I love that my puppy didn't have to wait in a holding area with a bunch of other dogs waiting for their turn like other places. We used this place for two different services when we lived in Glendale. One was grooming for our Australian Shepherd and the other was for petsitting & walking. This review is mainly for the petsitting & dog walking because we decided that was the best service they provided us. Just a quick note on grooming -- They only lost one star because the grooming wasn't entirely up to our standards. After our grooming visit, our dog experienced some temporary skin irritation on her back - possibly from dryer burns, hard brushing or just an allergic reaction to a shampoo used. Also, her hindquarters were clipped awkwardly, although that one may have been my fault for being unspecific in my request. Our dog and cat seemed like they were well taken care of on all the occasions we left them in this company's care. It was clear that our dog loved them. Our cat is sort of a snob, so who knows what he's thinking, but he did seem as content as usual when we got home. Tammy was our main sitter/walker there and our normally shy dog adored her & her little dog. Sometimes we'd run into them in the neighborhood and Star would get super excited to say hello. That says a lot! Also, the company was great about communication, before-during-after, provided easy billing, set up easy key exchanges and they were always pleasant & gracious. It was also nice that our home was always clean when we got home and everything was in its proper place. We recommend their petsitting & dogwalking services to others in Glendale. I cannot stress how thankful I was to be a customer of I-Stay-U-Go. Before this place opened, we would take our dog to numerous places like Petco and the petstore on Glenoaks and both very unsatisfying. Once ISUG was open, we tried it and would never second guess going. Hilma is amazing and her staff are practically dog-whisperers. My pup was always looking great and the prices are definitely worth the service. This place is so trustworthy and so caring, I always have and always will recommend it to everyone. My dog had been allergic to certain shampoos and Hilma had always used the right one to keep him from itching. Up until my dog got a brain tumor and passed away, Hilma was our go-to person, and once she found out she sent us a card and flowers which were extremely generous. I'm glad that this place is finally starting to ramp up its social media and getting some good reviews, because they do a really great job. To be fair, it is a bit more expensive than going to a larger groomer, but your little pup gets one-on-one attention here. They usually only have one, at most, two dogs at a time, so I think it stresses my guy out a little less. Hilma, the owner and groomer used to be a vet tech so she knows her way around dogs. She expressed my dogs glands from the inside, the way they do at the vet (for an extra fee), and my little guy stopped scooting and didn't seem bothered at all or irritated by the process. Grooming was top-notch, he came out looking and smelling great, but most importantly, he didn't have any nicks or scratches which are, unfortunately, very common occurrences at pretty much all of the other groomers that I've tried. Takeaway: I Stay U Go is a great local groomer. Prices are a little high, but you know that your dog gets treated with a gentle hand and isn't stuck in a cage waiting for hours for his turn. Fido still doesn't like going to the groomer, but at least I can have some peace of mind knowing that he will be treated with care, and turnaround is pretty quick. Picked up my dog in about an 1.5 hours if memory serves. read more

I moved to Glendale about a year ago. I travel frequently for my job and I have two cats who demand a lot of attention. I was searching for a pet-sitter on the web, when I found the I-Stay U-Go website (which had some great reviews). I scheduled a meeting with Hilma before my trip and I was really impressed with her friendliness and professionalism. Plus, she was really good with my cats. After Hilma had been pet-sitting my boys for several months, I was scheduled to go on an international trip for work and I locked myself out of my house 20 minutes before I was scheduled to catch the super shuttle. I contacted Hilma to see if she could meet me with my spare key (which was well above the call of duty) and she did! Another time I was out of town, one of my cats was hiding and Hilma could not find him. She stayed an extra 30 minutes looking for him and called and left me several messages. She was genuinely concerned. When I called her back and told her where my cat's newest hiding place was, she drove back to my house later that evening to confirm that he was there. It is nice to have someone who cares about my pets like I do! I never worry about them when I am gone because I know Hilma takes good care of them. So this adorable grooming place opened in my neighborhood a few weeks ago. Definitely a lot closer then where I used to go, in fact I can walk there, so that's exactly what I did. I figured convenience was enough of a reason to give them a try. and boy, am I glad I did!! I have a german shepherd, so no easy task to groom. I have to say, he looked the best he's ever looked. Whenever I pick him up from other groomers, he usually looks like he could've been brushed quite a bit more. Not from I-Stay U Go. He looked AMAZING!! His coat was shining, and no excess hair from his undercoat. Most importantly, he looked happy. I always judge my groomer based on my dog's reaction, and he looked like he was one happy camper (not to mention he probably lost 10 lbs of excess hair) I would DEFINITELY recommend this place to everyone!! I've come here a couple of times & I've loved it. I drive down to Glendale from USC! But, I went last week my dog had lots of knots.. Takin that into consideration I was charged $5 extra dollars on top of the usual $40... That's not what I'm complaining about. Later that day I found 2 cuts on my baby! I was NOT told he got these cuts from grooming. It would have been nice to have been told. The cuts did get worse & now vet bills have to be paid. I had a groomer I couldn't afford anymore and was really letting my two malteses, Gladdie and Amadeus, go. They looked more like homeless dogs then family members when I found Hilma through her five-star yelp rating. People's honestly about their experience helped me decide to take my furry babies to her, who I was worried would be injured by a new groomer because they were so badly matted, especially after a badly administered bath. Hilma was fair with me, honest about the situation and took good care of my furry girls. Very friendly service, they always remember me when I call. I have 2 dogs Yorkie and Papillion and every time they come out happy and cute. My dogs can be a bit of a handful but they are always very nice to them and never complain about their behavior. I think the dogs might not be as bad as I think because they seem to like the people so maybe are at their best and save the bad for when they get home. read more

I discovered I-Stay U-Go more then 13 years ago. They had a storefront up on N. Verdugo Road at the time. I was traveling a lot of business and had two adult cats who needed attention while I was gone. Hilma took excellent care of them! Then I moved from a condo in to a home. My nephew came to live with me so I had a built in pet sitter for a while. Over time, both of my adult cats died but I wasn't cat-less for long and now have two boys. So I gave this place a try several months ago and absolutely loved it. I have a pug so he doesn't need to be groomed, but let me tell you his anal glands definitely need to be expressed every month or so.
