 shirt I bought but the patronizing Condescending which is made up some bullshit reason why she won't let that happen. Back to boycotting this place or at least this location

It was hard to make it here during my trip to Phoenix because of their limited hours, but I am SO…read moreglad I did. As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.

It is a little pricey, however, it's worth the cost. As I mentioned, everything is healthy and made fresh. You can't get that without paying a bit extra Their bread is so good, the chutney is awesome, their little side salads are so tasty. I haven't tried anything here that I have not loved. They are a small husband and wife run business, which is always great to see. They are very friendly people who clearly love what they do. There's limited seating indoors, as it's inside Barnone, but you can easily find places to sit outdoors as well.

They shuck and put them on ice for you and you can't beat the value. You can also get a one topping pizza for $12, and family pack tiramisu and tres leche cakes for $10. I also love their smoked salmon and the brisket @ the self serve smokehouse hot bar for only $14.99/lb. I love that I can pick out the pieces I want and where can you get briskets for that price? I always feel good buying food here due to their high standards and the convenience.

Do Better Whole Foods! I was guided by a staff member on 7/2 to email the gift card department…read moreabout an issue that was reportedly known by WF. I sent this email about my experience on 7/2 and the Corporate/Global Team's responses (weeks later) and treatment toward me is disappointing for such a large well known brand, especially for something they knew was an issue with their e gift cards and told none of the e gift card recipients about. This has cost me hours of my life at this point and undue stress trying to use the remaining balance for daily grocery needs. I have all of the emails as proof of the timeline and resolution from Corporate. Note: I wasn't getting any replies for weeks (the gift card phone number goes to a non functioning phone numbers well) so I filed a BBB Complaint. WFM didn't reply to that either. While they ended up "fixing the issue", there was no apologies, remorse for the unnecessary experience, treatment, or literally ignoring me for weeks using the sole method of communication (email for gift card support- went wholly unanswered). The fact they still guided me to the non functioning phone number was appalling On Jul 2, 2026, at 12:41PM Hello I just spent literally 25 minutes in a Whole Foods trying to have somebody figure out why my Whole Foods gift card in the email below, was not working and kept saying invalid pin. The gentleman on the phone literally just got off the phone with your company and they told him to have me email you all. I am extremely frustrated at the horrible and disappointing customer service where they should have just issued me a new gift card in store. I left all of my groceries there and spent way too much time in that store that was completely unnecessary. That was after three people tried to help and told me that the guy I just talked to who talked to your phone reps said he could help me. So who can fix this urgently and make it right since my experience has been absolutely atrocious and resulted in unnecessary time additional work on my end and stress that was not needed today.

I've been meaning to get over here and try this place out and finally got here yesterday…read moreI have shopped at Natural Grocers in Austin, Dallas, and Amarillo and knew that I liked the store but hadn't gotten to this one until 2 days ago. I got away with only spending under $17 because I didn't need a lot of quantity since I'm just visiting in Mesa. There were a couple things I forgot to look for but the main issue is that the prices have gone up so much in the past three or four years since the last time I was in one that there was nothing I needed enough to spend that much more on it. Not their fault, everybody's prices have gone way up. If I'd seen something on sale that I needed I might have gotten it though . Part of the reason for coming here was that I saw somebody carrying one of their cute tote bags and it made me want to get one. I ended up getting two because the little elephant one was so cute. Their clearance rack had real good prices at half off so I got some sprouted whole-grain bread, some sour cream and some organic tortillas from there. I had to buy a bag of Basil just because it smells so good. I got some of their bulk ranch seasoning to go with the sour cream and one of those lavender sporks for three dollars, remembering that just a couple years ago they used to be $2. Ultimately I was happy with what I ended up with. And I have to say, when I smelled the wonderful aroma before I even walked into the store, I had that familiar feeling of being home because it smells like the other stores I had been to, the comforting aroma of herbs and spices and essential oils all mixed together.
