I've been getting gel manicures for many years, so I know what us ladies have come to expect. Both…read moreof my usual local go-to places were booked up for days, but I was at lunch just a few minutes from Cachet Nail Spa and they were able to schedule an appointment for me with a couple of hours notice, so I figured I would try them out based on the strong reviews. Disappointing experience. The color selection for gel polish that had matching colors for regular polish (I still prefer regular polish for my pedicure) was very limited. Mostly nude or brown shades, so I went with white. My cuticles weren't pushed back in my pedicure, "no frills" beyond polish removal, a quick rinse of my feet and new polish put on. I was even asked to turn off the massage chair, so I couldn't even enjoy a few minutes of relaxation before the nail tech was already applying the new polish. No leg scrub, no hot towel, certainly no massage of any sort. She did use a disposable liner in the pedicure tub. The gel manicure was even more disappointing. Some nails came out with air bubbles in the polish and multiple nails have chipped in less than one week. I had to trim my nails short just to keep my nails looking somewhat tidy until next week. I'm also not totally convinced that their tools are autoclaved or even sanitized. It doesn't cost much for these places to offer single-use, disposable nail files/buffers. Just because a cuticle trimmer is in a pouch doesn't mean it is actually sanitized using an autoclave - I unfortunately find that to be very common in many nail salons. For $75, I would expect my gel manicure to hold up a little better and for the pedicure to at least include the normal standards. I'll wait for my usual places to get me in next time and won't be returning here. P.S.: The woman next to me had an appointment and was told that they didn't have enough time to do her pedicure, making her come back another day for that, even though there wasn't anyone else waiting.

Bill helped me do a refill and helped me pick a color because I was so indecisive. He was friendly, kind and very patient. He really did an amazing job. I usually get my nails done in Chinese nail salons in NYC. This was my first time at a viet salon and I saw a huge difference . All my nail techs in nyc always leave a small part of the side of my nails uncovered by gel. Bill was so meticulous with making sure the sides were covered with gel by using a tiny thin brush.
