Talked a good game during the evaluation. But day 1 they showed up at 10:30 am and left at 3:30, 2nd day no one showed up, 3rd day 3 guys showed up did minimal work, 4th day a whole new crew came got a lot done. The job was supposed to be done in 3 days, and it took 5 days plus the weekend cause they don't work weekends, so 7 days. Plus they actually tried to get $2000 more than what was agreed on because the job was bigger than it looked. Also they left a dead tree/bush because it was growing over the neighbors fence and they didn't want to deal with it. This company is also known as San Jose yard clean up. Contacted Weed Solution through here and was able to get a quote for the work I needed done in my backyard in approx. 10 minutes or so. Robert was very knowledgeable and assured me that his crew would be able to get the job done. We scheduled an appointment for the following week. The reason I docked one star is because he scheduled for his crew to arrive around 9:30AM, but I didn't know they had another job before mine until I messaged Robert and found out they would be arriving around late afternoon instead. It was a bit of an inconvenience since I moved my schedule around to accommodate for the initial morning appointment. Other than that, I would definitely recommend Weed Solution. The crew arrived around 3:15PM and went straight to work after confirming what needed to be done. They finished in about 2-2.5 hours, which was quicker than expected. Our backyard had years of weeds and trees overgrowth. It was also a storage for old appliances, an old torn-down fence, and an old, run-down shed. Needless to say, it had been neglected far too long. I contacted Robert for a consult and he came all the way from San Jose to Oakland for an inspection to give me a quote. He was super communicative via Yelp, was on time for our appointment, and timely with texting. When we spoke about the project, he was very knowledgable about plants, landscaping, and project-planning. He filled out a detailed quote during the inspection, which was helpful for me to review prior to making the decision to choose him. Once I decided to go with The Weed Solution, we were able to lock down a date for the removal of all aforementioned items. I had a situation where a property I own in Hollister, CA (about 60 miles away from me) needed weed abatement, and it needed to be done quickly. Called and talked to Adrienne - told her what I needed. Next I spoke to Robert. I had to ask him to go down to the property without me, and just bring me into compliance with the city's requirements (fire code).. It was a crazy week and I could not go myself. The next day, Robert came to my house (with his road dog , a Rottie!) to pick up the keys. He drove down by himself, checked it out and quoted me for the job. I asked him to go ahead please! My backyard and front side yard were overgrown with weeds from all of the rain from last winter. I hired this company to clear the weeds, and to have one mound of dirt removed and the dirt relocated. At the end of the time on day that they were here, the dirt from the dirt mound had not been relocated. I talked to the person in charge who was on site. He called his boss to confirm that they were to relocate the dirt, and he was told to relocate the dirt. I went inside my home and they left about 20 minutes later. The mound of dirt was still there. so I emailed them. I did receive a email response the next morning, and a crew arrived the next day and relocated the dirt from the dirt mound. I would have given them 5 stars if the dirt mound had been relocated the first day. They did do a good job of removing weeds, and of relocating the dirt from the dirt mound. Not only is Robert awesome, but Michael was a true gem as well! I am trying to clear out my parents home and it has been an exhausting time for me. Lots of emotions and hard to let go of things, but it needs to be done. I first contacted Robert with what I thought would be going out and his quote was way better than expected, however that changed. I was able to sell some things and had to change what was going out, which was good for me. The quote went up only a small amount and still a bargain by any means. I met Michael at the house on my lunch hour, and he was right on time! We were able to get everything out and loaded within a half hour which I appreciated. And they were even able to take a wheelchair that I had forgotten about! There were many emails between Robert and I and he was always patient and kind, something that is rare these days.
