I've been thrilled for over a year - but now she's gone beyond and may have saved my dog's life!! She was the first to notice one of my dog's nipples looked and felt a bit different from the others. I showed my vet, who wasn't overly concerned. However, Jillian continued to voice her concern and based on that we did decide to remove and do a biopsy. Well, it was malignant! Cloud had a tough time with his grooming and bath at first, but with care and patience he now does very well. Cloud is now 3 years old and we would not think of taking him anywhere else for day care, grooming or boarding. There have been times of emergency and RDR has gone above and beyond making sure we had nothing to worry about when my husband and myself ended up in the hospital. RDR took such good care of Cloud. He just loves it there and gets so excited when we pull up. I think if he ever got lost he would find RDR before he would find home!

Boxer's regrettably are short lived, Skeeter made it to 8 just as his predecessor, Rocky. Gus, is boxer #3 and he too started here as a pup and calls this his second home! We don't travel like we used to, but the kennel's owner's and staff treat the animals like their own. I have never had to encourage anyone of our dog's into the reception area...and even though it hurts my feelings, they nearly charge into their kennel area pulling a staff member along at the end of their lead. No sentiment for us from the dogs. They pay strict attention to dietary concerns, vaccinations and will administer medications if needed. Grooming is available and done with the same care as kenneling. There's a reason this establishment is repeatedly voted Kitsap County's Best. THEY ARE!

Before going there, I packed my cat's dry food, treats, and wet food in containers with instructions on each container. The dry food and treats were placed in small baggies. The baggies were taken out of the containers so the instructions weren't followed. None of the treats were given to my cat. I called Alder Creek and asked why but didn't get an answer. it is not a big deal, but would like to know why the instructions weren't followed? Don't know if I will board my cats there again.

A few days later, Aloha responded with a text message saying my request was approved, and that someone would reach out to me to schedule. Nobody did. So we took our dogs elsewhere. Today, a lovely young lady arrived in the Aloha grooming van. I felt so bad for her, having to explain that we were never notified, and that we'd already sought services elsewhere. She was so polite and apologetic. She also said, "This happens a lot." Which tells me all I need to know. To the owner: Seriously, do better! You can't just show up on a random Saturday and expect your customers to adjust to your schedule. You have to contact and CONFIRM with your customers any appointments. You could have saved yourself the cost, and your employee the embarrassment, with simple communication effort. Business is intentional, not a hobby to do casually. Figure out how to communicate better before your business ends up in the toilet. Or close down now and spare us all from the effects of your inability to provide basic customer service. Sad that I have to write this, but others need to know this happened, and happens often.

First you have to bring your dog in for a daytime stay, then you have to come back for an overnight stay. And the meet and greet is good for only one year, so you have to come back and do it all over again for the same dog, which is absurd.

He was very agitated and while shaking his head I saw something fly out of his ear. A dirty cotton ball! My boy hour later was still crying and running around upset. I put a finger in his other ear and found another dirty cotton ball. They've also installed a curtain so you can't see what is going on with the groomers. If the dirty cotton had stayed there he'd very likely have developed an infection. Plus they removed most of his tail fur is GONE! I asked for a tidy-up and explained what I wanted. He's got almost a shave down ! Most of the feathers on his tail are totally gone. Won't go back. The person I talked with assured me she "got it" and understood my instructions. Obviously not. They hurt my boy and ruined his gorgeous tail. Don't bother! They don't know what they're doing.
