Yesterday my girlfriend and i had a terrific couples massage at Yu Spa. I had looked up couples massages in Palm Springs; and this one popped up. After reading the reviews, i decided to chance it and are we happy we did. We called in around 10 am and asked for a 1pm appointment-no problem...showed up and were met by smiling faces and a nice, clean facility. I had Anna, i didn't get the other girls name, but they were both great! Massage from head to toe...We had the 90 minute massage that is $105 each-that is a really good price! Terrible massage, I wanted it to end. I asked her to stop several times what she was doing. I get massages often, I had to take advil & Tylenol after, I get deep tissues often, she was rigid and not smooth, just slamming her hands around, not smooth at all, really really bad. I hate that I gave a tip. My friend had the same experience with hers. Plus they didn't use oil we both had to ask, they were doing a dry rub which was hurting. read more

Well, I went in with sore muscles, tired back and feeling a little like nothing was going to be able to help, but may be a massage would be nice. Instead, it was awesome. I'm sitting here an hour after the massage and can't feel a sore place on my body. I'm only in Palm Desert a couple of months a year, but I'm glad to have found Yu Spa so early in my stay this year because it gives me plenty of time to come back a few times which I definitely will. Perfect Massage. Abbey gave me the massage. It was as good of a massage as I have had. It was a 2 hour massage with hot stones. Abbey's pressure was just wonderful. It felt like a Thai massage style and after a while I asked for a little more pressure and she did exactly what I wanted. The huge bonus on the massage was the "stretching" massage she did. WOW! I have been to Stretch Labs and it was somewhat like that. Stretching to me is almost as enjoyable as a massage. Abbey gave me both. I was so, so very tired after a long week. If I could give kne star I would have done that. Its the worst place possible to go because instead of helping they get you more stressed. They didn't schedule my appointment that drove 2 hours for. And they kept saying different prices huger each time when I tried to make another appointment and told me it is going to take 2 hours till the appointment. Just saying if you want to relieve yourself and get rid off your stress thus is the worst place. I would not recommend this place at all!! read more

The business is very low aesthetically but they have what is needed for a good massage, massage tables with warmers, masseuses and good service. If you are looking to get some deep kinks worked out and also feel relaxed with no bells and whistles, this is a good place for you. Walked-in and asked for 60 minute combo massages for two... was told they could accommodate. After our feet soaked, more employees arrived to inform us they could only do 30 minutes each due to prior bookings. Ok, no problem. The massages were both fine but one of the employees was eating lunch in the next room so there's was some silverware clanking, then a phone rang until it went to voicemail and my therapist apparently left her phone on and received at least 4 alerts during the 30 minutes. Not ideal when you're paying over $60/hour/massage with tip. These are easy things for a business to fix. read more

We could never afford the spa treatments at our bougie hotel so I bought three Groupons for Yu Spa based on Yelp reviews. I made reservations for us all at 1pm on a Tuesday and Yu Spa was staffed and ready for us. We each got a different type of massage but were each so happy with our services. I was telling the gals back at our bougie resort about Yu Spa, and while I'm sure the massages there were good, for a fraction of the price we got great massages at Yu Spa.
