Having the rocks seemed like a nice thing (low maintenance! Drought resistant! Blank slate!) but we quickly learned it wasn't installed properly because so many weeds began to grow. We received a very quick turn around to get a quote. Taylor met me and we discussed the vision we had for the yard. Taylor explained everything they would do to make sure we had properly installed landscaping. While design adjustments are included--we had VERY few revisions because Taylor really listened to our wishes and executed them so well in the design. Then the work began. I have been so impressed with everything Cesar and his crew have been doing. They leave no small detail untouched. The pipes for our old sprinkler system were such an eye sore. When the crew installed the new irrigation system--they build a box to conceal the pipes. I was not expecting that in the slightest! They are timely with completing the project and do a wonderful job cleaning up. I've had to many neighbors comment on how great the yard looks as they walk by. I'm no longer embarrassed by the "weedy rock pit" in my front yard. I now have a beautiful design that brings me so my joy and pride.

We chose California Fence primarily because of Bill. This may sound silly but part of the reason is because when he come over to meet with us and provide a quote, he was covered with dirt and sawdust, which reinforced what he was telling us - He is on the job working with his crew all day unless running out to do a quote. He listened to our needs and gave us experienced feedback. We had a medium sized tree which needed removing and killing, which he also did, and he needed to work around a gas line to our fire pit. We liked his attention to detail and his straight to the point matter. After answering our questions he immediately brought out his tape measure, little book and pencil and worked out a quote. His crew is composed of his family and a couple of family friends that have been working with Bill for years. They were all very friendly and respectful and seemed to share Bill's attention to detail. Bill and crew were always available to us and responsive to any questions we may have had. We were impressed with the quality of their work. When they were done we had a beautiful new Trex deck and the area was nicely cleaned up. Had a great experience with this crew. They removed all the dirt from my sidewalk verge (about 540…read moresq ft, ~4" deep) and made the whole process easy. They showed up on time, brought the right equipment, and got the digging and hauling done quickly without tearing up the surrounding area. The grading came out clean and level, which made the rest of my project way easier. Our project was a small yard with a combination of hard surface and the installation of artificial turf for our dogs. I was surprised how good it looks and the dogs seem to enjoy it as much as real grass. I interviewed a few companies and chose Landscape Solutions based on how easy they were to talk to and how transparent they were with their process including design and billing. The entire job went very smoothly. I changed a few things after we started, and they were upfront about how that would impact the time to completion and the cost. In both cases their estimates were accurate. Their pricing was competitive and given the quality of the finish product and the ease of working with them I found it to be very reasonable. The guys they had doing the work were very professional, polite, and easy to work with. They cleaned up after each days work and returned the next morning right on time. I appreciated that they were very respectful of my time and my home. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I have already recommended them to a friend who may need work done in the future. Armed with the city's municipal code and state case law, I researched property lines, talked to the neighbors, and called seven different tree companies. Zazueta Tree Specialists was already at the top of my list when my neighbor mentioned they had just used them and were 100% happy. That sealed the deal for me!! Carlos Zazueta--the super friendly, highly skilled owner and certified arborist--gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we excitedly scheduled our day of freedom from these invasive trees! The crew arrived at 7:30 AM sharp in a clean, professional logo truck with a serious wood chipper. After reviewing the plan to trim back five encroaching trees with Carlos and my hubby's guidance, they got straight to work. Their performance was meticulous, fast, and exacting. The crew (shoutout to Alex & Juan!) was incredibly friendly, professional and engaging When we asked. They left us with clear airspace, a spotless yard, and TOTAL PIECE OF MIND! Instead of cutting the branches smaller to drag it out then dragged out large branches scratching the side of the house and damaged my down spout gutter. The contracted said they are not liable for any pipe damage, but this is clearly damage to my gutter that could have been avoided. I probably won't be going with them again.

Here's our story: My wife and I bought a house in Q4 2019. The house itself seemed turnkey ready, but both the front and back yards needed major work. The previous owners put a pretty good mask on them during the selling process... I'd guess that they hired someone for yard clean-up, then simply poured tanbark on top of weeds (without properly removing them). During the purchasing process, we learned that the irrigation system was original 1955 galvanized steel and needed to be replaced. The end result was: our new house looked great from the inside... but the yards turned into neighborhood blights after about 3-4 months. We needed help. After blowing our nest egg on a down payment, we saved for another year to be able to afford actual landscape/hardscape. We weren't sure where to begin and engaged multiple vendors. Pearman Landscape was among them. From our first meeting, Robert Pearman behaved more like a trusted confidant than a vendor. We had never purchased hardscape services before... and it definitely showed. Rather than lead us around by our nose, like the greenhorns we obviously were, he described the entire process like an impartial 3rd party. Multiple times, he gave us information while acknowledging "whether you go with me or somebody else." Robert immediately sent over his designer, Kristin Bailey. I had read the Yelp reviews from Jody and Bob and immediately got worried, as they both claimed she was unresponsive. Luckily, I had a totally different experience. Kristin was prompt, she was polite, she was helpful, and I ended up chatting with her for about 45-minutes after we walked through my yard. I found her to be an absolute treat and I can't imagine anyone having a bad experience with her. She was wonderful every step of the way. Listened to what we needed, asked us great follow-up questions, made sure she was including plants and trees that we wanted in our design... and finished our plan in less than 2-weeks. It was very reasonably priced and we fell in love with the plan immediately after viewing it. I can't speak highly enough about Kristin. Based on our positive experience, we decided to move forward with Pearman Landscape. Not only will they redo our hardscape/landscape/irrigation, but I intend to retain them for garden maintenance after the project is completed. I'll provide updates and pictures as the process unfolds, but suffice to say: we're having a totally positive experience so far and I wanted to leave a 5-star review for any potential clients who might be considering Pearman. My family reached out to 15 different landscape companies around the SJ/South Bay area and Pearman stands head-and-shoulders above the other 14 suitors, both in terms of promptness, responsiveness, helpfulness, and pricing.
