I first tried Nature's Select Cat food for our two black long haired rescue kitties "Lady & Vinny". After being on this kibble they had shiny black coats and also LOVED it. They never got fat even though they ate as much as they wanted. Later on I recommended Nature's Select for my uncle's pit bull "Hershey" who had pretty serious itching ears and red spots everywhere because of a chicken allergy. I got her a couple of bags of New Zealand Lamb recipe (their recommendation) and her skin cleared up within about a month and the inflammation on her ears went down significantly. I was very impressed with this dog food. Hershey LOVED the kibble too. Unfortunately my uncle opted for another brand and her skin issues returned. I was so bummed but Hershey wasn't my dog. My dogs were constantly scratching and chewing on several parts of their coat. Got so bad, my wife and I took them to the vet several times and found out that they have allergies as well as sensitive skin. After many bags of expensive prescription food that yielded minimal benefit to the dogs condition, my wife started researching alternative food online and found Nature's Select. They eliminate several of the random fillers in a majority of dog food that the vet had mentioned and suggested that we watch out for, main ones being wheat and corn. I love these people. Been using them since there were a mom and pop. Ownership has changed hands between mom and pops (back to the original) and they no longer personally deliver, but they have a guy or FED EX deliver, which is just about as good. Excellent dog food in that: a) it's well made and healthy and my dog likes it (no crap or ground up dogs to worry about) and b) they bring your dog treats c) they carry it up my stairs usually, d) excellent customer service and e) when you order in bulk i.e. 2 -50 lb bags or a 40 lb and a 50 lb you can 10% off and you can mix and match. They will work with you and your dog's needs; my dog needs the salmon and sweet potato for her coat but she also needs the glucosamine chicken and rice at age 12. f) is that it's actually cheaper than buying the pet store or grocery store kind and is better quality and g) free delivery!!! And it's delivered on the day they say it will be: Mon or now Tues or Fri -- no waiting for a package for days... 2 bags last me 6 mos for 1 dog and when I had more dogs it was 3-4 mos. I have been a long time customer of this store and i was very happy till they did all of their changes. now i pay more for my dog food and the bags are smaller. also now they have a courier that delivers instead of the people that work there and they are charging the customer $10.00 per order for home delivery. i would just go and pick up my dogs food and now they have changed their hours so i can not get there before they close due to my work hours. also i had the convince of paying cash if i wanted to and now they want everything done my debit/credit card. no one wants their dog food left out in the rain or sun all day. also i live in an apartment complex and if my dogs food is left outside anyone could take it. they do not care about the customer at all. this fact shows in the people that they have in the office. the old staff that originally was in the office had awesome customer service skills and was always looking out for the customer.
