When I got there, Erin had clearly pawned me off on someone else who was there. The person who I was now supposed to have was actively providing a service to someone else. So they asked a third person to wash my hair. She seemed incredibly nervous. I was told they would throw in an additional service (I think this was to buy time) but don't believe I ever actually got it. Once I get to the chair to blow dry, they put a hair robe on, around the chair, so I'm basically in a straight jacket. It was clear everyone was rushed so someone comes over to help blow dry. She makes a joke that I'm getting "celebrity treatment" - no, you're just trying to hurry this along. The new person who comes to help is going twice as fast, doing larger sections and using 3x as hot of temperature. She helps for about sixty seconds, and leaves my hair wrapped around a brush and leaves. I sat with a brush in my hair for another 5 minutes. Was never asked how I style my hair. She made the decision for me. Whatever was used in my hair, I can't even get my fingers through it. I go to pay and for the 3rd time, the price is different than originally told. When I first went to book it said a blowout was $41. Not STARTING at $41. When I put in my card info and address for billing (for the booking deposit), it seems it realized I was from out of town and kicked up the price $20, now to $61. Found this absurd but needed it done. Now I'm standing at the counter to pay and instead of $51 ($61-$10 deposit), she tells me I owe $53. Terrible start to finish!

Therefore, it's a barefoot massage that involves using bare feet to apply strokes, assisted stretching the muscles. It's freaking awesome. I'm totally weirded out by feet, but I needed this. It the room looks all BDSMish, but it's totally not. She uses drilled poles to steady herself. I was so apprehensive but excited at the same time. Mare's sweet disposition put me at ease. I really valued my experience because I didn't think about her bare feet. I was relieved and listened to the flute and waves. If you're open and want to try a different type of massage, then this is a viable option. Did I mention they take FSA/HSA, too? Check of their list if serves. It seems they have a host of great medspa offerings such as IV Hydration, Sauna, inferred, and salon services.

My review is well overdue. I love my natural hair salon. The atmosphere and the people are Great! I've been coming to Gracie for over a year now. She is very knowledgeable about Natural hair. She is also a licensed Cosmetologist, which I love. Healthy hair is her specialty. She was able to Identify the damage within my hair and set out a treatment plan for me. My hair has done a complete 360. I'm glad I found her. Like most naturals I thought I knew it all about natural hair and was doing my own hair at home. What a mistake that was. I booked a blow out for $65 online and by the end of the appointment I was charged $135. I was in no way prepared to pay that and had no idea that services were being added throughout the appointment. My hair was washed and to my understanding conditioned and had a protein treatment I'm honestly not sure. After seeing my face the stylist comped a protein treatment service that I'm sure I needed but if I would have knew of the additional fees being added would have requested to come back when I had it in the budget to have it done. It ended up costing me $110 in the end again that wasn't discussed prior or during the appointment ... evidently I was charged for a trim, 6 snips of the scissors cost $45. I won't be back and wouldn't say don't go; however do your homework, as a first timer I would have appreciated being educated about the services being done or added beforehand even without a consultation. A brief conversation would have sufficed; unfortunately I had to learn the hard way hopefully so you do not have to. I don't think my hair even looked like a $100 hairdo but ‍ lesson learned.

Lauren is by far the kindest most transparent and trustworthy stylist I have ever met. From the start she was quick at replying and her communication by far unmatched. I was impressed with her transparency in every aspect. She was honest about both her ability to achieve what I wanted along with her recommendations for me given my current hair health. For Lauren, keeping my hair healthy and reaching my hair goals were at the top of her priority. I never once felt uncomfortable, and the entire appointment felt super personable. She was also super honest about the price and what upkeep would look like- and that is a conversation that can sometimes feel taboo but not with her. She is such an amazing stylist and her ability to make you feel welcomed and clear minded with what to expect is by far the best I've ever experienced. She was the getaway driver in an armed robbery... sitting in the car while her boyfriend, or as she likes to call him, "her baby daddy," stormed into a corner store with a loaded weapon and walked out with under $200 in cash and consequences. She swears she didn't know what he was going to do. But she still drove. And she still stayed. That boy is already 18, and he's got a record thicker than a phone book... and now my daughter's tied to him in a way that might haunt her for the rest of her life. And the worst part?
