Needless to say, when you find a good hairstylist, take their name, schedule your next visit in advance because they fill up fast. However I am very keen on giving people a chance, today I granted David a chance, he had availability that fit my schedule. I came in, promptly greeted, paid my 50% deposit online at the time of booking. Booked service for cut, and style, let him know the specifics of what I wanted. I want long layers, but it doesn't need to be exact, it can be a rough cut, just want my ends trimmed, and thinned out/ texturized. Things were so seamless, that I questioned if he put heat protectant spray before blow drying my hair. Which he did, but it's important for me to ask anyway... A tip; No person on earth can just read your mind, so say what you want, and ask questions along the way and if the vibe isn't right, you know what to do! I'm happy with my results for my cut, and he asked if I was happy with length, and texture/ thickness/ thinness and more. Hair grows folks, so don't be too harsh! Enjoy!

I came in asking for a simple trim, about one inch off, and a very subtle face frame. I also made it clear multiple times that I did not want layers. Instead, I left with a head full of layers and what appears to be at least three inches cut off the back instead of the one inch I requested. During the haircut, I could tell it was heading in the direction I specifically asked to avoid, so I reiterated that I didn't want layers. Despite that, the haircut continued the same way. When I asked afterward why I had been given layers, I was initially told they weren't layers. Once I pointed them out bc they clearly were, I was told, "It looks better that way," and "It will grow out." I don't appreciate the attempt to gaslight me as if I can't see the cut and don't know how long my hair was. A stylist's personal preference should never override what a client explicitly requests. Hair takes months to grow back, and this isn't something that can simply be undone. Disappointed that the experience did not live up to the online reputation. This seems to be such a common issue. Why?!

I went in thinking the stylist would be able to do a hair tone service but she gave me a haircut instead. I didn't go in for a haircut originally but she kept insisting that she wanted to just trim the ends. I finally gave in thinking the sooner she cut my hair the sooner she would tone my hair but she proceeded to style it instead. I asked her several times if she was going to tone my hair and she kept saying my color looked nice. I never ask her to look younger or style my hair. I just want a simple cut 5-6inches off. She didn't do that and I believed she chopped off almost 15 inches from my hair. I was upset. When I went up front to pay, the guy at the front desk probably the owner heard my concerning voice about my hair and asked "is everything okay". I said no it's not. My hair is too short. He responded "well I hope it grow fast" I could have just walk out and not pay but I didn't. I paid and still tip 10% because I just can't see myself not paying. I'm still upset at how much I lost my hair and the unprofessionalism this place is. I wanted a nice dramatic change to my hair and she DID THAT. I'm always worried about getting my hair cut and colored because I usually don't leave completely satisfied, but not this time!
