While businesses can set their own policies, it felt unusual, particularly since Joy appears to be the owner and was the person requiring advance payment. -- The location looked dated and poorly maintained. I could not tell whether it was actually unclean or simply old, but it did not feel especially comfortable or relaxing. I also posted about my experience on Google. The business responded with what appeared to be a generic or AI-generated template and even left "[Your Name]" in the signature. The response said the payment process and massage technique would be "reviewed," but since Joy was both the therapist and apparently the owner, that did not provide much reassurance. They do not start their massages on time and end their massages early so you do not get the full time you pay for. 3. They do not close the door when you are changing, there is just a cheap drape that does not even reach down to the full length of the doorway. 5. Because the walls do not reach all the way to the ceiling you can hear other patrons during their massage - there were some very interesting noises. Taking all that aside generally the massage was a deep tissue massage which is what my wife and mother in law enjoy and because the price point is very reasonable, my wife and MIL went more than once.
