Great family-owned cafe! Love their TAG wrap (turkey, apple, gouda) and the wood-fired pizzas! Lots of vegan and GF options too. Really they have everything you could want for brunch, lunch or a coffee break--smoothies, ice cream, coffee drinks, sandwiches, salads, egg dishes. Customer service is super and always with a smile! They're doing lots of carryout now with COVID but I always meet with a group and sit outside in the shade. They have about 10 tables so you can always find one (even if it's rainy). I was looking for a new place to try for today's breakfast and Nature's Best Cafe suddenly appeared on my radar. At first glance of the menu... I thought oh no, no bacon. I ordered their omelet with everything, it was delicious. One piece of toast and some fresh fruit accompanied the dish. If you check-in, you are rewarded with a free scoop of the acclaimed Northshore treat of Homer's Homemade Ice Cream. Who knew eating healthy is such a treat. This place deserves 5 stars for customer service. Friendly people that make you feel welcome. As for the food, I can't say I was too impressed. I had a salad and sandwich. While both were good, they weren't something I'm dying to go back for. The mango salad dressing didn't really add anything to the salad and it lacked seasoning. The sandwich was good and flavorful, just not unique or anything. They offer many gluten free options. If I were to go back, I would try the pizza. They have an oven there and it seemed to be one of the more popular menu items. Ambience was a nice, but a bit of an older vibe as to a modern one. Very cute place, with good food. I always do my best to support small business, and sometimes you just really want them to succeed. I heard about this place because everything on the menu had a gluten free option, which I like. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday, and there were a lot of people. You can tell a lot about a place when people gather there. Many people seemed like regular patrons, and others were taking their time with food, and playing games. Yes....games. They have several games that you can bring to your table, one of which I believe is Battleship. The food was very good, but the menu isn't very big. They have fresh squeezed juices. There are about 5 mixed blended juices on the menu, but you can special order your own mix. Juice options include: Apple, celery, carrot, beet, ginger, spinach, and more. The soup was good, and sandwiches very good. The mango salad was delicious and I added chicken to give it protein. Overall, this place is great. The one thing you should know is that it is a bit slow. It seems like a family run business and they may need more people to help it run faster. I highly recommend going. read more

The interior of this place has a fast casual vibe, but the service and attention to detail is sit-down restaurant worthy. When you walk in there is a chalkboard with their specials and the soup of the day. You order up at the counter and they have a menu on the wall along with handheld menus to read which have more detail. Drinks can be grabbed in the cooler to the left of the register and they will bring your food out to you if you're dining in! Nature's Best Cafe offers sandwiches, wraps, salads, soup, brick oven pizza, oatmeal, frozen yogurt, egg dishes, baked goods, smoothies, juice, coffee, and more. For all you folks avoiding gluten, you'll be happy to know that they have gluten free bread, wraps, and desserts! My husband ordered a cup of their vegetable soup and the roaster sandwich on GF bread. I went with the TAG sandwich on GF bread and all sandwiches/wraps come with a free bag of kettle chips which is great. There are like 10 different chip flavors to choose from so I opted for salt and vinegar and hubby got BBQ. My sandwich was so good with oven-roasted​ turkey, fresh apple, and gouda with an apple chutney. The gluten free bread was tasty and didn't crumble which is an issue a lot of the time. Looking forward to coming back to try their breakfast items and of course, dessert! P.S. I had never had FOUND sparkling water before so I tried it here and it's delicious! Live out of the area so don't get here very often, but just want to say that I still love the food here. It's always fresh and the folks are so friendly. Great family place with some basic board games, etc for he kids. They do try to prepare 'healthy' which I appreciate. The thin, non greasy crust pizza is a favorite and we are picky pizza eaters! I will never return to this place until they remove the no guns sticker from their door. As a law abiding citizen, I cannot enter this place unless I remove my firearm. This sticker makes this place a target for criminals. Food was amazing, customer service was excellent. It was my first time here. I was unfamiliar with some items on the menu, I asked for recommendations. The employees knew the menu and how it was prepared. I loved the TAG sandwich and my wife had the portobello wrap... which was equally amazing. The cream of mushroom soup was awesome. It was creamy, but not overly creamy. Had a tasty and enjoyable lunch here; southwest salad with chicken, and potato/leek soup. It was all flavorful and nutritious. The only gripe is that it was rather difficult to eat the salad with the short fork with the stubby tines. Ended up using the spoon, which worked much better. Problem solved! Decor is plain and down-home, and the seating is sturdy and comfortable. I'll be returning for sure! read more

