Holy Shit! I was having a craving for steak and decided to check this place out and they did not disappoint! We got 4 boneless ribeye steaks, 4 pounds of sausage their Apple Habanero BBQ sauce, bacon potato salad and a piece of Peach/Berry Cheesecake. Everything was mouth watering. Today I tried the fruity pebble cheesecake slice with a fruity pebble crust on bottom and it was amazing. It was airy with no heaviness at all. I was looking for a butcher shop to give a gift certificate to helpful friends. I found Naughty Pig. I went in to get the gift certificate and was surprised they serve sandwiches. However it was a Tuesday and they only have tacos on Tuesday. The meat selection looked awsome. I didn't order anything for myself. My friends already knew about Naughty Pig and had eaten there before. Today they ordered sandwiches to go as seating there is very limited. They tell me the sandwiches were excellent. I was standing in line, looking at some steaks, red meat that I wanted. A customer walked in, walked in front of me when they were done helping the guy that was already in the building they looked at the customer that walked in after me and asked them if they needed any help and proceeded to help them. Nobody said hi to me nobody said will be right with you to me. They just acted as if I wasn't even there. Extremely poor customer service. I've only been here two or three times. Well at least they save me 100 and 200 bucks I left I won't be back I didn't get what I wanted from there. I do not deal with people who treat their customers that way. This is my first review I've ever done. I found this place by accident because there was a bar I was looking up with the same name. When I clicked in it, I seen their food menu and it looked pretty good, so I told myself I'll try it one day... Today was the day. When I walked in, I said I was hungry and I wanted a sandwich. They said they were known for their cheesesteaks, so I said I'll have that. I got my cheesesteak and headed to the car. When I opened it up, juices were leaking from the bag. That's when I knew this was about to be some heat. When I say, this is the best cheesesteak I've had in my life!!!! It was well seasoned, cheesy, and just bursting with flavors I've never tasted in a cheesesteak. The bread was soft and just full of juicy steak. Canceled 0 stars "Naughty Pig" off Kalmia in Murrieta. I've been a Chef for 10+ years and I have been around the best quality meat. The texture, the taste, the way it sliced, the way it looked.. all wrong. Mark the owner will tell you you're getting good quality meat and charge you for good quality meat, but what they are serving is NOT what they say it is. They ripped me off for the final time and I felt the need to spread the word. They must be hurting pretty bad to do this to somebody who has brought them thousands of dollars in the past month. I bought 10 X 1/3lb cubes of "Japanese A5 Wagyu" , when asking which of the 4 distributors of Japan it was from & for the certificate of the grade and BMS I was met with confusion and tied tongues. "It was box with Japanese writing" said Mark the owner with the most guiltiest look on his face. The "Wagyu" was tough, and wasn't close to what I've seen many many times before. The New Yorks, rubbery and definitely not "pure black". The "prime" ribeye steak was tougher than roadkill jerky, the filets dryer than the Sahara desert. I would much rather drive way out of my way to The Butchery In O.C and pay just about the same for some incredible meat. I went in today to confront Mark and saw a very defensive man, pointing his finger, slamming his hand on the table and screamed at the top of his lungs telling me to "Get the f$&@ out", calling me an "A$$hole", saying "We don't make 2 million dollars a year for no reason" I replied " I know exactly why, it's because you cheat and rob the people." You can't put a label on something and charge the price of that and then give out this cheap, rubbery meat. Needless to say, that will be my last time getting robbed by these cheapskates. The pandemic did hurt a lot of businesses , this one especially..Mark should be ASHAMED!! read more

This is a cute little small time butcher shop and because of that the meats the sell carry. Pretty big price tag. Last time I went I bought a tri tip that was over double the price that you would find anywhere else. I paid it because I figured it would be better quality meat than you find at staters or Costco which is also great quality. I was thinking it would be more comparable to the butchery in Newport. I was wrong. I just paid over double for what actually wasn't even as good as staters or Costco. Won't go back to buy meat. Their sandwiches are pretty good though. read more