Would probably get more business if it was in a different location.I ordered the southwestern chicken salad. The salad and vegetables were very fresh. There salad dressing I didn't like too much but had ranch instead and that was a good pairing with salad. The chicken was 1.50 extra , however it wasn't a full chicken breast. The chicken was slightly warm was under seasoned and was chewy. Prices are reasonable and they offer free goodies today was small cinnamon rolls. What a wonderful cafe! I am on a gluten free diet. The gluten free pizza was out of this world! Very tasty and a great crust!! Everything we ordered for the rest of the family was very fresh and tasty. The dining environment was very welcoming with local artists showcased on one of the walls. I'm from out of town on business for the next few months and went to Nature's Best Cafe for lunch. Nice, friendly people are working here. I ordered the 1/2 and 1/2 which is a sandwich and soup. The soup was Clam chowder. They should have called it bacon chowder - way too much bacon (I'm from the northeast so I know what chowder is supposed to be). Worse, the chowder was luke warm - I kid you not. I took one bite and decided to skip it. Secondly, I had ordered the "Roaster", which according to the menu comes with 'Roasted chicken breast, roasted red bell pepper, fresh mozzarella and pesto on a Tuscan baguette". Well, there was no baguette, it was a wrap. Most of the red bell pepper had to be removed as there was way too much of it included in the wrap. There was also lettuce added to it for some reason. I had specifically asked the order taker if anything else came on the sandwich that wasn't listed on the menu and he said 'no'. Whoops. Also I had asked for no pickle - guess what came with the wrap? Yep, a pickle. I'm having a hard time justifying all the 5 star reviews as well (which is why I went) - this is basically a hometown Panera Bread with less attention to detail. I don't see myself returning to this establishment. I wanted to like this place too as it was close to where I am working. Too bad. On a happier note, my colleague enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. read more

The food is very good. I've tried several different items on the menu and they are all good. I especially love their soups. This is real food--they prepare it onsite. I was there today during our snowy weather and was met with happy employees and the owner is always ready to chat and interact. I noticed today they were baking off chicken breasts for their various sandwiches and salads. Chicken Pozole was one of the soups - MY FAVORITE! The pizza oven was in use for breads and pizzas. They have a small electric fireplace with easy chairs and even a spare guitar should you feel like strumming a few strings. I enjoyed the company of a good friend which was enhanced by the lovely food and a nice cappuccino on a snowy afternoon. Spread the word!!! read more

I can only comment on the salads, but I'm craving one right now! Mother in law and I stopped in for lunch yesterday (it's a fave of hers). So glad she introduced me to Nature's Best. She had her customary mango walnut salad and I had a special, a tropical shrimp salad . . .much like the mango walnut, only with fresh mozzarella, cukes, strawberries, tomato and grilled shrimp. It's the mango dressing that makes both of the salads. Greens super fresh. Presentation appetizing. Quick, friendly service. Clean environment. A group of school kids straggled in during our lunch and boy, did it get noisy, but I have to say in spite of that, the place was a real winner. read more

I work nearby and stopped in for lunch last week. It's kind of in a hidden strip mall to the east of route 59. The inside is spacious, you walk up and order and if you eat in they will bring your food out to you at your table. They have a decent selection of salads, sandwiches, breakfast items and even pizzas. I ordered the southwestern salad with chicken. It was ready in just a couple of minutes. Very large portion, I could barely finish it all in the short amount of time I had before having to get back to work. Chicken was tender and seemingly good quality. The salad was fresh and the corn, black beans, avocado, salsa/pico and especially dressing blended together really well. It was a chipotle vinaigrette and while not exactly spicy, had a little kick to it with great flavor. I really like the healthy/natural theme of Nature's Best. My salad was delicious, priced comparably to similar places, a large portion and exactly what I was hoping for: a quick, healthy lunch near work. Everyone on the inside was super nice. Definitely coming back to try some of their other options, this is a simple but great spot for lunch in northwest Naperville. read more

I did not care for the food and my overall dining experience. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich as I had heard it was good. I also had read reviews which recommended this sandwich in particular. I tried the chicken sandwich and found it to be dry and not fresh. It came with wilted lettuce. Bread was decent though. I tried their pizza and didn't care for that either. I am sorry but I cannot recommend this establishment. Perhaps I'll give it another try in the future but I think not at this time. I try to be as fair as I possibly can. read more

The Pizza's here are truly delicious - The ingredients are all fresh (and organic if you care about that kind of thing) and clay pizza oven just gives it that great taste you don't get from a chained pizza joint. The Baguettes are delicious too, my favorite being the TAG (Turkey Apple and Gouda). What makes going to "Nature's Best" so great though is the atmosphere of the place - It has that "family owned and run" business feel to it, and all the staff seem to really care about each customer.
